Knight is the fourth book in the Reed Security Series and should be read in order.

The hairs on the back of my neck stood up and I stiffened. He was here. I stood and looked around the room, but I didn’t see anything. Walking over to the window, I looked out into the dark, hoping that I could see something. I would rather know exactly where he was than wonder the whole night if he was going to come for me.
Hot air trickled across the back of my neck. My breath hitched as I felt a hand brush against the nape of my neck as my hair was shifted over my shoulder.
“You should be more careful when you’re leaving work.”
His voice washed over me in that rough, deep tone that sent shivers down my spine.
“Why did you do that?” I asked, my heart beating out of control.
“He was hurting you.”
“I was running away. I would have gotten away.”
His hand brushed down my arm and then back up to rest on my shoulder. “He might have come back another night. A man like that, someone who would attack a woman just to get a fix, he doesn’t deserve to live.”
“That’s not your decision to make,” I said shakily.
“I made it my decision the moment he put his hands on you, and I’d do it again.”
I spun around and faced the man that I had last seen just a week ago. “I don’t need anyone killing to protect me. I heal people and that man could have been helped.”
“That man was scum and if he went after you, he would go after someone else. He didn’t deserve to live.”
“Like you?”
He took a step back and his jaw tightened. “I repaid my debt. You won’t see me again.”
“I didn’t want to see you again to begin with.”
He backed out of my room and was gone. I had no idea how he got in or how he left. He moved so silently that I didn’t hear even my noisy stairs creak. Even though the man had just killed someone in front of me, I couldn’t help but still want to see him again, no matter what I said. He intrigued me and terrified me all at the same time. I turned back to the window and stared out into the night, wondering if I would see him again.

He’s no white Knight
Hudson McGuire- Ex-Marine and good friend of Hunter “Pappy” Papacosta.
Garrick Knight- Badass assassin on a crusade to rid the world of those he deems unworthy.
Both men are lethal. Both men are obsessed with Kate Whittemore. Both men are the same man, but only one can convince Kate that he’s the man for her.

Knight
I was dishonorably discharged from the military after I killed my superiors. They were profiting off soldier’s
deaths and I wouldn’t stand for it. They were righteous kills and I stand by what I did. I was sentenced to prison,
but Pappy made sure I never saw the inside of a prison cell. Ever since then, I’ve been working as a gun for hire,
taking on any job that rids the world of the scum of the earth. Then I met up with Pappy again and all my plans
went to shit. I found myself working for the good guys once again and ended up in the hands of an angel.

Kate
I’m a doctor and I own my own practice in town. I never wanted to be a part of the crazy schedules of the hospital
and wanted to have a personal connection with my patients. That started to change a little when my cousin,
Cole called me to take care of a woman he found in the woods.

Knight Stalker!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: ❤️💜💙💚💛
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📙📕📗📘📙
World building: 🌎🌏🌍🌎🌎
Character development: 😟😣🙃🙂🥰

The heroine: Kate Whittemore - Kate is Cole’s cousin and a doctor. She is called in to help after Knight is shot in the side on the mission to kill an arms dealer. She has felt his eyes on her ever since then.

The Hero(es): Garrick Knight (a.k.a. Knight, a.k.a. Hudson McGuire) - While in the military, he murdered three of his superiors for profiting from the death of the people that served under them. He was sentenced to life in Leavenworth prison but a few of his friends broke him out during transfer and he changed his identity and has been an assassin ever since.

The Story: Knight is great as the dangerous killer who stalks his prey. The way he stalks Kate is fascinating and he has no qualms about killing anyone who is a danger to her. Knight is the ultimate bad boy who is the best at what he does and he is a dangerous killer to be certain.

He is scary, great looking and has an obsession for Kate. Though Kate wants a normal relationship. She has dedicated her life to being a healer and saving people while Knight is out there killing people. It helps that Knight has a moral code about his kills. He only kills people who deserve it. He is like the Dexter of assassins. Which I totally love.

