The pop princess with her bright blue hair, pouty lips, haunting eyes, and the voice of a siren… She’s always been too busy for us. Music seems to be the one language we both speak.

It’s not enough. For her. For them. For anyone.

I’m not enough.

My brothers want her, the world owns her, and everyone else is vying for a piece of her. At the end of the school year, she walked away and didn’t give us a second look. Discarding us like she had her father.

Now, I can’t decide what I want more—for her to come back or to never see her again.

*Please note this is a reverse harem and the author suggests you always read the forward in her books. Contains some bullying elements, mature situations, and is recommended for 17+. This is book two of four in a series and the story will continue through future books.

I love books. Not just a little bit, but a lot. Books were my best friends when I was growing up. Books didn’t care if I was new to a town or to a class. They were always there, my trustiest of companions. Until they turned on me and said I had to write them.

I can tell you that my own personal happily ever after included writing books. I’ve always said that an HEA is a work in progress. It’s true in my marriage, my friendships, and in my career. I am constantly nurturing my muse as we dive into new tales, new tropes, new characters and more.

After seventeen years back in Texas, we relocated to the Pacific Northwest in search of seasons, new experiences, and new geography. I can’t wait to discover what life (and my muse) have in store for me.

Maybe writing was always my destiny and romance my fate. After all, my grandmother wasn’t a fan of picture books and used to read me her Harlequin Romance novels.

Friends to lovers, enemies to lovers, friends to enemies to lovers, you name it, I love them and love to write them. I started with Earth Witches Aren’t Easy, the first in the Chance Monroe trilogy, but my characters and I have traveled a long way since I created that urban fantasy world.

One of the series I hear my readers recommend the most is the Untouchable series followed in quick succession by the Vandals, and that just delights me. No lie, whenever one of my readers brings up my wolves, I do a little a fist pump.

I’m active on social media, and I love hearing from readers. Feel free to tag me with a question about any of my books, or just say hi!

I had a feeling that this book was going to make me completely obsessed with this series and I was totally right! While book one set up a lot of the groundwork for who our characters were and where the series was going to go this book had so much action going on throughout I honestly felt bad for KC, poor girl could not seem to catch a break to save her life! But she took everything in stride as well as she could and I loved how compassionate she remained towards the guys even when they didn't deserve it.

Speaking of the guys, having their POVs was a complete game changer! I loved getting inside their heads and seeing how different they all are and how those differences contributed to their relationships with KC. It was also very nice to watch all of them admit that their previous assumptions about her were completely off base now that they knew her and that they had messed up with how they all treated her. Seeing them all be so smitten with her and expressing that in their own ways just warmed my heart! I think my favorite at the moment though is Jonas, he is such a sweetheart and all of his wholesome moments with KC were so freaking precious! 😭💕

Unfortunately though, all good things have to come to an end and I was so heartbroken to see all the good parts of KC's life blow up in her face. To end where Heather did was absolutely cruel because I just know the guys are so freaking close to figuring out she has siblings and I'm desperate to see how that completely changes their dynamic with KC but also their mother. Tbh I hate their mother and think that she is responsible for everything that makes KC think that her father doesn't care, it wouldn't shock me if Gibs didn't even know about his other children due to manipulation from his wife. I'm so curious to see how that plot line develops because I really want Gibs to turn out to be good, KC deserves a supportive parent in her life after all of this!

