Because.

Sara said that prison sex is hot. And Natasha agreed.

Plus, Samantha's review mentioned Jesus.

On a POGO STICK.

So of course I had to read this. I even added a "prison sex" shelf.

*looks around smugly*

That's right, beyotches. I have a PRISON SEX shelf.

This is essentially porn without plot, which means there's a story line, but it's kind of pointless. The whole talking-to-a-therapist thing didn't work for me. I wanted Sage's perfectly sweet girlfriend to go away and never come back. And I wanted to know why Xavier was locked up.

But it also means the story is absurdly fucking HAWT: rough, salacious, dirty, with teasing edges.

I liked the psychological aspects of Xavier's hold over Sage. Xavier had Sage begging for his cock. And Xavier couldn't go on without his boy.

I do love me some possessive cock action. Yup.

I came for the prison sex, and I left thinking there wasn’t enough prison sex. 😐

The therapist and Laura took too much page time. They were both irrelevant. 😤

Sage and Xavier should have had a full book instead of Jared and Gabriel. 😒

The sex was hot... But still not enough. 😩

"Straight", secret pit bottom discovers unexpected love of being held down and taken, after being taunted into willingly asking (pronounced 'begging') for it.

Reluctant, but consensual prison sex between two "straight" cell mates. Some feelings ensue when the dominant inmate is released.

This short read was hot as hell and didn't feel 'rapey' in the slightest.

I'd recommend giving it a shot for the shower scenes alone.

"EEK!!!, was that your finger??? No, no, you're good right there. As you were..." hehe

3.75 stars.

Damn Straight Boy was a yummy short M/M read. I loved the whole taboo prison setting. I also loved how much I felt Sage and Xavier's connection in such a quick read. Sage's lust for Xavier jumped off the pages even while he denied his feelings with every breath. Xavier was so take charge, possessive, and sexy. Alessandra Hazard wrote one hell of a down and dirty read with two sexy male leads that left me wishing the book was longer!

Straight Boy is book #0.5 in the Straight Guys series by Alessandra Hazard. This is a very short, very steamy little introduction to this series. I’ve read a couple of these books that are later in the series so I finally decided to start at the beginning and my oh my, this is a hot one!

Sage made a serious mistake that put him in prison for one year. He left behind a sweet, wonderful girl friend who is determined to wait for him. But prison is another world entirely. Sage’s cellmate, Xavier promises to protect him from the other inmates but in return, Sage will belong to him, in every way. Sage is straight. He has a girlfriend. But Xavier shows him pleasure in ways he never imagined he would enjoy.

After Sage’s release, he vows to return to life as he was before with his girlfriend. But now nothing seems right. And when he sees Xavier again, he knows right away what is missing.

As I said, this is super short and scorching. I loved every word. It kind of ends abruptly. I find myself wanting more of these two. I want to know what their jobs are, what their future looks like. That just means that the author did her job in making me love these characters. I’m going right on to book one, Just a Bit Twisted. I can’t wait to get started.

"I'm straight."

"Of course, you are." Xavier started moving the finger quickly. "You just like having my finger in your ass."

So prison bitching.

This gives great prison bitch! Any prison bitch lovers out there? This book has it, okay? Good psychological turning of a "straight man" in prison. And great smut too. Just thinking about this prison bitch going on his knees before realizing he's on them?

(I'm cooing over here.)

Sage is sentenced for a year in jail. Sadly, he's a pretty boy and straight...not that it matters. When fresh meat arrives, his ass is on the chopping block. His cellmate Xavier, claims top prize and gets dibs on that virgin ass.

Xavier, the bigger alpha doesn't rape Sage the first night. Oh no, no, no. He breaks that fucker down in the head...makes him crave being a hole, makes him need fingers in his ass, a dick to worship.

It's the bee's knees in prison bitch 101: make the hole crave being used.

"This was a mistake. Leave me alone. I'm straight."