If you like romance books about stalkers, you will love this one. Knight makes an awesome possessive stalker who you can’t help but be intrigued by.

I love this book. I picked it up through KU and as soon as I returned it, I purchased books 4 to 6 (Knight is book 4) in a bundled deal as I knew I’d be rereading this one again.

I first “met” Knight in a book from a different though connected series. Though his time on page was short, he stood out for me and I began reading the Reed Security series to get to his book. He’s very much a grey, antihero type hero and I love that hero trope. He was in the army when he discovered his superiors were sending his fellow team members to their deaths in order to make themselves lots of money. Knight takes care of them - kills them - and his fate is sealed and he becomes an assassin, a very good one. In his defence, it’s scum he takes as his targets.

This comes out in the previous book. He ends up working with Reed Security and is injured quite seriously. They take him to Kate for help. Kate is a doctor with military connections who treats the guys injured on the job as a lot of times hospitals aren’t a place they can go. So now we start Knight.

When he comes to, he is gobsmacked by Kate and becomes so besotted with her, he begins stalking her in order to keep her safe. He will do anything to protect her. On her part, Kate is equally strongly drawn to this guy and repelled by what he does. She’s a doctor whose job it is to take care of people and his is to kill people. How can there possibly be anything between them?

Both Knight and Kate are larger than life characters, Knight the more so. There were a number of amusing scenes as this big bad killer who has never known love and holds to his own brand of honour, has no idea how to interact with Kate and is often asking his only friend for advice. It’s kind of charming in a strange way. I found it powerfully emotional and towards the end I had some serious tears developing as I was reading.

This series and this book in particular gets a hearty recommendation from me. I’m finding them very addictive and hard to put down.

The heroine is a self righteous bitch. And the author needs to learn about ellipses. **Three** dots, not two, and four dots if at the end of a sentence.

Since the moment that I read the name of this new character in the previous book I knew that I needed more. I was intrigued, curious and you know that's not a good mix. Lol.
I've been reading Giulia's books for not that long but it was enough to make me addicted.
If you have read any of my reviews for this author you know that I have an advice to give you.
Before you start this new book I advise you to start from the beginning. Read For The Love of a Good Woman series first and then start Reed Security series. The first series isn't mandatory but it's a good start. But Reed Security series is imperative that you read first. Read Sinner, Cap, Cazzo and then this one. Go for it.
Knight is the fourth book from this series and tells the stories of Knight and Kate.
Knight is a ex-military that was discharged from the service after killing his supervisors. It didn't matter that he had valid reasons for the crimes but after being sentenced to a life in jail he bailed with the help of Pappy. After that day his life changed...
Kate is a doctor that loves her job. She wants to be free to help any patient and not being stuck into a room. After one call from her cousin she couldn't imagine the turn her life was about to get...
Stunned doesn't even cover the way I was feeling when this book ended... This series will be the death of me... So many demotions on the run...
Perfect plot, fantastic writing, super detailed, engaging and intense. Each chapter was stronger and additive than the previous and I couldn't put it down even if I wanted it.
Once I started to read it I was hell hostage of all the stuff that was happening.
Love, friendship, loyalty are very present in this book as well as betrayal, crime, drama and danger.
There were some few chapters that I wanted to slap someone. Dayum... These two take stubbornness to a next level.
And girls... Hot scenes are there as well... Jeez... Hot.
Giulia I hated you for a sec there but now you're safe... This series is getting better by the chapter and I can't wait to start the next book.

Another great addition to the Reed Security Series. Kate is a doctor who helps out Reed Security on occasion and happens to help remove a bullet from Knight. Knight is ex military now turned assassin and when he wakes after being shot he’s completely taken by Kate. The connection between the two is instant. Knight takes it upon himself to watch over Kate and keep her safe. Knight and Kate were perfect together. A truly amazing story filled with suspense, drama, angst, and intense chemistry. I highly recommend adding this book to your TBR!

