*4.5* Begins right where the previous book left off, you must read this series in order!

“I became my own hero, Atticus. I don’t need someone to save me. I need someone to love me.”

MFMM
Dual pov
Mystery/action/political intrigue
Modern royals
No ow/om
Spanking, edging, DVP

Certainty more sexually explicit than book one, Atticus is a beast! There is a slight hint of MM that might take place more in the next book, but this was primarily MF.

More secrets are revealed! Christine begins to show more of her training, and August and Leo do their best to protect her.

“The goal was never to make you a killer, Little Monster. The goal was to make you stop fearing the world.”

Another huge cliffhanger!!

The bombs dropped, weren’t just figurative, but literal as well.

Christine has awoken in an unfamiliar space after the dreadful explosion at the castle. Never one to back down from a challenge, she is ready to get TF out of there and back to Prince Augustus and Leo.

With unexpected enemies and twists that couldn’t be predicted, No Such Queen will leave you hot under the collar and on the edge of your seat.

Of all my CoraLee reads, I think this is her best work to date. With equal parts suspense and steam, this emotional roller coaster will engross you in the best of ways.

This book started right where book 2 ended. CLJ came out swinging and had my emotions in a vice grip the entire time I was reading. She's got a way with words. Captivating and alluring. She puts her readers under a spell and we become mesmerized by all the shiny lights, sexy words and amazing characters.

My heart broke for so many in this book. I'm glad that pain didn't last too long, but there is always another moment that stops our hearts and breaks us just a little bit more.

Ok, I know you're no supposed to pick favorites in an RH, but she wrote this daddy, I mean man just too damn well. He is stealing the show for me and I ain't mad about it! The other two aren't far behind though. Finally the pieces of this relationship are falling into place. Christine is fierce and she will get what she deserves.

This book took us on a wild ride.. more secrets, more lies, more shocking discovers. And of course that cliffhanger had me wanting to throw my kindle. Can't wait to see how this epic trilogy plays out in the final book!

The name that launched a thousand orgasms: Daddicus. Oh yes, No Such Queen is overflowing with Daddicus yumminess. But our Atticus has been VERY VERY naughty. Cora gifts us with a male POV focused on our favorite alpha suitor- and HOLY MOLY does Daddicus deliver on all the steam. Even if he’s been a bad bad boy.

Yet again Cora wows with twists and turns galore. Royal intrigue, mafia danger, secrets and betrayal all abound. But the heart of this second in this thrilling trilogy is really about character reckoning. Facing the past and the consequences of those decisions while trying to figure out a future when their needs and desires don’t QUITE align. Thus far, all four of these characters have been working in tension with one another- none of them on the same page, or even the same book. Secrets, lurking longing, and carefully guarded machinations have kept them working in isolation. But as secrets are exposed, desires named, and enemies multiply, these flawed and broken characters are going to have to find a way to work in tandem, in concert with one another. But to do that, they are going to first have to flay themselves open and reveal all their secrets, their fears, their pain. Our story begins with a giant rouse and a lady in hiding, but these four wily and captivating characters can no longer continue to hide…from each other, but importantly themselves. They are MESSY MESSY in this story. Atticus intentionally hurts other to protect Christine and is unapologetic about it. Augustus continues to spiral. Leo cuts with his coldness and restraint. And Christine vacillates between owning her strength and lettings others overpower her. Again, the reckoning- and there is still work to be done for them to figure out themselves and each other, but make no mistake, they jump into the murkiness more than ever before.

Christine has to come into her power, to demand the life she wants instead of continuing to fall prey to the games of evil men. Atticus is going to have to stop trying to control and manipulate to get his way. Augustus has to grow up and stop using his toxic self-destructive tendencies as a crutch. And Leo? Well Leo has the furthest to come- he’s going to have to confront his self-doubt and open his heart. And they ALL will have to learn to trust, to find a way to stop trying to outwit, outlast, outcontrol the others and be BETTER men. Each have their own journey- and each are making incremental progress. It’s hard NOT to be drawn to one of these men more than the other, but all are critical to saving this kingdom AND healing Christine’s heart,, to helping her avenge her trauma. The question is are they men enough to face the worst of themselves to be the BEST for her? And after the tragic cliffhanger, can they even all survive?!

