Elite King's Club #6

Sancte Diaboli: Part One

Rate this book
The Devil comes with baggage, and not the kind you can lose. I was two years old when he saved me. I didn’t understand much at that age, but I remember the pale boy with hair as dark as ink, saving me from two evils. He said he would protect me; I just didn’t know he meant from himself. I was raised in the arms of evil, tailored for the Devil like a custom Armani suit, and every day he wore it like a weapon. Brantley thought by keeping me locked in his manor that it would protect me, and it did. Until it didn’t. As I slowly adapt to The Elite Kings Club and the dark, sinister world that exists around the outlaws in suits, I come to learn that the monster everyone fears is the very same one I crave. Like a prized trophy, I sit on his throne… Something quite pretty, an object he owns… She’s a porcelain doll, so shiny, so clean… Something I want to polish, but to never be seen… The time has come, I am in his world… Now his Dea, can be admired by all… The thing with porcelain is it’s fragile and delicate… It would only take a second for me to eradicate it…

Amo is back at it again with the brilliance of the EKC
I thought this world couldn’t get any better, how wrong I was. Saint is a new magnificent member to add to the fam and Brantley stole my devilish heart.

Now, I sit with the jigsaw puzzle that is this book and try to put everything together piece by piece. Until part two, I’ll be waiting for the answers to all my theories.

The Devil and his Angel!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: ❤️💙💜💛💚
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📙📕📗📘📙
World building: 🌎🌏🌍🌎🌏
Character development: 👤👤👤👤👤

The setting: The Elite Kings Club World (Hamptons, New York, Perdita Island)

The Hero(s): Brantley Vitiosis - was used and abused by his father when he was young. When Saint came to his home at two years old, he immediately took on the role of her protector and she became his responsibility. He owns her.

The heroine: Saint Dea Vitiosis - Saint is the daughter (silver swan) of Bishop’s father, Hector Hayes and Katsia Struprum, Tillie’s mother. Since she is considered a swan, she should have been killed as a baby, but Hector gave her to Lucien Vitiosis and Brantley to hide away.

The Love Story: The relationship between Brantley and Saint is an odd one, he protects her and it seems at the beginning anyway, that he has more brotherly feelings toward her than anything. Though he says he has always felt compelled to protect her, so there seems to be something more.

There are passages interspersed and told in italics in which the protagonist might be a girl though it is hard to tell if it is supposed to be Saint or not. Though whomever it is certainly doesn’t seem as innocent as Saint, and she isn’t doing things we want for Saint. So it is a bit confusing.

While reading I often get caught up in the minutia, especially the differences in how the characters act and how I would act in similar situations. That seemed to happen quite a bit in this book. Like thinking why doesn’t this character just ask what is going on instead of wondering? Or why doesn’t this character just tell the other person what they know instead of it being so one sided?

Saint was new to the EKC and she new nothing of what goes on or how she fit in and nobody seemed willing to let her know. I found that odd but it did help with the mystery and suspense going on in the book. The book flipped around a lot, from the past to the present, to the thoughts of this girl who got herself into something over her head.

Like I said, it was a bit scattered, but it was also so very good. I wanted Brantley and Saint to get together, and though they kept saying how he was the devil, I have always liked him and with the way he protected her when he was younger, he was even more likable in this book. Though Brantley definitely has his demons and got them legitimately through a severely messed up childhood. For those of you with triggers, many of the things Brantley went trough are detailed via flashbacks, so be warned. If you read the previous books you know what some of those were.

Overall, the book is the best of the series so far. The relationship between Brantley and Saint goes through many stages in the time they have known each other, but it seems they were always destined to be together. The ending is totally chaotic and a huge cliffhanger, I am not even really sure what was going on, but I can’t wait for more!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Me after reading the last scene from the book

description

And then getting a migraine thanks to the thousand different theories swimming in my head

description

We are back into the world of the Elite Kings and it’s FINALLY BRAN BRAN’S TURN!!!

So the book starts off a little slow for me with Saint getting introduced to everyone, learning about the club, what they do etc etc. Ngl I was getting a little bored and started skimming some chapters but it was only because some of the information wasn’t new to me. As I have read the previous books from the series... so yeah...

While Saint was getting to know EKC in the present, there were also some chapters in between where you will get to read flashbacks about Brantley’s horrific past and how he has always protected Saint from it (I love him so much).