Let me start off by saying I didn't follow the author's advice in the blurb and this book was the first that I have read in the series. Am I sorry? Probably. But that said, I will say that this book can be read as a standalone so there's that.

When Knight wakes after being shot, the first thing he sees is Kate. He becomes obsessed with her and starts stalking her with the belief that he is doing it to keep her safe Eventually he can't ignore his feelings and makes his move. This leads to the wrong people noticing and puts Kate's life in danger because not only is he an assassin, but he is also on the run from the government.

I did enjoy the book although I felt that the heroine (Kate) was a bit clueless at a stage when she just accepted that she would only see the hero (Knight) when and if he could be around. The fact that she also accepted this knowing he couldn't make a real commitment to her? That didn't earn her any more brownie points from me. I enjoy it more when the woman is tough and stands up for herself. But this was a good read nonetheless.

Written from a dual pov, this is a reasonably fast burn contemporary romance and ends with a hea.

So...I am a first time reader for reed Security series and for some unknown reason I started with this book...But this was soo amazing. It can be read as a standalone but I am gonna go back to read more of the book of the men from Reed Security.
Knight is a ghost in this world..with no solid identity... basically an apparition. He has been injured multiple times, but never in a million years, he would have thought of seeing an angel-like women treating him when he comes to his senses. He becomes obsessed with her and tried to stalking her.
The chemistry between was my kindle burning worthy.
Kate is a nurse who has some serious trust issues. When she comes to know the truth she wants nothing to do with knight. But knight being knight burns down all the walls she had built up for forever and buried himself in her soul.
I just want to say that now Kate or Knight have an easy life...The author put them through hell but it was all worth it in the end.

Anticipation for reading Knight's book almost made me giddy! This guy is like the good bogeyman and the definition of a vigilante. Let me tell you that his story DID NOT disappoint. Holy hotness is this guy intense and I loved his relationship with Kate. When she found out what he truly was, she reacted in a normal and reasonable way and man was their chemistry just SUPER HOT! All in all this was a great book about getting below the layers of Knight and knowing Kate better and how they work together. I dug it and give it 4.5 outta 5 stars!!

PS: I received a free copy of the book in return for my honest feedback.

This story has a little bit of everything to make it a magical tale, with action and danger, lies and deceit, loss, and pain, with a host of characters. The book was well written, and you get lost amongst the adventure, the sorrow, the helplessness. The love of a good woman may just the thing to turn a bad man good. But does he deserve redemption? Dark and dangerous but oh so sexy. It is rife with angst and fear, violence and danger, darkness, and secrets, and lies. The complex threads that Giulia weaves her stories, and her characters keeps you coming back for more. You will be riveted to the pages and find that hours have passed by the time you manage to pull yourself away.

Couldn’t finish it, made it about 60% and gave up

I hardly ever leave a book unfinished as it always ends up bugging me as I have to know what happens but this was just not good, I didn’t really like either character, both were one dimensional and annoying, it wasn’t particularly hot or suspenseful or romantic either…… definitely not for me

Knight is the fourth book in Giulia's Reed Security series and it is definitely one of the most interesting. When I read about Knight in one of the previous books I was curious if he would ever get his own story and Giulia did not disappoint. This story is full of gut-wrenching suspense with heartbreak and love thrown in. In this stranger to lovers suspense-filled romance, we find Knight injured and Kate, a Dr. that does some medical work for Reed Security, meeting and having a strange and interesting connection.