Xavier zipped up and yanked Sage to him. "You can tell yourself whatever you want," he said in a low voice, gripping Sage's chin hard. "But you're mine. You'll always be mine. That's why you sucked my dick. Because it belongs in your mouth." His other hand kneaded Sage's ass, confident and proprietary. His voice dropped, "It belongs inside you."

Sage is all twisted in the head, doesn't know what to do. He can't think about anything but Xavier's massive, meaty, uncut and thick D. He worries about being straight, struggles with being a bitch, a prison bitch. The mental breakdown when he is released from prison is even better! He has a girlfriend, goes to counseling and he still needs to be held down and filled up with cock.

He learns though. Oh...he learns. Nothing is better for a prison bitch than having that D in any hole your lover wants.

"Maybe I'm not completely straight after all."

"Maybe? You just had my dick in you. It doesn't get gayer than that, straight boy."

Is the story super deep? Nope.
Is it perfect? Nope.

But it delivers a simple tale with enough heat and angst to carry it to the promised land. Just because I found the therapist to be unorthodox (also the therapist's name Natasha Richardson threw me off because it made me think of the actress and she died, made me pout) I'm only taking away half a star. The story is that good. I'll ignore the cut off from prison scenes (it's roughly half in prison, half out) and the therapist because Sage being a needy hole WAS THAT GOOD.

4.5 Stars - totally reading the rest of this author's work.

“Let’s cut to the chase,” Xavier said softly, looking him in the eye. “I’m going to fuck you. It’s going to happen and you’d better get used to the idea. You’re lucky you’re with me. I won’t hurt you, I won’t force myself on you, and I’ll protect you from others—if you suck my dick well. Believe me, other guys won’t be as nice as me.”

Yes this is be 56 pages and yes, this might be the most appealing and preferable book I've read all month (so far).

It's been a while since I've read... I honestly don't know what you would call this. Problematic? Toxic? Dominating with an extra UMPH? Non consensual consensual? Because yes, they all fit within 56 pages of this tiny book and YES, I devoured every second of it.

“I hate you,” he said, turning his head to glare at Xavier. He tried hard not to look at Xavier’s erection.
“Of course you do, Pretty.”

I have to say, Sage was an interesting character. If I read if from but his perspective, I would've hates his guts not gonna lie.

But.... Reading his perspective, brought an interesting introspective and it shows value that no matter the faults and mistakes and fucked up shit one does in their lifetime, their perspective should always be heard.

Every time I finish a book in this series I get so MAD. Why are there no more pages?? How can you end a book like this?!😭 (This wasn’t the last sentence.) and I keep going back for more this one is like the tenth one I've read so far 😅 There's just something about these toxic Relationships. That therapy shit made me so mad!! You went to therapy because you found out you liked dick??? It was such a waste of time

***** 5 HOLY SHIT! stars *****

----------------------
"Want it in me." Sage opened his eye, turning his head to look into Xavier's dark, nearly feral eyes.
"Fuck me," he whispered. "Want you to fuck me." I missed it. Missed this.
----------------------

*blink-blink*

What the fuck happened there??

So, I was in bed reading last night and had just finished a book, but wasn't quite ready to call it a night, so I found this shortie on my Kindle and started reading.
And it totally blew my mind! I was not expecting it, so that made it double exciting!

It was perfect. The story was stripped for unnecessary descriptions and details, which makes what was really happening, or I guess I should say, developing, stand out so much more.
The descriptions and dialogue were minimal, but yet they said soo much. There was so much happening between the lines, and what was actually written was HOT!!

------------------------
"Are you craz---mmm..." Sage's protests turned into a long moan as Xavier fucked his hole with his tongue, delving deeper and deeper, again and again, until it wasn't deep enough. Sage groaned and started pushing back on the tongue, wanting more, needing more, his hole twitching hungrily around the tongue. He whimpered, pushing his ass higher. It was dirty and obscene, and so very wrong, but he loved it. (...) he couldn't stop doing it---just as he couldn't stop needy whimpers.
-------------------------

I liked how the story progressed and the jump in the timeline didn't bother me at all, because it fitted with the story and the jumps where seamless.