Now Brantley. I love him. So much. His possessive side is hot. Af. Sex? Kinky fucker. I feel really sorry for anyone who ever decides to even lay a finger on Saint. Bran bran will annihilate that person. That person will cease to exist.

Saint, her personality suits her upbringing. You will find her sweet and naive. Even though she has been locked in the house for so many years, Brantley still managed to spoil her. A lot. I like how she started talking back to Brantley after meeting Tillie 😂 I want to see more of that in the upcoming book as she has Bran Bran wrapped around her little fingers.

Hopefully the next book focuses more on the Brantley and Saint! I feel like they didn’t get their deserved screen time here

Also MADSHIP HELLOOOOOOO

More information about our runaway swan whose head I wanted to smack really bad. But she is really lucky that she is pregnant. My bishop 😭😭😭😭😭😭 I felt so bad for him here, like he isn’t the same Bishop I read about and loved so much. Madison better get her ass back home and make him whole again.

How I fucking missed this world!
So so so fucking much!
Amo Jones created The Elite Kings universe from the depths of her crazy and messed up mind, and I'm freaking grateful for that! What a wonderful place her mind is!

Oh Bran Bran... How can we not love the darkest King? The twisted but loyal dark knight? The fucked up hottie?

Saint will surprise you for sure!
She's a White Queen for our Black King!
She's her own entity and she's sooooo different of our previous EKC's girls, that she's almost like a lost fairy in their dark forest!
I'm obsessed with her!

"Too rare for earth, too doomed for Heaven."

This book started slow, and I'm not gonna lie here... I was starting to think that it wouldn't be everything that I was expecting.
Ahhhh... Could I be more wrong?
Guess not! Because slowly, showing me how Saint grew up, and how Bran Bran became the dark King, she also showed me their side, and how they connect to each other, even without want it or knowledged. And how dangerous their world truly is for someone like her.

Bran Bran is everything that we expected him to be and more!
He's dark, intense, lethal, psychotic and so fucking hot!
I mean... I will only say three things:
Prince Albert, Jacob's ladder and blood play.
🥵🥵🥵🔥🔥🔥

"Kiss Me. It'll distract you from the pain. Tear my fucking back up if you need, but you'll be licking those wounds once you're done."

Saint isn't the naive and clueless girl that I thought she would be either... Ohhh she's a perfect match for Brantley!
She's a whole fashion show inside a small package!
I love her style and her calmness while facing the most unpredictable and untamable of the Kings.

Her friendship with Bishop is one of my favorite parts of this book!
I won't mention Madship 🥺😭

And I won't say anything else, because I don't want to spoil, but I'll say this... It's 2am, and after I've finished this book at 8pm, I just fell asleep for 3 hours!
Like my brain needed the rest to deal with that end, and that fucked up and twisted cliffhanger!
I wasn't prepare for the doubts that it create on my mind, or the heartbreak!

I cannot wait for Sancte Diaboli part 2!

“Whoever created Brantley did it with intent. Intention for him to either run Hell or guard it. I haven’t figured out which yet”

This is the story of the Devil.

Pure Darkness with a touch of blood and shadows ...

Finally we got to see Bran Bran in action , and it wasn’t anything like what I imagined , no ones imagination can get that far , I’m still speechless…

He is a weapon , a monster… but even the darkest soul has his weakness and she looks like an Angel but make no mistakes , even the purest soul can be corrupted and she fell right into the Devil’s arms .

“There was an invisible bond that knitted our souls together from the moment he took my hand. I think he hated it.”

Brantley took her in , protecting and hiding her from the rest of the world. She was his secret but in the EKC world secrets can’t be hidden for to long …

Saint on the outside is just perfect , like a porcelain doll. So fragile , so pure and so kind.

But on the inside there’s so much more, we can say that she has some crazy genes from Bishop and Tilli’s as well . She’s curious , bold and somehow the only one who can keep up with Bran Bran’s demons .

“I am a monster and she damn well knows it. She just made it her pet”

They’re complete opposite , dark and light , the moon and the sun , the yin and the yang , but one cannot exist without the other . They just make sense together .

The sexual chemistry surely isn’t an issue, the things I read in this book where on the next level . Brantley just blow my mind , and Saint really shocked me.

