Three dominant dragon alphas who seemingly have it all... except the one thing they want: me.

My life hasn’t been typical. All I remember is waking up in an alley when I was ten, scrounging for scraps to survive until I was taken to the Bronzeheart estate.

That’s where my life began, where I’ve lived for the past eight years with the ruling family, the Blitz Clan. It’s where I found my best friend Gage, the future leader of this clan.

At the time, I didn’t question my good fortune because I was happy to know I wasn’t alone in this world anymore. But maybe I should have.

After landing a shocking invite to the prestigious Dark Imaginarium Academy, I realized how much of a safe haven the estate was.

The students at this school are out for my blood because somehow I have the attention of not just one, but all three Storm Dragon Clan heirs: Gage Bronzeheart, Breaker Firespell, and Jagger Silvershade.

None of them should have an interest in me, seeing as I’m the only shifter at this academy who hasn’t, you know…shifted. They should want someone powerful at their side. But it doesn’t stop me from wanting them as well.

That is until I find out they’ve been hiding a life-changing secret from me. And now that I know…

Nothing will be the same.

Blitz is book 1 in the Storm Dragons’ Mate trilogy that features a slightly naive but sassy MFC, possessive dragon alphas, and a secret that will change everything. This is not a high school academy book and the contents are intended for mature audiences, with characters who are all 18+. This book includes violence and mature sexual content.

OMG, the female main character is so shallow, I can’t stand her. Just TSTL. It’s all about spending money from her adoptive (?) family, redoing her bathroom with diamond studded tiles, really, I don’t think it can get more shallow than that! She’s superficial and not worth me wasting time reading about when I hate her instantly. Now if she had been doing charity work to help other children or for medical treatments for other amnesia patients instead of wasting money on diamond studded tiles… It just doesn’t make sense. I really needed her to want answers that she just didn’t seem to care about or find out. There’s also no bridge from when she’s found in the alley as a child with amnesia (or a spell on her to force her to not have memories), to being accepted to the university, no knowledge for the reader to understand where she learns about the dragon shifters, or that the university is for shifters, to fill in the world building gaps. I felt totally lost.

At my age (60), life is way too short & my time is too important to force myself to read a book I'm not enjoying, especially when there are so many other books out there waiting to be read.

So close to a 4 but not quite.

Issue #1: Storyline is sluggish for me. For this to be a full length novel I would have hoped for more answers.

Issue #2: Bex. Very naive. She becomes to care for and capitulate to new men way to easily. Granted there is the fated mate aspect but can we get a name first.

Issue #3: One would think with 3 mates there would be….well mating. There isn’t. Completely PG

Silver lining the MCs are all spectacular. So I have high hopes book 2 will resolve many things for me.

Happy reading,
DD🥂

This book was the book my mood reader brain determined I would read and I'm very glad I did! It ended up being exactly what I wanted! Sassy but slightly naive heroine and heroes who would maim and kill for her. The world-building is slowly getting there. Her amnesia situation didn't get annoying as time passed (which it usually does for me). Overall, this was a great story! Fingers crossed the next books in this series continues to be as well ♡

Sorry, I just can't stand the heroine...
Maybe I'm too old for this series, since it really seems to target YA readers? But that doesn't generally bother me in other books, ...
She's just sooooo annoying. These 3 males in her life do everything they could possibly do to show her how they feel about her and even up until almost the last page she is like "they can't possibly love me"... It's ok in the beginning of a book or even up till the end if the behavior of the other characters in a book match that energy. But in this story that's just not the case.

I had to skim over large parts of her rumblings...
She's just a smidgen too sugar cute, too obsessed with clothes, too dumb and naive and needy and in denial despite the OBVIOUS actions of everyone around her. I just can't take it.The guys passages were much better, though.

I really enjoyed this one! It felt more refined than some more recent M Sinclair ones, with better editing and less internal monologues. The story felt like it just moved a little better for me.

I loved the guys, Gage especially. I can’t wait to see more of them. They’re over the top possessive, and I swooooon. I love how obsessed they are.

M’s fmcs are usually alright for me, she was a little too naive for me at times, and I’m not a huge fan of how she talked about having money and liking nice things. Idk, it annoyed me sometimes.

Really liked the basic premise of this though! Can’t wait to read more of the storm dragons.