Kate is a doctor that has her own clinic but also does work for Reed Security. She loves her freedom but when she receives a call from Reed Security her world takes a turn from what she is used to. When she is asked to remove a bullet from Knight she didn't expect to be face to face with an assassin. One night Kate is leaving her clinic and is attacked by a stranger but to her surprise, the attacker is killed but the killer is nowhere to be found. Later that night she gets a visit from the man she saved a while back, Knight. She is discussed by the ease he killed her attacker and feels no remorse. He disappears again and she wonders if she will see him again. As time goes by he does show up but causes so much distraught for Kate but at the same time, Kate finds that she is attracted to him. Can she get over the fact that he is an assassin, he kills for money? When he treats her like she is a queen, will that change her feeling towards him? When he keeps coming and going without any care in the world, will Kate start to feel that he doesn't care about her but is just looking for a good time when he is in town? When her life is in danger, what will Knight and Kate do? When tragedy strikes, will Kate accept her fate or not?

Knight is an ex-military man who is a hired killer. He feels that what he does is ok because he is riding the world of the evil and scum of the earth. When his life is saved by Kate and Reed Security he tells her that she should just let him die. He is not a person that should be saved. When she does not listen and takes care of him, he wants to repay the favour. Knight begins to stalk Kate, is it because he wants to repay her for what she did or is it because he is drawn to her? While he is stalking her they get close but he tells her that because of what he does he cannot stay in one place too long but he wants to be with her. Can he convince her to give him a shot realizing that he will leave at the drop of a hat? When he discovers that his life is in danger what will he do? Can he keep away from Kate? Will this break her heart? When both of their lives are in danger what will they do?

Giulia has you sitting on the edge of your seat while you also are shedding a few tears. I loved the chemistry and the hate-to-love relationship between Knight and Kate. The heartbreak that Kate goes through and the way that Knight does truly love her, in his own way, makes this story a must-read. For Kate to see the man under the armour of Knight was incredible. He is a man that you want to hate but deep down you do love him.
I highly recommend that you read this series in order. You will miss out on a lot of the character mindset and the storyline does carry over throughout the books.

If you’ve read the previous books in the series, it’s likely that Knight caught your attention and you’ve been wanting to know more about him. Knight is a standout character in this series, he’s unlike anyone we’ve met so far and unlike anyone we will meet going forward. His history and persona make for a character who both intrigues and terrifies Kate and maybe the reader as well.

I think a good way to describe Knight and Kate is a man living in the dark finding his guiding light. Knight has this aura of danger around him, he lacks trust in others and is the antithesis of everything that Kate believes and has dedicated her life to. Kate however, is a genuinely good person, she trusts, cares, and isn’t someone that Knight ever saw stepping into his life. Kate becomes his angel, the one person who could save his wretched soul.

The book focuses mainly on their attraction to each other as they try to navigate what these feelings mean and what appears to be the only way they’ll ever be together. They’re both left questioning their own morals and their self in completely different ways but are struggling just the same. The attraction is quick for Knight, overnight he seemingly becomes fixated on watching out for and protecting Kate, and he does so in a way that is unlike anything any other of the men of Reed Security would. Slowly we start to see subtle changes in Knight as he begins to want more from life and to be someone worthy of Kate, something which takes both characters by surprise. These two characters have an instant connection and it is interesting to see it unfold. The action is slower paced than in the previous books but once it starts it escalates quickly into a series of events that will have you so focused on the book you don’t realise how much time has passed.

Knight and Kate’s interactions with the secondary characters give them more depth. Especially when it comes to Knight, his interactions and history with Hunter has fascinated me since we first learnt a little about them but their friendship makes for some great scenes in the book and gives Knight more life.

The beginning of their relationship grabbed my attention as I couldn’t wait to see how it would unfold. As I got further into the book, I was willing for them to finally get together and sort everything out. We go through a bigger time jump than in the first 3 books and it fits with the narrative so well, you’ll come out on the other side loving what happens next. I know what life is like for these two characters going forward and I cannot wait to read it all again. As always I 100% recommend any of the books in the series.

Let’s talk about the man that is Knight! I have needed his book since he was first introduced in Cazzo. He’s the mysterious black sheep that was way more than what met the eye.

Knight was dishonorably discharged from the military for killing his superior. His reasoning behind it were honorable but it doesn’t change what he did. He was sentenced to life in jail but Hunter helped him and his life was never the same. Kate is an amazing doctor and the perfect addition to the women of Reed Security.