Nothing is what it looks like . I’m not gonna spoiler anything but get ready for something that’s behind extreme , I don’t even know how to describe it but now I can definitely understand the pros of all those piercings . It’s a really hot ride . I think it’s not for everyone but It surely suits our Bran Bran!😏

“His soul was haunted , he walked this earth as an empty vessel. His eyes were the entrance to hell, and every time he looked at you, he would draw you in closer to the burning iron gates.”

And yes , there’s also so much about our Madship , and you’re gonna love how Saint fits perfectly in the role of Bishop’s sister , their relationship is gonna melt your heart . And our queen Tillie always ready to make the gang go crazy !🔥

And THAT CLIFFHANGER ?! WHAT WAS THAT?!😧

Amo Jones you created a masterpiece , I’m grateful to be part of this family . The elite kings changed my world, in the best possible way… And after this book I’m even more obsessed .

Nothing I’ll say will make justice to this beautiful story, but I’ll tell you this : you’ll cry , you’ll laugh and at the end you’ll be broken because you’ll feel so much at the same time but you’ll love every second of it because we just can’t get enough of this beautiful world.

“Brantley may be the Devil incarnate , but he protects those he chooses to with the same fierceness it takes to rule over Hell.”

I gave it 65237856872 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I hope you’ll enjoy it and became obsessed like I did!💙

Enjoy!

Sancte Diaboli is a full-length novel. Book six in The Elite Kings Club, Part one in Brantley and Saints story.

Tillie and Nate have always been my favorite in this series, but move over because Saint and Brantley are killing it. All I can say is WOW!!!!! I have missed my misfits of The Elite Kings Club. I read this book a week ago and still thinking of how I will write this review and how it affected me. Not only that, but I don't want to give any spoilers, so this review will be vague. My suggestion is go in blind. On my dark scale is a medium gray.

I freaking love Bran Bran, he is the hardest of all of them and when he loves, it’s the rare special kind of love. One where you would do anything for that person and yet still feel like he doesn’t deserve her for her protection. Saint is a no drama, says it like it is, loyal, and can keep a secret. She tested Brantley without even trying. Such a broody bastard and oh so kinky. My heart still broke for Bishop and Madison and I wanted to smack some sense into her. I can't want to see how that unfolds.

There are still so many secrets. Hector, I can't stand the guy. Such a snake in the grass. He holds so many of those secrets. That cliffhanger gave me the biggest book hangover. Ever. I didn't see anything coming, not one. You will ask questions throughout the book, but as the story unfolds, most do get answered. To me this book is flawless, and I can't wait for Part Two.

"Tortured souls still weep; they tear themselves apart in dark corners where no one can see."

▽Brantley Vitiosis
"The boy who had an empty soul and carried the eyes of death.

Brantley is the character I've been endlessly curious about. He has a past that is beyond dark, and that has shaped him to be the layered man he is now. In every other sentence throughout the series, Brantley is referred to as Devil Incarnate, evil etc. But personally, he is a great mc. He has his demons but he doesn't drown them in alcohol like so many other heroes before him did. He owns them. In his own words,“Demons make good pets.”
Brantley felt achingly genuine. The way he protected and respected Saint was especially precious. In fact, he is one of the best male characters I've read about.

"He is a lot of things, all bad, mostly, but when he cares about someone, he cares."

▽Saint Dea Vitiosis
“Too rare for earth, too doomed for Heaven.”

Saint was refreshingly real. I loved how empathetic she was. She came across as really mature. Even more so than Tillie and Madison (yes, I said that🙈). Hers and Brantley's connection was a combination of beautiful, intense, all-encompassing and dark. She's gentle but there's an undercurrent of immense strength and also confidence. Like she knows her worth (and that's my favorite trait right there). She has made a life for herself she's satisfied with. That's the vibe I get from her the most, satisfied and confident. And that is a very powerful mix..

"Because that’s the witchcraft she possesses. She’s able to snatch the soul out of you without you even realizing."

▽Madship
“You are obviously in love with each other.”
“Eh, I’d call it an obsession—”
I glare at him.
He rolls his eyes. “Yeah, we are, but it’s toxic.”

I couldn't agree more.

Wow, there's a lot of explaining both Bishop and Madison has got ahead of them. Madison is, well, not my favorite part of Sancte Diaboli. Honestly, she came across as being unable to rise to the occasion. She did have a seriously disturbing past and I get that. I want so much for her and I'm rooting for her. As the series proceeds, Bishop is slowly becoming a stellar character. Loved his connection with Saint. It came off as really natural.
Can't wait for Ruined Castles and where Amo Jones is going to take Madship!