So if you couldn't tell, I'm eagerly waiting for the release of Party Crashers in June because I have so many dang questions! Are KC and Aubrey staying in school? Is the secret society going to play an important role in the rest of the books? What about the retreat and KC's mom's sudden wedding? When will the guys find out about the other siblings? Will we get some more high quality groveling? Who is the stalker?! I actually have my own theories on who the stalker is but I'm hoping we make some progress towards unmasking them soon! Safe to say, I can hardly wait to see what will happen next! 🤩

I really really wanted to love this, but I don’t know what I’m reading. Aside from the first day of school’s incident, nothing is happening! Which hello?! Are they never going to bring that up? We all know something fishy went down but it’s never brought up and months have already passed. Maybe in the last 50% of the book, but I can’t bring myself to read anymore. So much is skipped or just skimmed over. Weeks turn into months, and NOTHING IS HAPPENING. And the worst part is no one is talking to anyone. There’s literally zero conversations happening, with anyone, despite having 4 pov. I can only read so much about KC running before I wanna scream. I love Heather, and the Untouchables & 82 Street Vandals are my absolute favorites of hers, but this series just isn’t doing it for me.😔

irritated by the male leads ++++SPOILERS+++++

I get that the male leads are idiots but to never Google your step dad to realise he’s a manwh@re with several kids strewn across the place is just ludicrous. I’ve read everything this author has written and this is the biggest stretch I’ve had to maintain and when I realised that half of this series misunderstandings were based on this premise I wasn’t sure I could finish. Skipped half the last lake and the brothers are really not worth her time. Redemption arc better include a massive increase in intelligence.

Book two in the series and I still have so many questions. The more we get to know these characters the more I’m questioning what happened before. I need to know where so much of the misinformation has come from - I’m pretty sure I know who I hate at this point. I feel so sorry for KC! She’s just trying to I find her own happiness.
I really want the guys to grovel! Jonas has grown on me, Ramsey has me confused but Lachlan needs to beg forgiveness. I can’t wait for the third instalment for this series as after the ending I’m sure book three will turn everything up a level.
Rockstar, step brother why choose romance, what are you waiting for?

This series has me completely hooked! Book one was great; I loved it! But book two? Buckle up and get ready!! You won’t want to miss this series. It’s full of suspense, action, ninja kisses, and so much more. At the end of the first book, KC was left devastated. Even though the guys were horrible to her, KC held her head up high and proved she was b*da$$. When she discovered who they were, and what they had been hiding from her, her heart dropped to the floor—as did mine. Fast forward to book two and KC is livid. She decides she’s better off without them. Unfortunately for her, they won’t let her go that easily.

Mad Boys is filled with twists and turns you won’t see coming; I loved that. Also, who doesn’t love the enemies-to-lovers trope? These guys have some serious groveling to do, but they are stubborn and convinced she’s a stuck-up spoiled princess. There’s a lot of back and forth between her and the guys which adds so much smexual tension; this book is fire! There is some delicious spice, and I cannot wait for more!

I LOVED that this book was multiple POVs. It was so great to see inside the boys’ heads. It added another layer to the story that we wouldn’t have gotten otherwise. As the book goes on, the boys realize that they may have gotten KC all wrong; maybe she’s not the princess they thought she was. But why does she avoid her dad? They don’t understand. The push/pull between these characters is fantastic. I also love that KC doesn’t just fall at their feet. They want her? They need to pull up their big boy panties and man up.

There is SO much that happens in this book, and I honestly didn’t think I would love it as much as I did. Shame on me for thinking that. It’s amaze-balls, and if you like enemies-to-lovers, why choose romance, stalkers, and a harem of brothers, this is a must-read! I am dying for the next one already. I had such a hard time putting it down, and I was so sad when it ended because … what’s going to happen next?! They graduated, so will KC see these guys again?! So many questions. While we do get a few answers about RJ, there are still so many left unanswered, and I’m dying to find out what’s next. Congrats Heather on another fabulous book!