I totally believed what Sage went through. He discovered something about himself, that threw him for a hefty loop and he struggled. The whole story was rough, but with lovely hints of surprising tenderness.

I wanted to kiss his therapist for some of the answers she gave Sage.

------------------------
"There's no such thing as normal. There is no definition of normal. Normal is subjective. You can't---and shouldn't---force yourself to want something "normal" and stop wanting what you truly want.
------------------------

The feel of the story kind of reminded me of Kora Knight's Sideline Submission, where there's also a seducer and a some what reluctant seducee. It's not the same story, just the feel of it reminded me.
I recommend reading it in one sitting and it's just 47 pages, so no problem.
The story is #0.5 in the Straight Guys series. I haven't checked the rest of the series out yet. But this does totally great on it's own.

Reading Straight Boy: A short story made me a very happy woman!

I've got just one more thing to say to you:

ps. I've already re-read it, 'cus... you know. ;) Dayum.

⋰⋱⋰⋱⋰⋱*Too Short*⋰⋱⋰⋱⋰⋱

I still cannot believe that it took all this time to actually read this one. I have read and re-read all of Alessandra Hazard 's other books yet never this one. While I don't regret waiting this long, I don't regret reading it either. It was short, a little bit hot and fast forward. Very easy to read with little depth. I wished it had been longer so it had more depth as we didn't really get to know the characters but again, it's just a novelette.

The characters:
Sage (23), in prison - been sentenced to a year in prison for driving under the influence and injuring another person.
Xavier, (30/35?), Sage's cellmate. Was in prison for six years before being released.
Laura, Sage's girlfriend who he told that she didn't have to wait for him after her first visit to the prison. She nodded, but appears to have waited for him as they are together in part 2.
Arman, a fellow prison inmate who Sage had formed a tentative friendship of sorts with.
→ Dr. Richardson, Sage's therapist after he's released from prison.

Quick basic facts:
Genre: - (Adult) Contemporary Romance (M/M)
Series: - Series (Standalone), Book Zero.Five.
Love triangle? -
Cheating? -
HEA? -
Favorite character? - Xavier.
Would I read more by this author/or of series? - Sure.
Would I recommend this book/series? - Sure.
Will I read this again in the future? - No.
Rating - 2/3 stars.

Now that was quite a ride - literally.

I loved the prison concept and the sex scenes were amazing, but the sexual identity question was deeply unsatisfying for me here.

Sage and Xavier's sexual relationship in prison seemed like a very strong dom/sub theme that went beyond sexual identities. Both guys repeatedly call themselves straight, yet Sage seems to be drawn to Xavier's masculinity, even though he claims that gay porn does nothing for him.

Either this is a very weird GFY plot, or I simply did not understand the author's intention.

I like, however, how this series seems to play with the (fluid) sexual identity of straight men. If nothing else, it is fascinating to observe.

3 stars!

Well that was some hot prison sex

I loved Xavier despite not knowing anything about him. Sage was a power bottom slut and i adored him.

“I’m Sage.”
The guy opened his eyes. They were deep brown and oddly intense. His gaze swept over Sage before lingering on his mouth. “Nice to meet you, Sage. How well do you suck dick?”
Sage flushed, stepping back. “I’m straight.”
The guy lifted his eyebrows, looking vaguely amused. “Everyone’s straight here, Blue Eyes.”
“I have a girlfriend!”

I want my own Xavier. And prison sex is hot.

“When I was in prison, I had sex with a man. I was his—his bitch. He fucked me whenever he wanted. He ordered me to do things. He used me. He basically owned me. And everyone knew.”
“I liked it.”