“You’d take her back?” I need to be reassured.
He stares down at me and smiles a genuine one this time. “Every fucking time.”

We'll see.

▽Tatum
“That’s Tate. Madison’s ride or die, and Tillie’s ‘she should die’.”

Finally, finally she's given the character development that she deserves! She's still got a loong way to go and it's going to be one interesting journey. Hopefully, we'll see more of it later on. And let's just admit it, she was a great friend to Madison albeit a really awful one to Tillie.

▽I have to say this is the most intricate book in TEKC series yet. And the best written tbh. The plot was consuming and just when you think you have it all figured out, you're proven false. ThereAgain. There were some things I needed time to come to terms with. The storyline is absolutely addictive. All the tangled secrets, the time-old traditions, the complexity of each characters and the crazy deceptions that are just waiting to be brought to light! The suspense element is everything. Also what was that cliffhanger?? I have no idea what direction all this is leading towards but I can barely wait to find out!! ✧✧

"Loving Brantley will be no easy feat for any girl. It will take a tough-ass female to handle all of the love that boy has to offer. He will be demanding, moody, distant at times, and wildly untamed with his love, but he’s smart. He does it to protect himself."

***COMING Feb. 9th***

What in the word do I do with myself? That cliffhanger. Seeing the freaking crew together. The EKC will always feel like coming home. I love them all so much, and Brantley and Saint, whole having that EKC vibe, very much have a story that is them.

I’m living for the transition of these boys to men, and seeing their ladies by their sides.

Holy fuck. I'm dead. That ending though. I'm already suffering withdrawal symptoms. Didn't think I could love a King more than I love Bishop but Brantley is close to taking his crown. I love Saint and she is PERFECT for Bran Bran. My heart breaks for poor Madison. Bishop better man the fuck up in the next book, and where the hell are Nate, Hunter, and Jase when she needs them? I want to smash all their heads together and knock some sense into them.

ADORE this world Amo has created, and I can't wait for the next part

You better go into this book with an open mind because Jones is at her darkest and dirtiest. Brantley is everything we’ve been waiting for. He’s not damaged, he is completely soulless. Except when it comes to one person. His Saint. He is very protective of her and I can see why. She’s everything pure on the outside but there’s something sinister lurking within.

The whole gangs here, with very few exceptions, but the Kings are older now and falling into their roles set out before them. Nate and Tillie are, well.....Nate and Tillie. Still madly in love and trying not to kill each other. I think I have fallen a little more in love with Bishop though. He’s trying to do what’s best but man, it hurts to watch his pain. His and Madison’s. There are a few pleasant surprises too but I’ll let you figure that out for yourself.

You do get answers but you know what else you get? A whole lot more questions and once again, you’re left trying to figure out who to trust. I have to hand it to Jones. She keeps you on your toes and holy Taboo Batman, when she goes for it, she goes for it. You know what though? It was HOT. Ain’t no shame in that game.

I love being back in this world. Jones paints such a great picture that I never want to leave it. She has so much more for us and I can’t wait to see what twist she throws at us next because you know it’s not close to being over.

Ok- here I go.
My most anticipated book of this year, last year, and the one before that finally fell into my hands. To say I was excited was an understatement.

I’m going to try my hardest to put into words how this book made me feel, to do it justice. This book was so beautifully written, from the first page to the very last word . Amo mother fucking Jones did her thannnnnggg with it , and even more. I missed being in the elite kings world and being back in it made me feel all giddy.

I’ve laughed so hard with this book, I’ve cried, I even yelled! SD gave me sooo many different emotions, I was left with such a high.

Saint, oh sainty- she has became my favorite. There is truly no one like her and I think that’s why I fell hard . She has this purity to her, dainty, but I felt her darkness as well.

My king, MY FAVORITE KING BRANTLEY. I knew he was going to be sinister and all things bad BUT MY GOD- he takes the lead for the baddest. He’s cold, an asshole, , heartless, and evil and I think that’s why he owns my souls- he is who he is, he’s consistent- hes an asshole since the beginning of the series and still is-no bull shit, no masking, and he owns up to his darkness. His dynamic and interactions with the other characters gave me a high. From the banters between the boys, to his possessiveness with Saint, I HAVE FALLEN MORE FOR THIS MAN THAN I HAVE EVER FALLEN FOR ANY CHARACTER WRITTEN.