Oh my girl KC, when it rains it pours for you! I was absolutely gripped, as always, from the very first page right up until the end. Following the end of Problem Child and the family revelations we’re really thrown in, the merry band of douchebags finally realise that KC is absolutely nothing like their original narrow minded thoughts of a cold spoiled pop star. This led to some great relationship growth with each one of the guys at difference paces, filled with sarcasm, smart one line jabs, protectiveness (and arrogance, of course), snark and a slap around the head (or two) for a certain someone especially, and hello I can’t forget the tension filled moments and stolen kisses! On top of this KC also has so much to deal with, drama from gossip sites, attacks, secrets, family, the press and a twist I didn’t see coming and have SO many questions about where it’s heading. Aubrey absolutely needs her own special shout out, I love the fierce protection she has for KC (along with Yvette) and witnessing her dealing with Lachlan, Ramsey and Jonas had me reeling with laughter. I also absolutely love Dix and am hoping he stays on the good side, I have some theories running wild and really want my ones involving him to be wrong! Seeing my other favourite friends from Heathers other series, The Untouchables, was like a warm hug also. The ending has left me honestly wondering how the start of Party Crashers is going to even begin and I’m on a count down for the release to find out!

Well it certainly all goes downhill for any possible emerging relations between KC and the boys after that revelation 😩 yet they are determined to maintain a presence in her life despite her cold shoulder! Although the brothers are determined to be in her life one way or another, no matter how that may be 😬 yet KC has far more in her life going on than these boys: with random riddles; strange stalkers; and a fracturing family there’s a lot for this 16 year old to contend with…. Especially as the book develops, be prepared for some shocks 😮
Despite her cold attitude towards the boys, there’s definitely some heating up with stolen ninja kisses; furtive glances; and a burgeoning friendship they may just start working their way back in 😍 and the more they find out about KC through her interactions with them and responses to situations the more they realise they were definitely judgey and don’t have to whole story 😳
As things begin piling up, everybody wants a piece of Kait and lo and behold one by one people begin to use her and let her down or prove she can’t trust anyone 😣 will she be able to keep going or will there be a final straw?!?!

4 ⭐️ 1.5 🌶️

KC and the douchebags three are back after KC’s shocking discovery at the end of Problem Child about who the boys really are to her. She’s hurt on multiple fronts but also understands some of the outright rudeness she dealt with from them early on. The guys realize that she didn’t actually know about this connection and that they misjudged her and regret their poor behavior.

Coming back for her senior year things start off with a bang when there is a catastrophic incident that leads to reorganization of room assignments. KC and Aubrey get assigned to KC’s arch nemesis, but Jonas (douchebag 1) happens to be right across the hall in a suite with an empty room and steps in to save the day. And so the detente between KC and Jonas begins. Lachlan has always been the most aggressive pursuer of our girl, and nothing has changed there. Ramsey has started to see her in a new light and is definitely trying to make up for past bad behavior but also has to be careful about that whole TA/student thing…

KC has a lot going on her senior year — classes seem to be going better, but family issues, stalker problems, secret society riddles, and boy drama keeps things plenty crazy. She has her girls in her corner but everyone else is a question mark as far as she is concerned, it takes a lot to gain her trust, especially once you’ve royally screwed it up.

Thoughts: I enjoyed that this was multi POV and we got into the heads of the d-bags! Jonas is such a sweetheart. I also can’t help but love Lachlan, he’s my early fav. This felt very plot driven, but parts felt a little bit slow to me (middle 1/3), like I was just waiting for something to happen. There were lots of scenes of them making coffee and having pizza, or doing homework and watching TV. There were parts of the Untouchable series that were like this before it really picked up. The last part of the book picked up again and I was cruising right along anxious to see what would happen next! I trust Heather’s process completely, there are probably reasons we are seeing KC’s downtime and getting a feel for her routine. And when things get going in a Heather Long book, they REALLY get going! I can’t wait for book 3! I’m ready for more spice and more uncovering of some secrets that are sitting out there!

Read as an arc in exchange for an honest review.

I really like these characters a lot. Lachlan is definitely my favorite and he just can’t keep people fists and knees off himself lol. I do like Ramsey and Jonas a lot too, Lachlan is just the entertaining goofy ball.

KC goes through a lot in this one with the guys everyone now knows she never knew the guys were brothers or her step brothers until the end of book one. Now that that miscommunication is sorted gah there are so many more. I seriously can’t wait until everything is out in the open.

