Genre and tropes: omegaverse, Why Choose, alphahole bodyguard
OK, so I have to start off with saying I'm super disappointed. I absolutely loved the first 40-50% of the book, it was a wild ride that definitely had me guessing for what was to come. When I thought I knew what was happening, the book proved me wrong. It was a fun, exciting and wild ride. The fmc wasn't my favourite, I didn't get much from her personality wise. But I did like the guys a lot. I can't write much about them without spoling anything, honestly.
As for the plot, the setup was great. Mafia, a heist, a kidnapping, people double and triple crossing other people? So much fun! But then it all fizzled out. There was no exciting end for the main plot, and it all seemed sort of forgotten. Another thing mostly (conveniently and suddenly!) forgotten were all the issues and problems of the various mmcs. It was like the author skipped a big portion of the story that would have been so important and great for building the relationships and characters. When the actionfilled start of the plot turned a whole lot less action filled, there wasn't much left of the characters and their chemistry was sort of non existent. Eg. there was nothing to explain why she hadn't had a heat until now and why I was triggered by certain alphas.
The last 20% were especially disappointing. The dialogue was kind of cringy and cheesy, and the smut was not particularly hot or memorable.
In general, this was a super promising book, that had so much potential, but it all fizzled out and turned very, very flat. It would have greatly benefitted from being a duet or having a smaller pack. I so wanted to love this, but alas, it was not to be.

I wanted to like it, but too choppy
It just felt so random and chopped up. The ideas were good but too many and none of them flushed out to where they fit in the plot. I read the entire thing,hoping it would somehow come together. It all came out of left field… * SPOILERS AHEAD*
atlas, supposed to be big bad stalker, flips immediately. Cain is an asshole who she hates and then all the sudden loves because of Trent, who also comes out of left field as a triplet (?) if the other two. Don’t even get me started on Carter. The only alpha that made sense in this entire book was Nico. I wish I’d quit while I was ahead lol

This omegaverse is like the first time you try popping candy now I know that sounds weird but it's the best way to describe it. When you open the book you are thrown straight in I mean wow do not start this in public *wink wink* and it carries on throughout the book each chapter brings new pops you don't expect and I loved it I have found more than one future book husband for myself and the fact we have knotting, heat, gorgeous scents, mafia and plenty more twists and turns it truly is everything I want from an omegaverse mafia rh

wasn’t for me
I adore omegaverse. This one just wasn’t for me. It started off that I really didn’t care for the FMC. She was so wishy-washy, with a conflicting personality. She’s the sad pack princess who is so isolated and lonely, but then she’s a firecracker, but she’s so meek and mild and rule abiding. Her personality or lack of one was just not intriguing. It got a little confusing because she started off not even liking the guys who she ended up with, which I’m totally cool with having them all work for it… but then there was no working for it? She used the first one only because she was allowed proximity bc he was her guard…. He “died” and she cared but really didn’t care because even though they’d been f-buddies she really only thought of him as a f buddy. The other one she could care less about bc she thought he was a man-wh*re. They have one brief interaction then he’s her guard, and then she’s able to tell the difference between his identical triplet because “he has haunted eyes”…. Insert my eye roll because she’s never looked twice at the guy before to actually get to know him. Basically it goes that all these guys are completely enthralled by her and she is completely clueless to what’s going on. There’s nothing intriguing about her except she’s a forbidden clueless mafia princess yet she inherits the pack? Doesn’t make any sense. It doesn’t make sense that both of her parents are heads of a mafia that she had no idea about (insert eye roll) or that her mom is a mafia head and she comes off as an airhead. Willing to break protocols and sound like an idiot.
This book didn’t feel like it had depth or was well developed and executed . It was like a problem was introduced then a few pages later it was fixed or just not talked about again. There were parts that didn’t really read like an omegaverse or conflicted with some of the omegaverse trope- which I appreciate the author took that and made it her own, but I didn’t care for it. As an RH lover and omegaverse lover the biggest turn off was how the group of guys didn’t really treat the situation as a pack. She gets pregnant again and the one guy is all smirking because he knows they are his because he was the only one with her during the heat.
I like the omegaverse/RH trope where they are together as a group and treat all kids the same. It just doesn’t feel like that. It feels like favoritism is still a thing even after being together 3 years later.
This book just needs to be worked on again and re-released.

