Climate Change and Holy Writ

Rate this book
The basic and inherent temperature instability of the atmosphere indicates that the Earth could not possibly have existed in a habitable state for extended periods of time. This is in agreement with the Bible which teaches that neither the Earth nor its inhabitants have been here for e very long. It also teaches that there was a massive overwhelming world-wide flood. Science indicates that this was immediately followed by the Great Ice Age. The geological upheaval of the Flood would have released the massive quantities of heat required to heat the ocean to cause the Ice Age. In some cases the ocean was brought to a boil thereby providing the atmospheric moisture which enabled the great glaciers of the Ice Age to accumulate. Subsequently the ocean cooled. As it cooled carbon dioxide was absorbed which situation was tracked by a reduction in animal and human lifespan.Carbon dioxide is called the 'driver' Greenhouse Gas. As it was absorbed lifespans reduced and animal size also reduced. As long as the carbon dioxide could be controlled in this way climate stability continued. It would have taken hundreds of years for the ocean to completely cool down during which time the Earth enjoyed climate stability as atmospheric carbon dioxide was being controlled to continually decreasing levels. However ocean temperature eventually stabilized so that surplus carbon dioxide could no longer be absorbed. This was very likely during the Middle Ages when human stature seems to have been at a minimum. Thereafter the population expanded. More fuel for heating was rwequired and more land was cleared to grow crops. When stem power was developed even greter quantities of fuel was burned. The aggregate result of these developments was an increase in atmospheric carbon dioxide and it has continued to increase ever since. There is no turning back. This is in further agreement with the Bible which also teaches that life on the Earth will not continue indefinatly. It is now clear from the climate change taking place that the Earth might only remain habitable for another few hundred years and certainly not thousands. Climate Change and Holy Writ are therefore in agreement.