I love the step-brothers trope so much, I thought this series would be steamier but even though it’s not I’m really enjoying it. This one picks up at the end of summer and starts off with a bang. Unlike the first one that was KC’s junior year, this being her senior year time jumped a lot. Which is fine it just made the pacing some what different from what I got use to with the first book. I still don’t feel like a whole lot got accomplished in 400 pages lol. Like the first one we get little snippets, a couple of crazy things happen, them bam a big ending with a cliffy. That’s definitely what’s keeping me hooked. It’s a fun series and I really love the characters. Excited for Party Crashers!

O.M.G…I am blown away with Mad Boys. I love all of Heather Long’s books!! Heather has a way of capturing my attention and holding it to the very end. She always leaves me wanting so much more ! I can’t wait for Party Crashers. I need to know if KC and the Douchebag Three finally figure things out. With Untouchables and 82 Street Vandals series the characters figured things out and was about them finding their way. While Blue Ivy Prep is about them working out their issues and about the push and pull between KC and the Douchebags Three I just want them to figure things out and then I really hope the series continue with them figuring out life just like with my two favorite series (Untouchables and 82 Street Vandals). I also have stated in previous reviews from Untouchables but I love the interconnection between the two series and love it all!! Mad Boys has so much drama, angst, push and pull, all the feels, twists, turns, things going sideways, ups, downs, and lots of heat!! I sincerely recommend Mad Boys, Blue Ivy Prep series, and Heather Long as an author. Happy Reading!!

This book was full of suspense but it was the quiet moments in between that really got to you.

It does deal with some pretty heavy topics, so be sure to check trigger warnings.

Ramsey, Lachlan and Jonas start the year firmly on not only KC's sh!t list but also on each others. A lot of grovelling occurs, but personally we are just waiting for the moment that the brothers become fully aware of just how hard KC's life has been, and how terrible her Father has been to her. At that point, they might even realise that grovelling may not even cut it.

Despite being knocked down 100 times, KC just keeps getting back up, always putting on a brave face no matter what the circumstance. However, at the end of the book it all finally catches up and she finds herself seeking comfort from someone that she would not have expected.

And then............ Heather leaves us on a big F off cliff and is like hopefully you can find a way down, if not enjoy the view until next time. Arrrrggggghhh. We still love you Heather but like, Book 3 please.

Mad Boys is book two in the Blue Ivy Prep series and picks up where the first book ended. This book has a lot of unexpected twists and storylines that will keep you guessing until the end.

I absolutely love KC! She is hit with so many things in this book but still remains standing and doesn't want to give up on just being normal for a little while. My heart broke for her though because she is just dealing with too much on her own. I love how fiercely Aubrey and Yvette want to protect KC; everyone needs friends like them. I loved Jonas' character development throughout this book and I really started to like him. Honestly, I really like Lachlan and Ramsey too. I just need them to all start opening up more so that maybe they can get past all the family drama. I was completely shocked at the ending! I definitely didn't see that happening but I loved it!

There is so much that happens in this book. Just when I thought things were going to start going well for at least one of the guys, Heather Long threw in a curveball that shattered it all. I couldn't put this book down and cannot wait for book 3. I need to know what is going to happen!

Well I guess I should thank Heather as that doesn't really count as a cliffie for me, but my gosh do I really need the next book like right now.

I have so many things I need to know. The guys relationships with KC progressed a fair bit in this one and I really loved where her friendship with Jonas was going...he's my fave, I'm very unhappy Heather you know why!

I can't wait for book 3, I'm really hoping the guys learn like everything about her in the next book.