I love Knight! He is the alpha, possessive hero I love. After Knight is shot he wakes up and the first thing he he’s is Kate, and it’s almost like an instant obsession. These two were like two magnets, they just couldn’t escape the pull they had towards each other. Knight wanted to stay away to keep her safe. Kate had her cousin telling her she could do better and he just wanted to sleep with her. She was sure she would end up broken hearted. But what she didn’t realize is his feelings for her. Knight is shown a folder with pictures of him in the past and Kate now, it takes Hunter to make him realize what is happening around him. Knight basically sealed Kate’s fate and will have to be her hero.

Knight is everything that a Reed Security book should be. It’s filled with the perfect balance of laugh out loud moments, steaminess, and action to keep me turning page after page. When Lagimarsino writes a Reed Security book she doesn’t just give us the main characters she always gives us all the members of Reed Security we love.

Knight is another 5 star addicting book from Giulia Lagomarsino. Her writing is fantastic. The characters like always are fabulous and perfect. And Kate and Knight will always have a special place in my heart. Knight had just been through so much and still someone was able to find his happy. He’s also the perfect example of not everyone is what they seem. Sometimes when you peel those layers back you get this incredible person.

My fav so far!

Be prepared for some spoilers. So I enjoyed the 1st book, the 2nd was ok, and the 3rd went downhill fast for me. But this one? It's redeemed the series! I only hope the rest are as good.

Something about Knight and Kate that won me over. Complete opposites - a doctor and an assassin - coming together with chemistry up the ying-yang! I loved that they were so aware of each other even when she couldn't see him and even after he was gone.

Now, that part was a bit far fetched seeing as how Kate and Hunter left him, I'm not sure how Sebastian and crew got in and got Knight undetected by the other two. But that's besides the point. The story was good and the wrap up of his old life and alter ego was well done and actually thought out. So it was nice to have that closure and bringing them together for good. Yeah... I'm talking to you book one where you ended with a lollipop "marry me someday" message and no real closure! (Yes, I'm holding a grudge on that one).

This book was a perfect combination of love, vengeance, passion, and redemption. And his new name really was the perfect combination of old and older brought together for his new life with Kate.

One complaint for book 3 was they didn't have a cast of characters like the first two... And I was pleasantly surprised this one had it! (The back and forth with the names still throws me off). And then I was annoyed because it had all the kids and relationships listed too... Um. None of them exist yet except like one! Sigh. Getting ahead of yourself there, Giulia.

But anyway, definitely a good read that kept me interested and wondering what chaos would happen next.

I see the next book is for Irish. And honestly, I couldn't remember who that was at all... Read the excerpt. It's Derek! I don't think they called him Irish in this book at all, did they?! The dual names is getting old.

We'll see what Derek's story holds next.

Knight had been shot before, but it was the first time he woke to an angel, Kate, was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen, but knew he would never be able to have a woman like her and vowed never to kill again, until he saw Kate attacked. Kate didn’t want him, she could sense when he was near, they had a weird connection, but she didn’t want him, so he decided to take another job.
Knight tries everything to get Kate out of his mind, but it wasn’t enough.
Knight turns up injured at her clinic she knows he’s going to take a while to recover, and when Hunter begs her to let him stay with her, she knows there’s no other choice, a small part of her likes the idea, he’s smouldering gaze sets her on fire.
While they reach a seemingly compromise, after a job, he hears Kate’s voice telling him not to darken his soul more, and he tries to be a better man for her. Kate’s cousin tells her she deserves more he could be doing anything while he’s away and he’s only using her to keep his bed warm, Kate was sure that what she had with Garrick would only end in her heart broken.
When Garrick gets shown a folder filled with his past and pictures of Kate, Hunter makes him realise someone is stalking Kate, when Kate doesn’t agree to go away for a while, Garrick knows he has to figure out who it is and then let her live her life and walk away.