And i loved it

Re Read January 2020

I'm really loving this series!!
So this one is the story of Sage and Xavier, how they meet in prison. Even though this one is a short novella in a way I liked it better than book one. Just because, Sage struggled with his feelings for Xavier and the fact that he found himself gay. I can understand his doubts he thought he was one thing and then he meets, Xavier, and bam everything changes. So in that sense it seemed a bit more realistic. The only reason I gave it a three start was because it was shorter. But anyway this was another sexy, and steamy great addition to the (straight boys) series❣

Yea, so.... I did not expect to like this. At all.
I thought it was going to be weird or uncomfortable or just down right offensive. Something along those lines.
However, I was curious about it. So. I read it.
And uh.. I liked it. I was shocked, but it really liked it.

I thought Sage and Xavier's 'relationship' was extremely intense (and hot).
I found myself wishing this was a full-length novel rather than a short novella, because I wanted a lot more from them.
It would have been really awesome to see more of the build-up and all that, but I also just wanted more of them being together in general. I bet that would have been great.
Due to its short length, it was missing some much needed depth and emotional connection.
Even so, it was a super enjoyable read; really had me entertained and hooked throughout the entire thing.

I honestly think the premise and characters had the potential to be really freaking good if it had been longer. It’s a bit of a waste, even if I still liked it as it was now.

I should watch Oz because there’s just something about men in prison. On top of that the showers? Why is that so hot?!

Now that I think about it, it obviously goes hand in hand with voyeurism.

Poor Laura but at least he’s trying but I can’t even imagine how she feels. Being a woman who isn’t ideally attractive I’ve discovered I don’t want to be with someone who doesn’t want me fully. She’s a far better woman than me, because I would’ve walked away.

Woah, didn’t expect this one to be emotional but that first encounter afterward … took my breath away.

Again and even more so problematic that this was far too short. Man, this shit is like an addiction … maybe that’s why they’re so short, to keep you coming back for more. 🤔

What is it about prison sex we like so much? Is it the MM factor? The straight to gay? Forbidden? Voyeurism? Then my favorite, cheating? It’s all of it!!!!!!

Sage and Xavier are cellmates. Xavier claimed Sage from day one. Xavier didn’t push Sage. He did have to touch him in front of other prisoners. Sage struggling with his sexuality and didn’t want to label himself. He loved Xavier's touch and did miss it when he wouldn’t touch him.

Straight Boy is a quick read under an hour; it’s hot and did send a message of why do we need to label our sexuality? I was left to want more. Thank you to Debbie for getting me to read this, it got me out of my funk, and now I need to read the whole series.

So this was even better than I hoped. My first prison sex read and I really liked it.

Sage is charged with a felony DUI with bodily harm and is sentenced to a year in prison. As we meet him, he is taking the walk to his cell where he meets his cell mate, Xavier. From the first moment we meet Xavier I loved him.

“Everyone’s straight here, Blue Eyes."

Xavier tells Sage he will won't fuck him until Sage asks but Xavier will also give Sage protection. The protection of course has to come with a bit of show and tell and that just so happens in the showers and is hot.

He had a man’s fingers in his ass and he was loving it. But right now, he didn’t care how wrong and dirty—and gay—it was.

Why didn't anyone tell me prison sex was hot?

So anyway, Xavier shows that Sage is his "thing" and Sage starts to like it and they pass the year of Sage's sentence and then he is released.

The story is told in two parts, in prison and out and I was surprised the level of emotion I felt while reading this very short story. The process Sage has to go through not only in prison with Xavier but when he is released and back to his "normal" life with his girlfriend, Laura was a bit sad. I felt for Sage and his confusion on what he should want and what he really wanted.

When Sage sees Xavier again, on the outside? Goodness, it was hot and swoony and just so throat fucking sexy that I want to start stalking that park to see if I can find those boys in action.
It was dirty and obscene, and so very wrong, but he loved it.

Yeah, so. What can I say? This was a fun, hot and even sweet read about a boy who finds out prison can teach him many new things...

It was deliciously wrong, fucked up in all the right ways, and sadly way too short.