I also need more Johnny, he's so sweet to KC I love their relationship and hope her mum and him can become a positive force in KCs life

OMG…this book just tore my heart from my chest and smashed it to pieces! My heart hurts so badly for KC. Her world is in turmoil and full of chaos, but the punches keep coming. The world, including those who should know better, believes the lies spread by haters and the media. Trust is hard for her, but she begins to little by little start to trust her stepbrothers, only to find herself used as a pawn, even if unintentionally. This is book two in the series and should be read in order as it is not a standalone. If you love slow burn, why choose, rockstar, stepbrother, academy, teacher/student, and bully romances, then this is definitely for you. As always: CHECK TRIGGER WARNINGS!!!

Mad Boys Heather Long is a slow burn reverse harem romance. This is the second book in the Blue Ivy Prep series.

I absolutely love Heather's books! She does an amazing job pulling in from the first chapter and keeping me hooked until the very end. I don't want to give any spoilers away. So, I will just say I am loving the chemistry between KC, Jonas, Lachlan, and Ramsey. I really enjoyed getting all of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

The book ended on an amazing cliffhanger that left me begging for more. I can't wait for the next book in the series Party Crashers to be released on June 27, 2023.

I would highly recommend this book if you like contemporary romances, reverse harem romances, or bully romances.

Book was Pointless

This book really didn't advance the plot.
It was just fluff.
No character development beyond maybe a friendship.
No backstory telling.
This was purely a money grab of fluff. Please do not easte your time.

Book 2 in the Blue Ivy Prep series!!!

I was very excited to get my hands on an ARC and first want to thank Heather Long for the opportunity to be among the first to read it.

I was very much looking forward to what happened after the cliffhanger that was book one. Loved that this book was KC and the guys POV. Being able to see what was going on in their heads and how much the guys characters developed was my favorite. Lachlan is definitely my favorite but Jonas's development in this book was fantastic.

Poor KC has SO much shit to deal with and this book does not lack the drama. Can't wait to see what unfolds in book 3!

Real Rating: 3.5 / 5 Stars

I loved the first installment of this series, Problem Child, so much I knew I wanted to get to the next book in the series as soon as I could. I was downright greedy for more of KC, her friends, and the mercurial boys in her life…especially after that cliffhanger ending!

So I went into Mad Boys hoping it would be as fast-paced, exciting, and event-filled as the first book, even if it meant putting up with even more slow burn (yeah, yeah, I’m a thirsty girl and I have a hard time with slow burns in contemporary romances in this age group. It’s a thing and I acknowledge it). That’s not what I got from the book. This, sadly, was a huge case of sophomore slump in a book series. I can’t pretend it’s all sunshine and roses and everything is superb in this book, because it’s not. It has a lot of problems. There is a lot to recommend, though!

KC’s character development has evolved between the first book and this one, and I’d say it’s for the better. While not outright hostile to people at Blue Ivy Prep, she does have a cynical bubble around her now due to the events of the last book and because of current events in her personal life. If you thought she had trust issues before, well, now her trust issues have trust issues and she’s not afraid to straight-up NOPE out of a situation if she thinks it’s only going to lead to something bad. Aubrey has also gone through some character growth due to what went on with KC and the pressure their record label is putting on them to work on their new album. And the most positive character change between books one and two was Jonas, who went from being madly in love with KC but being unable to speak to her except to leave sheet music for her in the first book to being able to speak to her but being very shy and reserved in this book.

But there were a whole lot of issues with the book, too: a huge plot hole that may have solved the central mystery of this book if only two of the guys remembered one cringe morning in their apartment, deliberate miscommunications, immature reactions, immature measures, and a lot of repetitive scenes. Then there’s the fact that I can’t suspend my disbelief enough to think that the guys wouldn’t have thought to search on their own to see if they had any other step-siblings in the world, considering their stepfather isn’t keen on keeping it zipped.

Heather Long is a gifted writer when it comes to characters, especially the female ones, and that’s one of the reasons I show up. Her premises and plots are another reason I come to read. I just think this book was a hiccup in the series, which I’m looking forward to continuing.