3 stars - Meh, I feel like I am getting whiplash from all the back and forth. And a little irritated if I am being honest. I usually am a CL June fan but this one is not sitting well with me. This story follows her captivity, escape and re-captivity.

Mucho Spoilers ahead! I almost DNF'D it but persevered...

She gets taken from the scene of the explosion and then locked up by Atticus. To keep her "safe". She tells him straight that he can't keep her and she will run. It takes s flipping long time for her to actually do that and all he can say is "Why did you leave?" OMG dude she told you.

And ironically:
He reached for my cheek. “The goal was never to make you a killer, Little Monster. The goal was to make you stop fearing the world.”
“And yet, here we are.” I let out a bitter laugh. “You’re the scared one now.”
“In some ways, you’re right,” he said without an ounce of regret. “And you’re wrong. I was never afraid of the world. I’m just afraid of losing you.”

Basically they trained her to be a killer but didn't it ever occur to her about leverage? The concern for those you love will make you a slave? Which- spoiler- is the basis for the next story. Its almost TSTL at this point (for me). Its reading immature with the love proclamations (long ass dialogues).
She doubts her love for all 3, believes the stupidest people that call he a whore and generally reads as a weak person. Not a bad ass.

When she runs, she goes back to her childhood home because she actually wants to be with her men but not as a captive. So they obviously find her and she thinks that that was a strong enough escape to make her point?? Obviously not, so that was weak. She should have just stayed but that wouldn't further the plot.

Leo, Leo- I don't think he needs to be a part of the harem, she needs to move on. And lose the loser August too, I think Atticus is big enough to count as 3. The sex scenes are a bit brutal and drawn out, I find myself skipping until a little - whoa!- action between Atticus and Leo. That was hot.

But what is it with DP on a woman and talking about "how tight" she is- Makes me say "Not For Long Fella's"!

No Such Queen by Coralee June starts right where the first book No Such King left off and quickly threw us in the midst of the anguish and trepidation of the aftermath of the explosion. I really felt the pain August was feeling and the guilt Atticus was trying to overcome. Needless to say, I can’t divulge anything about what happens and who is behind all the schemes in order not to spoil the story but I can say that it will be a surprise. I hope we won’t have to wait too long for the next book because our dear author gifted us with a nasty cliffhanger yet again! Nevertheless, I do forgive her for it simply because she was NOT stingy with the steamy scenes in No Such Queen❤️

The story picks up right where we left off in No Such King. There was an explosion at the engagement party and now everyone believes that Christine has died. Atticus has actually hidden her in his tower in his family's home. He believes is the best way to convince Lord Nathan to give up his quest. Little does Atticus and the others know, that Lord Nathan's plan involves more than just a marriage, and when they find out what he is really after, all the secrets come to light and now they have to work together, and quickly, so they can ruin what Lord Nathan has planned. Of course, while all this is going on, the romance between all of them heats up, even a reluctant but definitely interested, Leo.

This was a quick read due to all the twists, turns, and revelations. That ending! Obviously this book ends on a cliffhanger, but the final book will be coming soon and I'm anxious to get the conclusion and find out how they get their happily ever after.

If No Such King was epic, No Such Queen is something beyond that! Coralee June brings the full power of her writing here. Twists after twists. The sizzling hot passion and crazy chemistry. Flawed, complex and beautiful characters. This series is unputdownable.

This is book two of a trilogy.Lady Christine Abernathy has come back to Aldrich after a long time and the queen manipulated her to marry her son and the new king and her once upon a time best friend Augustus. The King's advisor and the underworld's ruler Atticus DuPont and King's bodyguard Leo also own part of her heart. When the fire ravages the castle, everyone thinks Christine is dead..but she is not. Atticus has taken her away to keep her safe. But Christine is a bada₹₹ and she won't stay back while the kingdom is burning down.