This is a book made in heaven for my quirks. Yesssssss!!! 😂 I love it and I love it soooo much. You know a book is good when it’s available on KU and you ended up buying it anyway. 😁 Frankly, I’ve always loved GFY theme books and straight guys going gay. I am one of those people who strongly believe that ”No man is 100% straight. 😌 Given the situation and the seduction, anything sex related is enjoyable. And man, do I love prison romance. 😜 If I were a guy, I might get myself get convicted just for the sake of experiencing it. 😂👏 Anyhow, let’s jump to the review. 😘

Sage is straight. (Yayyy .. it rhymes! 😝) No, seriously, he’s straight. But he has a very pretty face, blue eyes, blonde hair and pouty lips. And it doesn’t help when he was convicted for a year in prison for reckless driving under influence and injuring a person. He knows that someone’s going to take advantage of his body given his physical appearances. It’s only a matter choice that he’d be someone’s exclusive bitch or get gangbanged. 😁

Xavier is my kind of guy. ☺️ A bit of a psychopath, quite twisted, not a bully but forceful and adamant of what he wants. He likes to play mind games and as soon as he laid eyes on his fresh inmate, he’d decided to mount that pretty boy. 😂👏 It’s only going to be sooner or later. And he’d do his best to make that pretty boy likes his cock, beg and squirm for it.

Xavier’s seduction of Sage deserves an award. 👏😁 From being straight, he manipulated and made Sage likes him and craves him like an addict. And the sex, that was electric. 😍 Really, I am so used to reading violence and very dirty and filthy smut, I consider myself quite jaded and this shortie made me *ahem .. ahem* uncomfortable. 😂 So there you go! 😜 I love everything about this short story. The only complaint, instead of writing it as just a short story, I would have loved it to read it as a full-length novel. And I found this very unhealthy and wrong obsession of these two find weirdly cute and adorable. 😁 And that is my final verdict and I rest my case. 😉

Favorite excerpts from the story: 💚💙💚

“That’s it,” Xavier said against his ear, licking and kissing it. “You’re my thing now. Mine.”

“There’s no such thing as normal. There is no definition of normal. Normal is subjective. You can’t—and shouldn’t—force yourself to want something ‘normal’ and stop wanting what you truly want. It’s a sure way to make your life miserable.”

“Yes, that’s it,” Xavier grunted into his ear. “You’re going to come, just from getting fucked, Blue Eyes.” Xavier slammed his cock against his prostate, again and again. “My slut—fucking mine—” And then, softer, “Mine—”

Prison story? Yes please!

---

SUHWEET BABY JESUS ON A POGO STICK.
“There’s no such thing as normal. There is no definition of normal. Normal is subjective. You can’t—and shouldn’t—force yourself to want something ‘normal’ and stop wanting what you truly want. It’s a sure way to make your life miserable.”
Sage made a terrible mistake that involved too much to drink and a car. With a year long sentence, he's not sure how he'll make it in prison. Not a boy with his looks.

But Xavier, his cellmate, has other plans. But when does a game become real? And what do you do when your prison becomes your home?
“Something funny?” Xavier murmured, still nipping at his throat.

“You fucked me up,” Sage said, sliding a hand down Xavier’s wide back.

Xavier stopped kissing his neck. He propped himself up on an elbow and looked down at him. There was an odd expression in his eyes. “Then we’re even.”
God. That was so damn good. I am so pleased right now.

The story was six shades of hot, all of them equally wonderful. On top of that, I did feel for Sage and what he was struggling for. The humiliation component of it was so well done and left me desperately wanting more.

I would've loved to know more about the characters, especially Xavier. We get to hear a possible reason for him being in prison, but no real explanation, especially considering he only has a six year sentence. It would've been an easy five stars if it was expanded more. And I would love to see more of these two. Seriously. Fantastic.

Prison love. That is all. I'm happy now.

OH! And side note: I thought the counseling sessions were actually pretty well done here. It's a big pet peeve of mine when people completely butcher how a typical session should go, but that wasn't the case here.