Sugar Baby is an incredible standalone that is dangerous, delicious and dark. This book was packed with all the emotion, intensity, action and delicious darkness that I love. It had me gripped for the very first page! I adored Sophia. I adored her no nonsense attitude and the unwavering strength of self she always showed. She was strong willed, loved deeply and never let anything stand in her way. She was the epitome of strength and another kickass female to add to the growing mix!
The beautifully troubled males were every inch the Byronic heroes. Each male had a depth to their character which was intriguing to explore whilst still delivering an intensity that had me going weak in the knees. I adored them all in their own way. I loved how they also gelled as a collective!
I also adored the plot of this story. It had so many twists and turns. There was so much to unravel from each character that the reading experience was really enjoyable and it flowed so beautifully. I loved that you needed to constantly look out for the unexpected but you were always left satisfied. I particularly enjoyed Cain’s acceptance of himself and Sophia’s growing independence and ability to lead.

Starts off with a bang. One of the best dump you into the story I've come across in a while - you instantly know the heroine and understand two of her possible harem. Then we have the gangster understory and a possible twist introduced. Totally ready to jam to a gangster-harem genre mashup - Goodfellows being ... good at being fellows if you know what I mean.
But two or three twists later, another three possible harem members (with the dom being very flat ... both on the gangster side and the harem side), massive complicated family structures, and ... another two or three twists, it just doesn't end well.
Great start, all the plot twists tie their strings in a conspiracy theory level map - I wouldn't want to edit it to make sure they all were done, but I feel they all did pan out. Overall I think the story needed to be about 50 pages longer to give the emotional moments time to transpire.
Also when the characters start commenting that things seem a little over the top, and the story is not a parody, then you might need to cut back. (in this case )

This book takes you for a ride! It has all the best elements from dark romance and the omegaverse! Crazy hot protective alphas ✅️ protective daddy ✅️ submissive and domination ✅️ a crazy plot twist ✅️ a little game of chess✅️
This book is amazing. I love Sugar and her smarts. She plays her part in her daddy's world storing away knowledge about the goings on of his world but knows her strengths and when to act. I like that it's a different take to the omegaverse where the omegas are allowed to be protective of what's theirs and really shows their loyalty to one another. This book has all the great romance versions too. Love at first sight, a love that was kindled from friendship, hate to lust to love, enemies to lovers, and a lucky happenstance of an arranged deal. Read this book and you won't be disappointed, it was a quick read for me and it has a happy ending that really gave me the happy feeling all day. I am throughly giddy from this wonderful RH stand alone.

WOW!
This was a wild ride of a story, and I was here for every second of it. It’s 3 am, I have things to do tomorrow and I’ve had a fever for days.. but instead of sleeping I literally couldn’t put this down. My favorite of the author’s Omegaverse novels for sure!
Mafia meets Omegaverse in this story that follows Sugar, the family omega heiress as she builds her pack through so many twists I kind of wish I had a map. Her Alphas are all connected to each other and her family through an intricate web that seriously made this unputdownable.
Grumpy/sunshine, age gap, millionaire/wealthy, bodyguard,.. and a few other tropes I love that I can’t name without ruining a couple twists for you.. just.. high spice, high drama, HEA *chefs kiss*
I wanted MORE when I finished, and absolutely can see this getting added to my “will definitely reread” list.

I am a huge lover of Omegaverse books and even more of Eve herself and I wanted so badly to be able to give this book a higher rating. The first 80% of the book was good but once it hit that mark it felt super rushed. And as such it left me wanting so much more from the book and its characters.
Sophia is very much a protected Omega but for reasons that she truly doesn't understand. As her mates come into the picture secrets are brought to light and a huge surprise is revealed. Once she learns the reasoning behind her protected past I felt that the book truly started to open up into such an amazing story. But once I grasped onto that the story was pushed into a super quick ending.

Where to start. I almost DNFd it, but I have never done that and I wasn’t going to let this book do me in! The author did not do a good job of explaining her universe. We got purring and growling but nothing other than they are packs with alphas and so forth. There were too many characters with no real relationship building. They just love her cuz she is pretty? They are just cool with the situation? I don’t know who is more at fault. The editor or the writer. I did give it 2 stars because the author did sit down and wrote a whole book. Whether I feel that it is good or not, I did want to give them some credit. Remember this is just my opinion and opinions are like ***holes, everyone has one or knows one.

Now that was a story!!! Literally hooked me from the first sentence…… when you read you will know why. Absolutely loved Sophia/ Sugar and her story. Soon as I finished all I thought was how this was one heck of a story. Absolutely loved loved this storyline plus the multi knottings and steam. Yes this is an Omegaverse story. One of the best ones I have read.
No spoilers here. But omg can I just say the guys in this story. Hot Hot Hot plus two more Hots.
I will say the Epilogue made me giggle a little. So happy to be able to read a little more into the future.

This grabbed my attention from the very first line. This is a high heat standalone omegaverse romance with elements of a dark romance. The heat is immediately and oh so steamy. I enjoyed the twists and surprises, of they weren't for me they definitely were for Sugar and her men. While I didn't know how to feel about a few of the Alphas they really stole my heart in the end, especially Carter. But Nico had stolen it form the beginning. This is a wonderful read that became a one sitting read as I didn't want to put this book down. I liked the the men were similar but yet so different at the same time even if their stories intertwined.