No Such King was from Christine and August's POV. No Such Queen is from Christine and Atticus' pov. Atticus is definitely the alpha of the three men. Powerful. Alpha. Ah0le. Dark. He rules the dark side of the kingdom and he is the powerful ally of the King but his loyalty lies with the woman he loves. He will do anything to protect her. No morality will stay on his way. He needed August to break in grief and it did. The reckless King living a life of debauchery and escape is slowly becoming the rightful ruler. His pain moulded him into this royal weapon. But he is not as ruthless and vicious as Atticus. He is still unstable and my heart aches for him. He is drowning in guilt of not being able to save Christine and it's destroying him. And Leo is unsure about his place in Christine's heart. He is the bodyguard and the servant but he also loves Christine fiercely and it's high time he owns that. And in middle of all the chaos is Christine. Omg this woman is just pure fire. She fought her trauma and used her anger to become a force to be reckoned with. She won't be controlled and contained. She will fight alongside these men and she demands and deserves the respect and equality. She wants three men and she is unapologetic about it. She craves their filthy connection and soul deep bonding. There are so many shocking revelations in this story that I cannot just keep track. It was carefully crafted mess of sinful desires, heartaching love and jaw dropping suspense!

Original review

This book was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Coralee June!

No Such Queen is the second book in the Bloody Royals series and continues the story of Christine and the three men Augustus, Atticus and Leo.

After finishing No Such King, I had to get my hands on the second book in the series, No Such Queen. Luckily for me, Coralee June has decided to publish each book in the Bloody Royals series one month apart. So we don’t have to wait long for the next book to arrive! When I got my hands on No Such Queen, I didn’t know what to expect. No Such King ended with a cliffhanger and I was shocked. And now after finishing No Such Queen, I didn’t think the book was going to end like that… I’m still not okay.

No Such Queen takes pace right where we left off in No Such King and this book was a whole ride. We get to know Christine better, but also Atticus. No Such Queen is written in Christine and Atticus’ perspective, and it was nice to get into Atticus’ head. I really like him, but he did some questionable things though. But besides that, No Such Queen is really about Christine getting closer to Atticus, Augustus and Leo, and them trying to figure out their whole situationship. On top of that, there’s a war starting…

No Such Queen was such an amazing Reverse Harem Romance with lots of twists and turns. I really enjoyed reading this book, it was fast-paced and well-written. Coralee June is such a talented author and I’m so loving the three guys and the different tropes. This book is, besides a RH Romance, a Royal Romance, a Mafia Romance, a Bodyguard Romance, an Arranged Marriage Romance, an Enemies to Lovers Romance and a Second Chance Romance. It got all the tropes that I like! If these tropes sound interesting to you, then I highly suggest that you start the Bloody Royals series!

Book 1 ended with a bang, literally, and book two picks up right where one left off. Only when the dust settles Queen Isabelle is dead and Christine is missing. Everyone thinks she's dead even August, but Atticus knows the truth. She's alive and he has her locked up in the DuPont Tower to keep her safe from whoever wants the crown. Only Christine isn't a weak little girl she is strong and powerful and doesn't want to be controlled by anyone not even the men she loves. After she drives this point home and is reunited with all three loves, they come up with a battle plan that doesn't quite work in their favor and ends with blood, betrayal and a future wedding to the enemy.
There are quite a few twists and turns, and another cliff-hanger ending! I can't wait to see how Christine and her men fair after this ending.

This book is so good. There is so much tension and spice. And our FMC, Christine is even more of a badass in this book. I loved the intense and intricate relationship between her and her men. I have come to the conclusion that I absolutely love royal mafia like romances.

No Such Queen is the second book in the Bloody Royals trilogy and I have no words to truly describe how good this book was. I was on the edge of my seat reading this book. There were so many unexpected enemies, twists, and turns. I’m obsessed with Christine and her men, okay… I’m obsessed with one man specifically. It was so difficult to put this book down and that cliffhanger has me wanting the next book right now!