I was provided a copy of this title by the author. All views, thoughts, and opinions expressed herein are mine and mine alone. Thank you.

If you haven't read 'Problem Child' STOP, go back and read it first. This series needs to be read in order.

At the end of the last book, Kaitlin makes a startling discovery at parent's weekend. Her mother couldn't make it and sent Johnny instead which was nice, what wasn't was seeing her father. At first thinking he came for her, the truth comes out two-fold as she realizes he's here for Ramsey, Lachlan and Jonas, they are her stepbrothers.

For the guys they are stunned to realize she didn't know they were her stepbrothers, but also don't understand why she treats her father the way she does.

The picture Ramsey paints in the first chapter of this book is not the one we have from Kaitlin. We also get a look at how much their mother dislikes Kaitlin, never a nice word there only viciousness.

We get to see Frankie and Ian at the beginning of this one too. I love their relationship with KC, Aubrey and Yvette. I found it very interesting that Dix is the one who sneaks Kaitlin out to dance in clubs. Even more interesting when Lachlan outs her and then things go sideways.

Summer over and everyone is settled back in the dorms. Ramsey as an RA, Jonas a senior with his own suite and KC and Aubrey in the same one as the previous year. Lachlan shows up and is now rooming with Ramsey as Jonas isn't having him anywhere near him.

Not even a full night and fire breaks out in one of the girl's dorms. Ramsey takes charge as buildings are evacuated. Everyone is safe but not totally unharmed.

Payton shows her true colors in this book, she is obsessed with Ramsey, Lachlan and Jonas, even though they want nothing to do with her.

With housing limited on campus and Kaitlin and Aubrey assigned to a room with Payton things have to change rapidly. Jonas offers the empty room in his suite to Kaitlin and she accepts. This gets her away from the danger that is Payton.

I thought Kaitlin had been through a lot in the last book, but seriously this book goes to another level. I really loved that a friendship was beginning with Jonas, and that Ramsey makes headway as well. Lachlan really has a ninja problem that Kaitlin finds amusing though.

So much happens I can't even begin to express how appalled I am at some of the behavior aimed at Kaitlin. I can't even say more without giving stuff away and I won't do that.

I couldn't put this book down; it wasn't a short book and it also has one heck of an ending. When's that next book again?

I consumed this book via Audiobook

Time: 11hrs 1min

Duet Narration: Michelle Sparks, JF Harding, Lucas Allen

Multi first person POV

Book 2 out of 4 of Blue Ivy Prep series ( completed series )

WE GET MULTI POV!!  Not only is the audiobook a duet but with Multi POV   yes we love that * chefs kiss*

There's lots of random side plots in this book, which is fine, I enjoyed them, you can tell they are there for slow character building.

The MMCs make we want to eye roll myself into another dimension sometimes. They are kind of... dumb , clueless  But I'll have to say, our silent MMc , douchebag1, Aka hot shot, Aka Jonas aka the best out of the 3 Brothers . Is my fave. I love him but Lochlan can kick rocks. He's annoying.  Ramsey is .. im unsure about him

So as we found out at thr end of book 1 * stop reading this if you haven't read book 1*  we not only find out that the douchbags 3 are brothers but also the step brothers to KC.
I'm not the biggest fan of family/step family romance tropes so it was a surprise for me  HOWEVER this one is done in a way that I think would be a good starter for those who want to dip their toes into that. ( KC never met her step siblings before she went to blue Ivy and vice versa, there's no relationship and they are only step siblings through marriage , her Dad and their mom )

4⭐️ I really enjoyed this. I was kept interested the whole story. The characters were interesting and entertaining.

1.5🌶 supper slow burn but it's starting to pick up more

4⭐️🗣 narrators did a great job. There's lots of side characters in this book aside from the main ones and you could really tell who was who.

I really enjoyed this book and I can't wait to see where the story takes us. I recommend this book for someone who wants to dip their toes into a bully style / step brother romance and would be a great starter for someone. It is also why choose so the FMC is interested in more than 1 person.