I was super excited to read Knight's story because he always seemed like the dark horse of Reed Security, and it was totally worth it, though he made me mad more than once. Of course, he was going to because he was a tortured soul who had quite the past, so nothing was going to be easy with him, and since he fell for a very good girl, things were going to be extremely complicated. See, he woke up after being shot to the most beautiful woman he had ever see, Dr. Kate Whittemore. She didn't do dark & twisty, as she just wanted to help people, and didn't really understand what he did. But she did feel the connection they had, especially since he basically stalked her, though she didn't want him to, or did she. They started hooking up, though they kept it on the down low, and he started opening up to her as much as he did anyone, and she started catching feelings. And that's all that I'm going to give away. I will say that this story had a ton of depth, as Knight's story was a doozie, as the reason he was trying to be a ghost was something big. It made for some serious twists, more twists than I ever saw coming, so in between my f-bombs, and yes, so many emotions, which the diabolical Giulia Lagomarsino is so good at pulling out, I was a straight up mess. There's the cast of secondaries making appearances who only add more to the story, whether it be more testosterone, or some humor. Once again, I'm in love with those men of Reed Security, and HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I received an ARC of this book for an honest review. I have loved this series and Knight simply does not disappoint. Knight was firmly on his life path, a hard & cold & lonely path which was a result of a past decision that Knight was strong enough to make even though he knew it would raze his future. And then after years of existing, he encounters the only thing that would penetrate his shell, something he never expected, planned for or wanted: a companion for his life.
As Knight & Kate play a chess game with their emotions, rationalizations and potential relationship, their hearts (and Knight's soul perhaps) are on the board. Their back and forth is fascinating, understandable and at times absolutely heartbreaking.
I found the plot, both the romance and suspense elements entertaining and there were no parts I wanted to skim over.
I found Knight's character both chilling, sexy and sympathetic, while Kate overall was reasonable, fair, strong and brave enough to handle Knight.
Hunter (Pappy) plays frequently in this novel and he is a true friend and brother to Knight, caring and loyal. Cole appears several times to help and support his cousin Kate. Sean pops up once or twice too and little bits with Cap too.
I really enjoyed this story, it had suspense, romance, heartbreaking elements and dashes of humor that broke the tension.
A wonderful and worthy addition to the series!

Kate Whittemore is all about helping people. Garrick Knight may act tough but when it comes to a certain woman he’s just an old softy. He proudly served his country and it prepared him for his current job. There’s a secondary character nicknamed Pappy and you are going to love him. There’s the perfect scene that brings out his snarky side and it will have you laughing at Knight’s expense.

I have to tell you that this story was very addicting. I had a vacation day and yard plans. I starting reading this until the clock told me it was time to get off my butt and get outside. No problem right? Wrong. Came in to take a break and have some lunch and decided I wanted to catch up on our main characters. This time however the clock didn’t work. I kept telling myself “one more paragraph” until I had to cut myself off. Even then, every chance I got I was back into my e-reader seeing how far I could get until I’d have to force myself to get some work done.

You may be like me and this is your first book by Ms. Lagomarsino. It may also be your first book in the Reed Security series and that’s fine because this holds up well as a standalone. Garrick and Kate’s story may have you looking forward to more – it certainly did that for me. The author’s next book Irish comes out in a few weeks and I can’t wait.

I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

Title: Knight (Reed Security, #4)
Author: Giulia Lagomarsino
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Rating: 5/5

ARC received in return for an honest review.

Ooohh this book really captured my attention from the beginning. Kate’s a Doctor who finds herself looking after Knight, the hot, sexy, mysterious alpha who’s injured and needing treatment but circumstances prevent him from going to a hospital, Kate’s worked alongside the men of Reed Security before so it’s normal for her to be called upon from time to time however she’s never been quite as enamoured with a man as she is with Knight before and the feeling is mutual. Knight is captivated with the beautiful woman who’s tended to his wounds, she’s stirred up feelings within him he’s never felt before when it’s came to a woman and he doesn’t quite know how to handle them, he considers himself a bad man who’s not worthy of her, you see Knight is an assassin.