I was expecting an amazing book, but the word amazing wouldn’t come close to describe the masterpiece amo has created. I was already in love with this series, but after this- I wouldn’t say that anymore- I’m fucking obsessed, like a fein trying to get its next hit.

I’m drained- my emotions are all over the place. I’m happy, I’m broken, I’m in heat 🤣(thank you bran bran for that) I’m freaking everything. In conclusion, through all these rambling words, what I’m trying to say is Amo, this is book of the year and it’s only January. You made waiting for SD so worth it. I give you all the fuxking stars because B you took this series to another level! I honestly can’t wait until part 2

I’m serious I cannot wait 👀

I love this book. I really wanted to take my time reading this book because I know for a fact that I would want to read it in one sitting which I absolutely could have. But I really wanted to take my time and digest everything that I was reading after every chapter. And I’m so glad I did that. It may have taken me a few days to actually read it but it was well worth it. I purposefully took my time reading this book, since I knew it would kill me.

Brantley and Saint are such a unique couple. These two. I didn’t realize how much I wanted to hear Brantley's story until I started reading this book. I’ve always been interested in him since the second I picked up The Silver Swan. I’ve wanted to learn all the nitty-gritty details about him and especially about the girl he’s kept hidden away forever. I always thought that Bishop and Madison were my favorite couple although I really love every single character in this entire Series. But Brantley and Saint really just kick it up 5 million notches for me. There, if I can say love, for one another is explosive and fatal. But oh so beautiful. The heat and the steam is undeniable. Honestly, Brantley is everything I’ve ever asked for and everything you’ve ever wanted. Hands down his character is so broken and I loved getting a deeper look into what makes him, him. Saint is hands down my favorite girl in the EKC world. She is quiet, sweet and demure, but also not at the same time. She is unpredictable and such an easy character to fall in love with.

I love how every single book in the series is interwoven into each other. If you’re gonna read this book you need to read the books prior to the series. If you go in just reading this book you’re going to be very very confused. When I was reading this book I felt absolutely hypnotized. Unlike any other book I’ve read, the second I started reading I felt like I was in a trance. This book is so freaking good. I mean earth shattering, mind boggling, full body chills kind of good. If you’re looking for something that’s dark, will keep you on your toes, leave you absolutely breathless and suck your soul out this is a great read for you. In all seriousness, I love this book. I love this book so much. I need part two immediately and I cannot wait to add this book to my bookshelf as well as add this to one of my favorite reads of 2021 so far.

It’s dark, twisted and a must read for anyone who loves Amo Jones or dark romance.
This book is literally off the charts for me. Hands-down six star read.

Sancte Diaboli is the latest installment in The Elite Kings Club series by Amo Jones, the queen of darkness. Told in dual perspectives, this is the long-awaited story that follows Brantley (Bran Bran) and Saint (Dea).

Whenever Amo Jones drops on my kindle I know for a fact that I'm in for one hell of a ride. That is exactly what she delivered in Sancte Diaboli. It takes you back and forth between the past and the present where you will learn of the abuse Brantley suffered at the hands of his father and how he came to be the protector of Saint, a silver swan.

I absolutely loved Brantley and Saint. They were perfectly matched. She was the light to his darkness, and there was no denying the chemistry and pull between them. It was explosive. What confused me was the crazy cliffhanger that we were left with. I'm not sure what was happening, but I know that I can't wait for more.

Overall, this story was emotional, twisted, riveting and all-consuming. Once again, Amo Jones proves to us that her words are a gift. She is a master storyteller, and her wicked tales will hook you right from the start. Highly recommended! Five stars and more for Brantley, Saint and Sancte Diaboli!

This man is truly the Dark King and when I knew that his heroine was going to be a timid , shy girl who could take his beast , then he'll yeah , sign me up!!! Brantley and Saint are goals!! They are legit goals for all the dark Romance couples out there!

Amo jones always somehow manages to hit the nail on the head when it comes to dark Romance. Brantley's story was full of darkness and so much kink! I always had high expectations from his man and Amo certainly gave them all to me and then some. The Dark King is back to ruin you all and you better be ready because he never goes slow!!

The ending of this book was one epic Mindfuck. Like there is no sugar coating it , it was an epic twist! The best Cliffhanger ever. By the time the book was over,my mind was spinning with a ton of theories and I am literally counting days until I get the next installment!! The author works wonders when it comes to dark Romance and I can't wait for more from her!!