Cliffhanger? ✅️

Tropes: rockstar why choose romance, academy, bully, secret society, stalker, suspense

KC is a gorgeous girl with haunted eyes and the voice of siren. She's always too busy for a relationship. Music seems to be the universal language between KC, Jonas, Lachlan and Ramsey. Even though everyone wants her, no one seems to be enough. The world owns her. KC has been judged and treated horribly. The guys may realize their mistake but is it too late? She deserves for them to fall to their knees and beg forgiveness. Will she be able to forgive them or will it be too much?

This book got me incredibly excited for this series. The bit of boredom I felt with the first book was no where to be found in this one. It was still slow burn but it sucked me in from the first page until the shocking cliffhanger. I loved the multiple POVs. The more authors that add more than one POV to their books, the happier I get. The characters developed deeper connections while the plot kept me glued to my kindle. I found it hard to put it down for even a minute. Between the sexual tension to the suspense and questions that still need answers, I stayed perched on the edge of my seat. I can't wait to see where the author takes us in the last two books. If you are a lover of music-obsessed romance in a why choose format then I highly recommend this read. This is my honest opinion, freely given.

What have you done Heather?? The plot is moving at amazing speed with so much happening all in and around. Characters are growing so beautifully and their circumstances are addressed gracefully, not even at one point I felt anything negative even in bad situations it was always something or the other positive going on. I am admiring how the story went from book one to book two and it grew in a more interesting manner.

I am reading Heather’s books one by one and I find something new in each. I really love this series, Problem Child was an amazing setup for the start of a series and it takes interesting turns in the second book, Mad Boys, and even matches the title too. I got some answers to the questions from the first book and now I have a few more which will be answered probably in book three. The cover of this book has Jonas on it.

I have some strong theories about Gib's current wife and how he’s missing out on so many things. I might be wrong but I think the chances of it are pretty low. It’s all jumbled right now, KC is suffering from it and she has been this way since she was a kid. KC’s character speaks volumes and compelled me to love her even more. She’s fierce, bold, emotional, supportive, and fun-loving.

Brothers are Douchebags but their personality is pretty caring, they don’t see eye to eye on many topics but they are there when it matters the most, and KC matters. Slowly they are realizing and sorting out their feelings for her and it’s entertaining to see them squirm. The things they did to keep her safe just touched my heart and the end was quite surprising and left me speculating about what will happen next.

Aubrey and Yvette are the backbones for KC just as KC is for them both. I am glad KC has someone in her corner and they both loved her unconditionally. Their bond is so sacred and I loved how Aubrey came onto boys with a no-bullshit attitude. I want to see how she does in her life. All in all, do read this series, it’s totally worth the time we spend reading it. The story is consuming and appreciates it the most.

Mad for Mad Boys

6/5 Extra Star i enjoyed this book so very much. I stayed up so late on a work night reading it. I picked it up couldn't put it down until 3:30 a.m. And I had to be up at 6:30am. And it was so worth it. It was such an enjoyable experience I got home and read the last bit and went to sleep and happily dreamed of the book.

This book takes the first book and just runs with it. This book we get the guys POVs and we really get to know who they are and reasoning for why they thought what they did last book well some, and see them start to really see KC for who she is and to start falling for each other more. But our girl KC doesn't let the guys off easily. She's a strong FMC that knows her mind. We get a lot of action at the start of the book. I love the balance of suspense, stalker drama, secret society, family stuff, questioning motivations of characters, along with the relationship building and all that comes with attending school as a star in the public eye who gets a tough time in the tabloids.