With enemies after Knight and now Kate because of her association with him, can he keep her safe whilst turning his life around at the same time in order to become worthy of Kate’s love or will the need to quench his thirst for a kill be the number one priority in his life?

With a likeable, strong heroine and a hero who can be my knight in shining armour anyday this was a brilliantly written, thrilling read which kept me on the edge of my seat. I can’t recommend this book enough, five well deserved stars out of five.

Knight & Kate

Intense! Yes, the entire book is intense. Knight wakes up to the face of an angel. Something he never thought would happen and didn't deserve. Even though he didn't know her he wanted her and set about getting her. No Knight in shining armor, he is an assassin. He feels justified in all his hits since they are all scum of the earth.

Kate is a doctor who helps Reed Security out when their medics can't do the job. She's used to treating gun and knife wounds and all is fine until she finds out who he really is. Walking away doesn't change his pursuit. Saying she doesn't want him around doesn't stop him. One night when she is leaving her clinic, she is attacked and Knight saves the day--kills the thief and it terrorizes Kate.

She doesn't want a man like that so why can't she get him out of her mind and why does she still feel him near? Because he is near. Falling for him is dangerous and not good for her future. She can't have a normal relationship. But can she resist this intense man?

Another good Reed Security story but don't expect any comic relief in this one. Don't expect to put it down either. Steamy, emotional with lots of Reed Characters to enjoy.

Knight is the ultimate dark sexy moody drop dead panty wetting moody male, who doesn't do relationships...…. oh and he's also a Assassin..
Kate who is asked to look after knight after he is injured is intrigued with this mysterious hunk, until she find out that he's not a nice person, but that doesn't stop the attraction she feels. Knight is indebted to Kate for helping him recover and has some strong feelings for her that he can't understand as he's always just used a woman for just one night, but he wants more from Kate. Problem is Knights a wanted man and now he's enemies have made Kate their number one target, can Knight keep her safe but can he also change he's life around and have a normal one with Kate or is the pull of the kill more important to him....I loved this book and am loving the characters that follow the series through. This is a thriller / romance with some quirky bits, especially from the strong women!!!!! A real edge of your seat page turner.

Giulia has done it again. This is the 4th book in the Reed Security Romance series and each story about the men who work for and with Reed Security just keep getting better and better. Garrick Knight, aka Hudson McGuire, is a man on the run and an assasin. His reputation precedes him as a deadly and dangerous man. In the previous story he turned on his employer and took out the villainous man but was injured I the process. He is brought to Reed Security for treatment by Dr. Kate Whittmore, because if he was taken to a hospital he would be arrested or worse. When he wakes up he sees an "angel" taking care of him. He wants her, but with his profession he can't get close to anyone, he doesn't want anyone being drawn into his life. Only he can't stay away from her and watches over her and protects her. fate This story takes you on a journey of humor, drama, suspense, angst, death and emotional heartbreak. A MUST READ as are all the books in this series.

This book is the 4th in the Reed Security Series and can be read on its own, but many characters resurface from earlier books, and will show up in later books in the series. This book is about Kate, a clinic doctor who helps Reed Security on occasion and helps take a bullet out of an assassin named Garrick Knight. They fall in love but Kate has a LOT of hesitations about his career killing people, and Knight has a lot of questions about whether he can ever be worthy of her love. There are great sex scenes, but Kate becomes a target for those bad guys who want revenge on him, all connected to his past life in the army. He must protect Kate but it is so difficult for her to allow him to be near her. How can they possibly have an HEA? I highly recommend this book and the others in the series, each worth its purchase price!