⭐⭐⭐⭐ 3.75/5

**SPOILER ALERT**

But I'm still debating to lower more the rating, maybe it's because I had really high expectations after reading all the reviews and comments and seeing all the edit in sns but the truth is that as I kept reading the book more disappointed I was, with the characters mainly but also with the course of the story... I was bored out of my mind by 47% of the book it took me 24h to completely read the book and for me that's a lot.
My favourite character was obviously Brantley (although I would prefer if he would tone it down a bit all that freakish blood play during sex), his darkness I loved, his quiet and serene demeanour, his capacity to inflict fear without opening his mouth, I consider him a complex character (probably has everythingto do with his awful childhood and upbringing) and the way he interacts with Bishop was one of my favourite things of this book too.
The Swan (witch) theme is really creative and really engaging (at least for me) it was mostly what kept me going till the end.
So maybe I'm biased because I don’t like relationships in which women are treated as sexual objects or ones that appears manages or threesomes but I really hoped they wouldn't give that much attention to that part of their friendship drama and focus more on the storyline but well...

I think I will continue reading the next one (with much lower expectations) and decide how much I will rate depending on that one.

Happy reading to everyone who's currently reading the book!!
And of course let's not forget to respect everyone's opinions and be respectful to each other. 🥰😜

The Elite Kings world will always hold a special place in my heart- this deviant, dark, twisted, alpha men came storming into my life and introduced me to an enigmatic, dark world I crave, stories that haunt me, and unforgettable heroines that feel like my friends. And, they introduce me to the bold, evocative, and assaulting prose of Amo Jones- an author whose style and point of view is truly one of a kind. Every time I open up an Elite King story, I’m struck by the nostalgic twin ways of glee and anxiety. This might not be a world I fully understand, but it is a a world that feels familiar and enchanting. So, needless to say, I DEVOURED this book with eager anticipation. And Bran Bran and Saint were so much more than I could have imagined.

Saint is the Elite Kings heroine I have been waiting for- the pure lightness, the heart and soul, the SOFT to all the dark and gnarly edges of these men and their fearless women. While I love the gritty and dangerous Amo heroines of prior stories, Saint brings something to this series that truly elevates the story. Her heart, her goodness not only serves as an incredibly captivating character contrast, but she serves a critical role in this overarching story. Saint brings humanity to this story- and in doing so, she humanizes all the dark, twisted, ruthless characters that we already love. Her essence brings out nuances in their characters’ that didn’t yet exist. She exposes vulnerabilities and emotional complexity that we’ve yet to unpack. And it is glorious. As a character alone, she’d already established herself as my favorite, but as we start to see her interactions with the Kings, the way she stabilizes them, I loved her even more. She’s the anchor- even if she’s not quite leaned into that role just yet- and not just because of her own novelty to this world, but because of Brantley.

Alright- truth be told, I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about Brantley- we’ve had plenty of time with him in other books, but that is only a glimmer of this beautiful soul. He not only redeemed himself and endeared himself to me in ways I did not expect, but he did something I thought was impossible- he proved to me he is worthy of a character like Saint. This is really the creative genius of Amo Jones’ character writing. Her characters are never transparent- never forthcoming, we often have to read between the lines, and we’re often miring through half troughs and smoke and mirrors. Because her characters aren’t just opaque, sometimes they’re intentionally misleading, even to us as readers. And Brantley- he is somehow everything we expected and nothing at all. He’s prickly and grumpy and volatile- but there are so many dimensions to him that I never imagined, and I see him in a whole new way. But what I loved most is that Amo doesn’t truly soften him- or transform him. Again, the brilliance of Amo characters- she doesn’t apologize or qualify her characters’ darkness, she just gradually gives it shape, more substance, in ways that are spellbinding. And speaking of consuming- THESE TWO ARE SO HOT.

What I love most about this series (and Amo’s writing in general) is that there is a chaotic and disorienting frenetic mania to her prose that gives her stories such a bold and consuming energy. So much so that her version of the gothic romantic suspense creates a tone, an aura that becomes a character in and of itself. A character that confronts and You don’t read an Amo Jones book- you don’t even experience it- you BLEED it. Her words, their worlds cut- small at first, but eventually she leaves you with a massive wound. But a wound energizes, invigorates, and liberates the debauched parts of our souls. And Saint and Brantley's story might be my favorite manifestation of that energy yet, because Amo paints their story in contrasts- light and dark, turbulence and peace, carnal and pure, tender and violent. Juxtapositions that not only add depth to characters but bring nuances to their entire world. Saint and Brantley may be opposites, but their souls are one.