No Such Queen is the second book in the Bloody Royals trilogy by Coralee June and you MUST read book 1 first. This is a RH royal romance, and at the end of the first book, I sort of had a favorite guy but I wasn't completely sold. By the end of this second book, I am totally Team Atticus and I really wouldn't care if we just dropped the RH at this point and Christine ran away with him. But maybe that's just me...

As this story progresses, there are more twists and turns and a bombshell or two. Things are getting messier and the relationships between Christine, August, Atticus and Leo are definitely complicated. There is some serious steam and I will say that Atticus and Leo do not disappoint. ;)

Since there is another book coming, this one does end on a cliffhanger and what a cliffy it is. I'm so angry at this book right now! I can't wait to see how it all plays out in the end.

The end of this book had me wanting to throw my kindle at the wall. Coralee June always has such well written and unique stories. I love how this series is set in the present day but still has an old world feel. Plus, the spicy scenes in the book are hot and off the charts.

Book two picks up right where it ends in the first book. We are left with the aftermath of the engagement party and how Christine and her guys are dealing with the attack. There are several secrets that get revealed during the course of this story. These secrets can and will have a great impact on the future for multiple people.

I love how independent and strong Christine is. She is willing to take on any fight to save herself and her men. Just when you are hoping things will work in her favor, there’s a major twist and it leaves you reeling. Book three can’t come out soon enough.

Holy canoli!!!

I have received an advanced copy for an honest review.

I tried so hard to prolong the ending of this one knowing Coralee's penchant for cliffhangers. I was not mistaken at all.

The intense drama, the heat and spicy is nothing readers have ever read from her!! She has taken it to the next level of intensity!! I absolutely cannot wait to get my hands on the next one.

A million stars if possible!!

No Such Queen is book two in the Bloody Royals Trilogy by CoraLee June. It continues straight on from the shocking cliffhanger of No Such King and we find out what happens next to Lady Christine Abernathy, King Augustus, Atticus DuPont and Leo Winthrop. The romance is still very dark in this ‘why choose’ story set in both a royal household and the criminal underworld. The plot races along and is full of twists and turns as secrets are revealed. It is packed full of heartbreak, angst, betrayal and manipulation as enemies are exposed and love pushed to its limits.

August is absolutely distraught and desperate to find Christine. Atticus is feeling guilty but is positive he has done the correct thing. Leo is angry and misses her. Christine feels trapped and is worried about August and Leo. She can’t believe Atticus has lied to the others and shown how dangerous he can be. She is annoyed over how she feels about him because she hates what he has done but can’t deny their chemistry.

My heart went out to August but I did understand the need to keep her safe. Atticus may not trust anyone else to take care of her but I didn’t agree with the way he went about it. His obsession with Christine seems out of control and I didn’t like the way he bullied Leo. With the rebellion against August building, rumours and enemies around every corner they don’t know who to trust. Christine is determined to show everyone what she is capable of because she is fed up with evil men trying to dictate her life.

Christine knows it’s selfish to want all three men. August has always loved and adored her. Atticus has watched and protected her for years. He’d do anything for her and is always there for her. She is addicted to Leo and the way he reassures and comforts her. August and Atticus realise they will have to share her if they are to keep her but Leo isn’t so easily convinced.

August must man up and stop being so self destructive. Atticus must stop trying to control everything. Leo must be more confident over what he wants. They all have their demons and we get a more in-depth look at all three. Can they work together to defeat those against them and get what they all want, but are any of them worthy of Christine. A horrific and traumatic cliffhanger leaves us wondering who will survive and how this trilogy will end.