Heather Long is an elite author. Her writing is amazing the way that she develops characters, progresses the story and just has like all the little details that add up to make such a spectacular book. The characters have great chemistry, The story is top-notch, And she really puts you in the world of the book. I liked the ending, I thought it was powerful, and makes me excited for the next book. Keep reading at the end for the blurb of book 3 which is one of the povs of the guys. Perfect way to get the mindset going into the next book.
This series is happily my obsession💙 Highly Recommend

🔥 - Review:
Okay, first of all I'd just like to say, whew this book was quite a good ride. From start to beginning I was hooked. Especially since this time around we got the guys perspective's vs the first book which only had KC's. I truly loved reading the guys POV's since it helped me understand them more. Because at first I just hated them with a passion.

Now that I've gotten a bit more background on the guys I think I'm staring to like them. Kind of, sort of. I have a favorite which is unusual for me in a why choose book but we'll see.

Again, this book is really good. Definitely different than the others books that I have read. I binged books 1 & 2 in very few days and it was definitely worth it. Unfortunately it only makes it that much more painful to wait till June 27th for the book Party Crashers which is book 3.

❄️ Quick Notes:
Cheating: No.
OM/OW Drama: Yes, both.
Virgin Hero/Heroine: No.
Trope: Why Choose, Secret Society, Prep School, SLOW BURN, damsel in distress
HEA: No. (This is book 2/4)

Mad Boys, bk 2, in the Blue Ivy Prep series starts off with a different POV of what went down at the end of Problem Child and I am living for the scenes that are coming from the DBag 3 perspectives. I feel that as well as adding depth to the story, it also serves to give us a fuller character evolution of them and I am here for all of that!!!

KC can't seem to catch a break. She has got to be one othe most resilient peope on the planet. School, stalkers, the media, family issues, career choices, as well as DBag 1, 2 and 3. There are only so many hours in a day. I dont know how she does it, I would be on the floor in the fetal position.
But she proves time and time again that she is an absolute queen, she dusts herself off and gets back to business. I want to be KC when I am all growed up.

The DBags 3 are finally working out that not is all it appears to be and are starting to form their own opinions on certain things and I can't wait for that to happen. I'm still not sure how I feel about Dix, he still feels a little off to me although not quite as much as in Problem Child, maybe I have grown used to him. IDK. I'm going to reserve further judgement on him. I knew RJ was sketchy from day 1, I just didn't realise how much so. WOW!!! Didn't see that one coming. KC's parent are enigmas. I can't decide if her Mum is really that flaky and if her Dad is such a deadbeat to her and her siblings but I can't wait for that family reunion!!! It'sgoing to be epic!!!

In typical fashion, I now have more questions and I can't wait for Party Crashers. Bring on more Blue Ivy Prep please!!!

I loved the first book 'Problem Child' but this one is even better. With this one we also get the guys's pov which is even better to read because OMG :D it's amazing.

KC is going back for her second year now knowing that these guys are her step-brothers and they lied to her. So she is making them work for it and i was so here for it. She made them grovel their asses off ;D. I feel for her so much, even tho she's so young, she's had so many problems and difficulties in life already that she just wanted to try and be 'normal' but it gets worse before it gets better ( i hope for her) I loved reading about how her relationships with the guys changed, how they were really trying their best for her even tho they judged her before. I can understand that she has trouble letting people in and that when she does, it backfires which is so sad.

It's a slow burn, but it made me so giddy everytime she had interactions with the guys. It does pick up towards the end and again ends with a scene that makes we WANT to read the next one. I'm so here for it because i can't get enough of Kc and her amazing friends and the guys.

This series is quick becoming a favourite. Mad Boys kicks off where Problem Child leaves is and I enjoyed this one more because we get the boys’ POV!!!!!!!

I loved learning more about these complex characters and their lives. The boys’ mother is horrible, almost on par with KC’s. Learning about their life outside of the school was really eye opening and developed their characters so much more.

The stalker plot became a bit more prominent in this book and it seems to be bubbling away. Adding in the secret society was a fun twist and opens up so many questions!!

I adore the relationship budding between KC and Jonas they are a delight whenever they are on the page together!

Can’t wait for the next one!