Sugar Baby is a Reverse Harem Omega-verse that just keeps on giving! Literally!! 😈 I’m so use to dark and thrilling but this book was different in a way that I couldn’t put it down. I can’t think of any triggers to warn y’all about but I must warn you that you won’t expect what is to come. I loved it. It is a quick read and very entertaining. While I was getting a pedicure and getting beat from the massage on my legs, Sugar Baby helped ease my pain! The spice in this book….well I can’t say much without spoiling some good stuff. But I will say that it was…🤤…interesting lol. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I have! 🖤

Sugar Baby is a Reverse Harem Omegaverse standalone by Eve Newton. We meet Sophie, aka Sugar who is an Omega mafia princess. This book starts right out with a smexy, naughty opening. So much going on. Lots of mafia intrigue. Throughout the story we meet Nico, Cain, Carter, Atlas, and Trent. This was interesting in that the Alpha men were not in a pack or knew each other beforehand. Sugar is the main person who brings her pack together. Lots of spice. Lots of smexy time. Lots of knotting. No bullying. No cheating. Some TW. HEA. Loved the epilogue. Loved getting to know Sugar and her pack.

Ok so I am completely pulled into this book and love Sophia as a leading lady. She is Sugar to her Dad and he wants to protect her at all cost. So she is living her life in a golden cage. A cage it is to her as well as she wants to live life. However life is turning into something interesting at a decision made on a whim and this throws her life into upheavel. I really enjoyed the guys here. Atlas is mine by the way . I can't choose for the life of me. It is well written, the story good (omegaverse and mafia, need I say more?) and I am just waiting for more omegaverse by this author!

I love Eve Newton’s writing and when she writes a book with my favorite tropes- omegaverse, mafia and reverse harem- I’m in heaven! And Sugar Baby delivered! I loved the Alphas; I loved Sugar. The connections that developed between her and her Alphas were so wonderful and super hot and steamy! Eve writes great spice! I loved seeing a pack come together and the dynamics of that. My only complaint is I wish it were longer- I wanted more of everything! 🔥❤️

Mafia Omegaverse
This is a different take from other Omegaverse books I've read, it's got mafia and age gap elements. While I enjoyed the story I was so confused for most of the book of who was who and who they worked for. Main character goes from a strong, trying to be independent woman to falling fast for guys that she probably should have fought the bond more about. It was not what I was expecting from the blurb.

Sugar (Sophia FMC) is an Omega/Mafia Princess who lives in a protective and closeted life. Only for her life to collide with 5 different Alphas - Nico, Cain, Atlas, Trent and Carter. Each with differing agenda's and intertwining stories. It was an engaging read with plenty of sexy as hell and steamy scenarios. I loved it so much!!

You would think after all the books this author has written they’d be at least decent at it….yeah no. The dialogue is corny. They don’t act or talk like adults at all. The inner dialogue is even worse. Like please what happened to authors caring about their craft?

Sugar baby is a fantastic read! Sophia aka Sugar is a fiery omega, but it takes some pretty dangerous situations for her to start bursting from her gilded cage. There are plenty of surprises along the way and you will not be disappointed. Sugar baby is great stand-alone book and is great for when you want a quick read. I highly recommend!

Sugar Baby is a delicious Omegaverse RH that had action, family drama, and delicious Alphas. Sugar has lived her entire life in a guilded cage, and is overprotected by her parents. Her whole world is turned upside down, and she discovers people from her past, and who could be her future. I loved this book, and couldn’t put it down!

Well maybe her happy ever after that is she has one wicked ride to get there and there are some wicked good surprises I won't spoil but dannnnnnnngggggg gurrrrllll!!! I absolutely loved how fierce this fmc and her mother are! I loved the surprisingly different storyline of the triplets, I felt Cains pain. Nico reminds me of a fierce grizzly bear. Carter is an Alpha Prime that is very surprisingly chill. I enjoyed the back story between her mother and her mothers twin very much and was very pleased with how it turned out.

As she learns more of her family history she builds bonds with the complex men in her life. This book has an interesting story to back up the love story unfolding on it’s pages.

Another amazing book from Eve Newton. Sugar Baby is about finding your family and there's certainly plenty of that happening here. I certainly fell in love with the guys but especially Nico, who has the best opening line about him, ever!!!!

Eve has brought us another fantastic book! Sophia/Sugar is on a rollercoaster ride of emotions and events that lead her to her Alphas. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story and highly recommend it, I can't wait for the next one! Don't miss out on this book!!