Rating: ☆☆☆☆☆ Spice: 🌶🌶🌶🌶

Angst: 💔💔💔💔

Cliffhanger? ✅️

Do I recommend? ✅️

Trigger Warnings: ☠️ ☠️

Tropes: dark why choose romance, royalty, mafia, bodyguard, arranged marriage, enemies-to-lovers, second chance, forced proximity, Kidnapping

Atticus Dupont always watched from the sidelines as he had to become Christine Abernathy's stalker, savior and now captor. He claims he just wants to keep her safe. As the castle burned around them, he stole her from her fiance, King Augustus, and hid her in his tower of criminals. Despite knowing August is suffering without her, she can't deny her fierce desire for Atticus. His actions have her feeling anger and mistrust. Atticus has his reasons and he won't risk losing her before everything is set just right. August needs to man up and be prepared for the fight ahead. Leo Winthrop, Christine's bodyguard, needs to step out of the shadows and fight for what he wants. The crown is drowning in enemies but what if they are closer than any of them realize?

This trilogy gets more and more exciting!!! If I thought Atticus was hot as hell in the first book, he was utterly phenomenal in this one. I found myself admiring Augustus more and especially his character growth. I wanted to slap Leo. Christine was even more badass and I may have a little crush. She knows what she wants and what will make her happy and she's determined to have what she deserves. This was action-packed, filled with exciting twists and turns and four souls finding their place together. I am so excited to see how the author will write their HEA. I highly recommend this read. Just know you have to start from the beginning before reading this one. This is my honest opinion, freely given.

I have been waiting for this book for a month - as I got so invested in Christine and her trio's story. "No such king" ended on a big cliffhanger, and here we encounter the same case - I'm on my toes to get book 3 ASAP. Book one concentrated on August, and this one is on...
Atticus! The monster, as our heroine calls him, is on the front row this time. He has a lot of layers from nicer ones to very bad/crazy ones. He's powerful, to say the least, and nothing will stop him from having his love and keeping her safe - he will do everything (and I mean that!). When reading the male POV this time I could feel an obsession coming from the pages with each word when Atticus was thinking about Christine.
She's a strong female lead that knows what she wants (but is not sure if she should want it) - she can take anything she wants. No man will be her master - she is a force to be reckoned with, and she won't hesitate to demonstrate it - looking her away is not an option! Not once, or twice (which makes me really happy!).
This story is a constant rollercoaster with a great mix of romance, suspense, love-hate, hate-love, and craziness of the main (in this book) hero. As the Bloody Royals series is a Reverse Harem - then there will be more love interests, that would be included in bed scenes - which is great when your partners help satisfy your own needs (Christine is one lucky lady with Atticus!). Be ready for lots of twists and turns - just like in Ms. June style after book 1 you know what to expect - especially from the ending.

Kidnapped. Christine finds herself under the control of a powerful man once again. But this time, it's a man she loves, Atticus. Still, she won't allow herself to be possessed, controlled, or played with again. She wants him but if he's to be with her, it will be as an equal. She will not be locked away. If the men in her life want to be with her, they will stand at her side.

Suspense. Spice. And one kick-ass Lady. This story is continuous entertainment. It's full of romance, intrigue, surprises, and so much Atticus. He may have gone a little psycho with the explosion, and I was afraid would cross too many lines. I'm not the reader who easily forgives and forgets. No worries, Christine is not one to be locked up in an ivory tower, and quickly took control. She set rules she was willing to live by, to love by. And boy, did Atticus get on board. Not only did he meet her demands but he demanded the others meet her wishes as well. He ordered, coerced, and enticed them to make her happy. He was so sexy, and quickly became my favorite.

The ending was sensational. It sets up the next book brilliantly. This kingdom has a nasty habit of undervaluing and underestimating women. Christine will make them pay dearly and I will be there for every word.

I am really enjoying this series so far. It is an interesting take on being a royal and having a “king” in the harem, a guard, and a king of the underworld all working together towards one goal, protecting/loving Christine Abernathy. Christine isn’t some damsel in distress though. She fights her own battles especially for the men she loves.

This book picks up where book 1 left off. August is king and just lost his mother and Christine. Atticus saved Christine from the fire, but keeps her locked up so that everyone thinks she is dead to protect her. Leo learns the truth and confronts Atticus about it. There is a lot of things happening in this one. You find out a lot of truths about the previous king/queen. Although there were a lot of truth bombs in this one it was great to see the men come together to fully show Christine the love they have for her and everything they would do to protect her.