Like all things EKC- NOTHING is as it seems. Secrets, deception, and evasiveness are the game. Amo really builds the anticipation-the narrative itself mimicking the contrast of our lovers. There is a quiet gentleness to the narrative early on that lulls, seduces- a beautiful mirage that lets us fall into these characters and also jolts us when the inevitable twisted legacy of this group festers. In the last leg, our story careens towards an epic conclusion that has me BEGGING for the second book- not just for answers, but because my heart's already missing its dark and its light.

Bishop might be the King, but Brantley is GOD!!

It is no secret if you have read any of my reviews on The Elite Kings Club that I adored Bishop, and loved Nate but Brantley is where my heart lies. From the moment we started getting more parts of Brantley's story I was hooked on everything that was him. Yes, he was by far the hottest one of them all, but it was everything that was him. I knew that when we finally got to his story and we met Saint that was when everything was going to change. We were going to see a side to Brantley we hadn't seen before and I was NOT disappointed.

Brantley might be the give no f*ucks type of guy with a murder streak a mile long, but he has one soft spot and that is Saint. The girl he rescued at 2 years old from a terrible future and from that moment on Brantley did everything that he could do to keep her safe. From keeping her away from his father, to keeping her in his house away from his life and all that entails. As circumstances change and secrets are revealed Saint is no longer the secret Brantley hoped to keep. Now 17 years old Saint is testing Brantley in a way that he won't be able to resist for much longer. Not only is Saint his biggest secret and the one person he will protect no matter what she is also Bishop and Tillie's sister. As Bishop's initiation ceremony gets closer to take over the King's everything Brantley believes he knew could end up being the thing that takes him lower than he has ever been.

Saint might only be 17 years old but from growing up the way she did she is smarter than most people twice her age. Book smart that is, as far as real-life experience and social skills she is practically still a kid. When Saint decides to reveal herself to the Kings as well as Tillie, she is in for more than she bargained for with them, especially Brantley. He might have been the one who saved her, but he is also the one person that could end up taking her right down to hell with him.

Brantley and Saint were so immersed with another practically from the start of this book that in my opinion it explained so much about Brantley's moods in the previous books. He wanted the one person he knew he should never have but what Brantley wants Brantley will take. As with the previous books the secrets and lies where in no short supply and the biggest secret of them all I feel like we literally just learned about. I devoured this serious in less than two weeks because every time I thought I could move on from it I would become so obsessed with The Elite Kings.

Obviously, I am on the edge of my seat waiting to see when Sancte Diaboli: Part Two will come out but until then I will catch up on all the other books that Amo Jones has written. Her stories always pull you in and don't let you go until the very last page and even then, you can't help but think of everything you just read.

Side note.... don't read this if you don't want my opinion and maybe a spoiler or two about the dirtier side of Brantley

Amo Jones...the Queen of sins and secrets...

The EKC series is without a doubt my favorite series. It was my first introduction to Amo Jones and will always hold a special place in my heart. I am beyond thrilled that the EKC series has continued and we got more of the group I have come to hold so dear.

Once again, Amo has completely obliterated every thought, guess, or hope I had...and exceeded them beyond all reason. She is the motherf**king Dark Queen. There is no doubt about that. Saint and Brantley’s book is the sinfully twisted goodness I have come to love from Amo. Just when you think one thing is going to happen she blows it to smithereens and replaces it with something so much better.

Saint may initially come off as weak and timid, but make so mistake this woman is as strong as they come, wrapped in an inconspicuous package. She can take anything thrown her way and can tame the darkness in her Dark Kings soul.

“He forgets that I know him though. Not just his corpse, but the soul he hides beneath it.”

What can I possibly say that can truly covey the dark depth that is Brantley. He is an intimidating force to be reckoned with. And despite is tough exterior and supposed depravity, he feels and cares for Saint. Almost like his soul is tethered to hers.

There are so many twists and turns, lies and secrets, bonds and loyalty weaved throughout this brilliant creation from Amo Jones. I truly cannot wait to see what comes next!

