I love Pokemon and I enjoyed the first few Pokemon Adventures manga stories but this one was absolutely ridiculous. First of all the overly complex design of some of these legendary pokemon look terrible, especially in black and white...half the time I don't know what I'm looking at...is that it's head, it's leg, it's body...is that the pokemon or is it the weird spaceship thing.

Secondly Pokemon was enough of a sci fi fantasy adventure without adding in concepts like a reverse world in another dimension. And they didn't explain it at all, what is it...why does it exist? what's there is it just an empty world with 1 Pokemon in it? How did that arrangement happen?

Also the story was a hamfisted political story about pollution. The villain is trying to destroy the world because humans polluted it, Shaymin is introduced as a pokemon that can suck up pollution...at one point they have everyone joining together to "stop the glacier." It's all just so transparent and silly. It makes sense though I've seen Pokemon as a whole criticized for the way it depicts a world where people serve the interests of animals rather than the other way around and if that's the case I can see enviro-propaganda being a logical step. However all of that would be forgivable if it was a good story or was done well but it wasn't. I think I'll be sticking with the gen 1 and 2 stories.

This book is about a two legendary Pokemon Shaymin & Giratina. Shaymin is a grass pokemon with two forms, Land and Sky. Sky adds its flying duo. Shaymin lives in peaceful fields of flowers until Girantina gets in a fight with Dialga, resulting in Shaymin being dragged into the reverse world. When Shaymin is discovered by Ash, Brock and Dawn, they get sent teleporting in Girantina’s Portals between the real world and the reverse world. Team Rocket and a weird man named Zero want to grab hold of Shaymin, Even Girantina itself has a little pursuit. It all ends with the Glaciers almost destroying the fields and Zero’s ship crashing and Girantina being released.

This is probably the best book ever I read in the history of me. It gives me a lot of suspense and some weird dimensions, Also I really like Pokemon, which you didn't know because I was trying to keep it secret.