The spice in this one was HOT. Atticus is such a sexy, take no crap character and basically lets Christine know that although she will marry August she belongs to him. Sooooo hot. Anyways, this book was soo good and I am really looking forward to book 3!

Trying to do this without spoilers so my review may be a little vague in places.

We pick up in the aftermath of the cliffhanger ending of No Such King, the Castle is in full lockdown and Atticus… well Atticus is keeping secrets.

#Spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ I felt there could’ve been more spice but what there was in the story was HAWT!

The plot thickens in the wake of the engagement party, Christine missing presumed dead, Augustus trying to be a leader while dealing with his grief and guilt over the death of his mother and the likely death of his beloved Christine.

I’ll be honest, at one point I was thinking that I wasn’t sure where this story was going but it was all solid groundwork being laid to strengthen the plot further down the line

Another cliffhanger ending and I’m sat here grinding my teeth… I love being an ARC reader but sometimes I just need all the books and I need them NOW!

CoraLee - you devilish woman, I love your books, I love your writing style and if you could invent a man for me I’d be much obliged as you write some deliciously dark men.

Loved this instalment - cannot wait for #NoSuchRing

Secrets unfold, the love story really begins to take shape and it's hotter than ever, plus the plot thickens - yes, that's right - it's growing tense in the kingdom of Aldrich, but don't worry Dadicus is here to lead us into temptation.

If there was a true player among the three men vying for Christine's affection it would be Atticus, but please let me clarify the term player in my sentence before continuing. Atticus, or Dadicus as he's becoming fondly known among readers, is a master chess player. He's been moving people into place for years. Manipulating his way into the right position to be exactly where he currently is; by Christine's side. A true king to sit by his queen. He's only done everything in his life to end up by her side...sigh...has it all been on the up and up...eh...let's not look at his underbelly, but aren't antiheros extra delicious?

I loved getting into the mind of Atticus. He was brilliant on how he handled August in his grief and despair. He's been excellent on how to tackle Leo and his hesitancy regarding Christine. Atticus is the perfect center in their man triangle and the perfect grounding point for Christine. He sees her for all of her perfection and all of her darkness. He just accepts her, always has and always will.

And speaking of a man triangle, will they, won't they? You'll have to read and find out for yourself how hot Coralee sizzles this quadrouple? What is the term for four people in a relationship? Anyway....

Yes, the plot moves forward along with their harem relationship, with lots of spice and hotness splashed throughout. This is only book two so there is still more story to unfold with hanging questions to the big cliffhanger that we all need answers to like right now!!

When a series is this gripping and this entertaining, you get to the last page without realising it. I'm so glad these are quick release books! Christine really has every choice for her own life snatched away here. I'm enjoying seeing the moments when she fights back against the patriarchy and I feel like the last book is going to really show us all what she is made of. With three loves of her life, August, Atticus and Leo, she faces challenges no one should have to. She's got the restraints of royal life as the betrothed of King August, the dangers of being away from him if she takes off with Atticus, the criminal son of the underworld and the moral high road that Leo the royal guard, chooses over her every time. What can she do to convince all of them to just give her control? While I'm not surprised by any of the evil deeds in this wonderful series, some of the twists and turns have kept me guessing. Another brilliant read!

The dust is still settling after the attack on the castle the night of Augustus and Christine’s engagement party. August is devastated, desperate for answers. But unfortunately he’s kept in the dark with several things.

With this book we finally get more with Atticus. He’s harboring a lot of dark secrets linked directly to the crown and is doing everything he can to protect Christine, even if she hates him for it.

I enjoyed this since we got to see a lot from Atticus’ POV and what his true intentions are. These three men love Christine so fiercely but also in very different ways. This one was a little slow moving for me but once Christine takes back her control and lays it all out there for her men we start to see how this dynamic could play out.

This cliffhanger and everything leading up to it in the last few chapters was brutal. I knew that little glimpse into their relationship was just a tease!! Can’t wait to see what happens in the final part of their story.