I don’t know how you do it Amo Jones but you always manage to hit it out of the part.
A little slow start for me but once you get into it..oh lord!!!!!!
We all knew Brantley aka Bran Bran was going to be 🔥 The Dark King indeed but damn… his possessiveness made me swoon.
Saint…I love her! Such a easy character to fall in love with… Saint and Bran Bran together? HOLY BOOK LORD!!!!!!! There is not denying that there was an invisible bond that knitted these two souls together.

This series always leaves me feeling emotionally drained and Sancte Diaboli was no different.
Sancte Diaboli is a dark romance through and through..it’s dark, gritty, and dirty.
And that cliffhanger though!!!!!!!!

Our dark queen has brought the Kings back in full force. Amo Jones slays me every time with the worlds she creates.

Sancte Diaboli: Pt I is 3D, dark, daring, and delicious! Everything you may think that will come with this book does and so much more. The twists and turns that give you constant whiplash is a welcoming pain. Not only are questions answered from previous books, but of course you are lead to more questions for this series. So many great moments in this book, I'm already wanting to reread it.

The relationship between Brantley and Saint is unique. She is the light to his darkness. They couldn't be more opposite, but they are the two final pieces needed in the puzzle with a perfect match to each other. Them together are steamy AF! Brantley is all the darkness. Everything we know about him is exactly how he acts and describes him to a T. The devil without a soul. Saint is such a breath of fresh air. She is simple and understanding. She has been hidden from this world but seems to come into it easily. I always love seeing the dynamic of the other Kings with their girls and how they all interact together. My favorite for this book was definitely the relationship between Saint and Bishop. I feel like you get to see such a hidden side of B through this book that I'm so glad he has Saint. She is his sounding board. These are some of my favorite characters to read about.

This book does end on a cliffhanger so if you aren't one for those, wait until all 3 parts are released. If you're like me and can't wait, then dive in! Be open minded because this is dirty and dark, but don't be afraid this is still so fascinating that you will crave it all by the end.

This book was so amazing and its only part one of three! I can only imagine what is to come, there is bound to be more craziness! If you are as involved in this world as I am definitely continue reading this series with this book. You won't regret a second of it!

I'm not even gonna lie... I'm not sure how to review this because I just want to talk about all the fucking things and I can't! To me, this is the best book in the series so far. Besides that fucking cliffy, but we will get to that later.

Brantley and Saint. Finally! It feels like we have been waiting forever for our dark king and he has arrived. I had high expectations for this book and Amo didn't disappoint. She may have even exceeded them, I'm not sure, because my mind is still fucked from finishing this book.

From the first chapter, it just felt like coming home. I love getting lost in this world and its complex characters, and here we have a new character, Saint. It's impossible not to love her. She is sweet, friendly and strong in her own way. Let's face it, you have to be to survive around these boys. I loved watching her evolve as the book progressed, a lil sass to Bran here and there and her relationship and connection with Bishop was so good and exactly what he needs.

Now to Brantley... Oh boy. I think I'm in love. Yes, I'm aware he is a fictional character but let me live my life okay? The way he has protected Saint from the get go... Fucking swoon. His possessive side, another tick. His dark, broody, soulless nature, tick, tick, tick. The kink, the sex, the blood play... TICK!!!!!

I read through this book so freaking fast, even though I wanted to read it slow and make it last, but you know, impossible, not happening. And the ending guys, the fucking ending! This is where you sit there, staring aimlessly at the ceiling wondering what the fck just happened! Oh that's right, you finished an Amo Jones book!

Thank god I had my girls to discuss this with because all of our theories mixed together are insane!

Bring on part 2!

*arc provided for an honest review*

I have been waiting for Brantley’s book for the longest, especially since Saint was mentioned at the end of the previous book. It’s finally here and I still can’t wrap my head around everything that was revealed in this first part.

Sancte Diaboli is the first part of Brantley and Saint’s story and I really enjoyed finally having these two character’s pov. A lot more secrets are revealed in this book and how it affects them along the way. To be able to finally read the thoughts going on in Brantley’s head was mind blowing because there’s a lot more to his character than what was mentioned in the previous books of the series. Saint’s character is absolutely everything. She really did surprise me and I loved getting to know more about her throughout the pages. The more I read, the more I got to know about her personality and the emotions she keeps within.

Brantley and Saint’s chemistry was amazing. Both might seem different on the outside, but the feelings they carry mend so well together, just like their souls. It’s like individually they’re different but together they’re simply stronger. I can’t wait to read how it transitions into the second part of their story!