This is one of those times where I kept reading it, hoping it would get better or something would happen and even ending the book part of me wants to continue onto book 2 because something HAS to happen after that ending.

It is a sweet story and I love how obsessed with her the dragons are, but also it is frustrating how they want to keep her naïve and locked away.

super disappointed

The story starts out great for about 3 pages and then very quickly goes down hill with a vain and shallow heroine. Also while i actually like harem lit this one does it poorly and the heroine even though vain and spoiled is treated as a trophy wife object who needs to take baths in diamonds to feel special.

I made it halfway through the book and nothing of any relevance happens.

The first few pages and the summary started out great but after that the book is filled with almost nothing but fluff and objectification of the vain heroine.

The cupcake and little treasure nicknames drove me crazy!!! They treated her like a 3 year old it was so annoying. They would not even let her pee by herself and she was annoying. I won’t keep reading

Doing a read of this book again and forgot how often this author loves to have the fmc nibble or chew her lip. FFS authors. Use it once or twice. Not EVERY SINGLE CHAPTER. In one chapter she used it three times.

Ugh.

Anyhoo. It’s a cute series. Not finished but is expected to be by month’s end.

DNF

Wherein our pretty pretty perfect heroine suffers from an insane lack of curiosity because the entire world panders to her although her personality is banal and also incredibly shallow.

She does nothing but look pretty. If anything happens, it happens to her and not as an action on her part. Milquetoast at best.

Blitz, the first book in the Storm Dragons’ Mate series by M. Sinclair and is absolutely fabulous! Sharing the same world as Dark Imaginarium Academy, we once again plunge deep into a well developed plot full of beautifully created characters that immediately draw you in.

Bexley, our sweet snd innocent FMC, has no memory of who she is or what has happened to her before being rescued from the streets by Gage, her now best friend, and his family at the age of ten. With no idea of who it what she is, having never shifted before, she has lived a sheltered yet pampered life amongst his family, who happen to be dragon shifters. When she receives notice that’s she’s been accepted into the Dark Imaginarium Academy so she’ll be able to join her bff Gage at school, she couldn’t be happier because there’s no denying their connection.

Then enters the other Storm Dragon clan heirs, Jagger and Breaker, and things get a bit more complicated and things start to heat up as there’s an unmistakable connection with them as well. With tons of secrets surrounding her mysterious past, lost memories, rediscovered abilities as well as their fated connection, Bex is determined to figure out what's going on.

I absolutely loved Bex and her trio of deliciously possessive men: Gage, Jagger and Breaker. Sinclair has once again created a masterpiece as this story literally draws you right in and doesn’t let you go, all the way to the end! With tons of secrets, a few twists and turns and all the chemistry and connection between Bex and each of her men this was definitely a captivating read and I can’t wait for more!

Overall if you love slow burn RH dragon shifting romances with sweet and sassy heroines, super possessive dragon alpha male and secrets that have the potential to change everything then this is the book for you! With some fun crossovers from the other DIA series and a great cliffhanger, this book is a definite must read for any DIA loving fans!

This book makes me want to start hoarding all the pretty books in this universe! This is the second book I've read so far, and I love both of them. Bex has been super sheltered for as long as she can remember, but she's no push-over despite her innocence. I can't wait to see where the next book takes her and her three hulking dragons. I'm off hunting the other books in the DIA universe while I wait for the next nugget of goodness from M. Sinclair.

I was surprised that I enjoyed this book as much as I did. I feel that the writing is fair and the world building is interesting. I wish I had a better understanding of the magic-system but this as the first in the series does lay down a decent foundation.

Bexley, the main character is suffering from memory loss, blackouts, and severe headaches, and therefore is unable to shift into her "animal-self". The entire book, she doesn't even truly discover what she is until the last few pages. I felt that she is way too naive of a character for me to relate to. She is also portrayed as incredibly helpless, which I found to be annoying.