Another great read from the Reed Security series. This one, in particular, is dark and gritty and I couldn’t put it down. This story is about Knight and Kate. Kate is a doctor and Knight is an ex-marine. After being shot he wakes in her clinic and feels completely taken by her and her beauty. He knew how she felt about killing and he vows to never kill again but then he witnesses Kate being attacked. Kate and Knight have a sizzling connection and she seems to know when he is near but she turns him down so he takes another job and tries everything to get Kate out of his mind, but he can’t. Knight turns up injured at her clinic she knows he’s going to take a while to recover, and when Hunter begs her to let him stay with her, she knows there’s no other choice, and it’s time for her to be honest with her true feelings for him.

A fabulous anti-hero
Excellent romance between Kate, a doctor who lives to save people and Knight, a former military man who has become an assassin, and who is the best in his category. He only kills those whom the justice could not stop (a little like Dexter, in less serial killer style).
I loved how these two characters seek to accept what is happening to them because the two do not understand each other by their way of seeing life, yet they can not do without each other. But what Knight wanted to avoid happens, and his past comes back to him, endangering everyone's life.
The parts that lead Kate to accept her feelings despite her initial disgusted reactions are extremely well described and convince her that sometimes killing is a solution, which is very creepy.
There is a lot of action, twists and some sex scenes, all with a very moving story.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

When Knight is shot helping Reed Security they bring in Dr Kate Whittemore to patch him up.
When Knight finds his employer has lied and the target he has been given is an innocent he helps Reed Security bring him down but in the process he get shot. Dr Kate Whittemore is called in ti patch him up and he is surprised to wake up with a beautiful woman leaning over him. He knows he should leave her alone but he becomes obsessed with the and watches over her at home and at work. He shoots a man trying to get drugs from her office to protect her but then he is shot again on a job and turns up at her office door. Both feel the attraction but are unable to resist but then Hunter turns up and shows Knight a folder someone has put together showing picture of him and then pictures of Kate connecting her to him thus putting her in danger. A intriguing romance to relax and enjoy.

Knight is my favorite in the Reed Security Series so far. My heart broke, and I may have wanted to punch Knight in the junk at least once or twice.... Knight is basically a ghost in his world. He gets acquainted with Kate after being injured. He is a man of few words and has never really felt like he could find love. Kate finds out just who and what he is and decides she wants nothing to do with him. Knight being Knight does not give up easily and breaks her walls down. Once those walls are broke down there is no stopping him. Now with this being said if you have read any of the previous books then you now it is never easy for the men of Reed Security. I won't go into great detail, but my heart broke along with Kate's. When she cried I think I cried. There was so much emotion written into this book that you just feel what the characters feel. I highly recommend Knight so far he is my favorite.....

The story has laughs, pain, secrets, suspense, danger, and heartbreak.

If you have not read the below, I would recommend reading those books(s) first
Sinner (A Reed Security, #1)
Cap (Reed Security, #2)
Cazzo (Reed Security, #3)

This is Kate and Knight’s story. Knight is obsessed with Kate. He will kill to keep her safe. But his soul is dark, and she is light. Can he make her see that she brightens up his life when he is around her? The more time she spends with him the more she wants him, but they live such different lives. Can she really want a future with him? What happens when danger comes around? Will they make it out alive? Will they be able to build a future, or will she lose him to his job of danger?

I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read. Very emotional story that will have several triggers for some. But all and all it was a great story.

I highly recommend this book.

Oh my God this Book 4 in the series is one I never saw coming and WOWZA. Garrick Knight is not your typical Reed Security guy but one that fits perfectly in his own way. The thing is Garrick is not Garrick but a killer in every way. There were times where I was like what is happening and then Knight does something that makes sense in his own way. Now Kate there were times where I was like come on Kate get with the program. These two are so opposite of each other yet they complete each other. I loved that Giulia Lagomarsino didn't make Knight just bow done after rejection but determined to get a life he dreamed of happening one day. The passion he has for Kate is above anything she has ever gone through scaring and exciting her. By far this is my favorite bodyguard and excited there's more in this series coming. Loved it.