Despite not liking the main character, I still kept coming back to the book, wanting to know what happens on the next page. The plot is building and the intrigue is growing. (02/2023)

The FMC is portrayed as this sheltered, clueless woman. The level of cluelessness is so unrealistic that it makes no sense. I know toddlers who are more socially aware than what she is. She constantly explains away any and all attention from the men in her harem. Constantly telling herself he doesn’t like like her it’s just a dragon quirk or it’s only because they are friends. This happens A LOT. The first half of the book is just this constantly. Not only was it super annoying but it felt like the author thought the readers were such idiots that she needed to whack us with this idiotic idea over and over. Maybe the author felt she had to do it so often because the level of naïveté the FMC had was so unbelievable that it was unconvincing. I guess the author went with the idea that if you keep doing something eventually people (readers) might buy in. Reminds me of someone who tries to convince you of a lie or excuse by doubling down.

Most of the first half of the book shouldn’t exist. It wasn’t needed for the book. It felt demeaning. It didn’t feel like the author respected the intelligence of her readers.

The “villain” that does something at the end doesn’t make sense. There are no logical reasons for that character to do anything let alone interact with the FMC. In fact the “villain” was the equivalent to a photo bomb type of character. In the background a couple of times.

I love reading about growly, possessive dragons and we get three in this new series! We meet Brexley, who lives with her best friend Gage and his family at their estate, which is all she has ever known. Brexley is a bit naïve and sheltered so when she get accepted into The Dark Imaginarium Academy she is hoping all that will change. Although she has never shifted and doesn’t know what her animal is. When she arrives she meets Gage’s best friends, Jagger and Breaker, who she seems to have a strong connection to, but she doesn’t know what it all means. Will she ever find her animal and will the guys always be just friends or something more?

What a great start to a new series by M. Sinclair! So here we have Bexley who doesn't remember some of her past. The question is why is that? Do we find out? Well when you start to reading the book you get sucked in really quick with what happened and you want to know how it all turns out. Then we speed up ahead a little and find out that she was accepted to the DIA academy. Now this is where things get interesting. So we have a friend Gage who has kept an eye on her for a while. There are also two other guys that are his friends. So we have to assume that there is something there. Bexley seems to be oblivious to the feelings of Gage but it is all not bad. Usually I get irritated when the female character complains about everything but that is not the case. She takes things in strides and adapts. She makes her own decisions. We do get to learn a little more about her and the guys. We find out a few secrets but we knew it was coming. Then the story gets really good at the end because she is pushing her limits and then something happens. Now we have to wait to find out if she learns to shift or if her men come to the rescue. It was a massive cliffhanger. Which I should be used to by now however I will never be. So what will happen next. Let the waiting begin.

Brexley has no memory of who she is or what has happened to her. Gage, her best friend, is all she's known. Being shelterd her whole life by Gage's family is all she's known, and when she's accepted into the Dark Imaginarium Academy she hopes it will change that. Unfortunately, she's never shifted and doesn't know what her animal is. On top of that, she feels a strong connection to the Storm Dragon clan heirs, Jagger, Breaker and Gage. Now she needs to figure out what's going on not only with the men, but with her abilities.

Right off the bat, I loved Brexley. She's strong, despite not knowing who she is and has taken a lot in her life. I adored her relationship with Gage and was rooting for them to get together. Adding Jagger and Breaker as mates made everything even better, especially with knowing how possessive dragons are. The author gave us a fantastic story that truly held my interest with its rollercoaster of a plot.

Love a mystery

Blitz is the start of the next trilogy from the Dark Imaginarium Acadamy universe, Bexley was found, aged 10, with no memory of who or what she was, and has grown up in the Bronzeheart household. She's been kept sheltered until now, when she joins the academy. Bex is both innocent and determined to figure out what happened to her. Gage, Jagged and Breaker, the 3 dragon heirs and her fated mates, are both protective of her and frustrated that they can't tell her what they know. Because yes, they know more about her than they let on! This is a fun story, with crossovers to the other DIA series, and a great cliffhanger. Looking forward to finally getting some answers!

Blitz is Bex's book after we got a brief glimpse of her in Lunar Witch. Bex has a naivety to her which is understandable with everything that she has been through. Especially being found a lost, homeless child with no memories of who she was or how she got there. Shes quickly taken under the wing of Gage and his family. When shes accepted into The Dark Imaginarium her life changes and more complications are brought up for too. Namely Gage and his friends - Jagger and Breaker all dragon shifters with plenty of possessiveness and protectiveness towards Bex. As well as a slow burn steaminess.

I really enjoyed reading this book and that cliffhanger ending was just epic! Bring on book 2
