I was heavily invested in Tatum’s story right after her man ended it with her after being together for 9 years. I was interested in what tools she might’ve used to get adjusted to living a new life. I think I would’ve wanted to see more of her having to slowly make the changes of building a new life away from Mason.
I enjoyed the author getting to the “ok? What’s wrong with this couple being together?” Answer. As a reader you automatically think about all the things that could go wrong especially since Mason is a widower.
I liked seeing the friendship and family dynamic between everyone and that’s one of the effects of being in a small town. 😊. Also, the conflict was being talked out in this story ok and I loved it.
The way that Mason came correct about Tatum (ofc before that situation before the family😂) made me love him anymore and really had me shipping Tatum and Mason hard!
The fauther-daughter relationship being Mason and Micah melted my heart. You could tell she loved her dad.
This book gives you all of the emotions and
Overall I enjoyed the book! I would recommend you read it.

Wow. This was one smexually charged couple. Tatum and Mason. Tatum fresh out of a breakup I kind of felt like she was rebounding while desperately trying not to get caught up. But also she and Masons relationship she tried to push away from for all the wrong reasons and it was a little annoying how she would get close cause tension and then run off. I feel like her character although young was just so childish. But she was trying hard to ruin a good thing in my opinion. Mason single dad and widower took his time grieving and even Micah understood that it was time to move forward never forgetting her mother but still living a full life. But he held himself back and was way too ambitious smexually. Almost overly so. Consenting adults, good but it feels as if that was the base of their relationship and there was no real depth. Overall it was a good story I personally would have liked more of a connection besides physical attraction. Even the relationship between Tatum and Micah was good but it was centered on how Tatum dated her dad and how she would make her dad happy. The story was good and entertaining however it didn’t keep me.

A public breakup after nine years! And the cherry on top? He kicks her out.
All Tatum wants to do is head back to her loved ones in Rosa Oaks.
Mason's a single dad who has a crush on his best friend's younger sister. Mason wanted to talk to her before but at the time, she was with someone else. Well now she's single and his daughter is away at her grandparents so he can devote his time to her completely.
As they talk, she doesn't know why but she feels like she can bare her soul to him, and she does. He makes her feel like she's never felt before. Special, free spirited, beautiful and good about herself as a woman. And soon, the firefighter turns a spark into a four alarm fire!
He wakes the next morning to find her gone. Was she just using him for a rebounder?
Tatum is thinking that she just needs to get her head together and Mason, well Mason was just something, someone she needed at the time. She's only staying for a month. Maybe they could keep it light and just both enjoy it?
When she suggests it to him, he's all for the plan. When by chance a job opportunity opens up for her, can two broken hearts trust enough again to realize that it's more than a fling?
If they do, can true love strike twice in one's life?
These two are just what each other needs. It's a shame what she went through waiting for love and I'm so glad she found herself and voiced what she wanted as well as treatment she wouldn't accept.
I fell in love with Mason and I really liked how he treated her and made her feel. When he spoke up for her, he should have stepped up too instead of ghosting her. He lost a few points with me for that one but he redeemed himself.
Sometimes, more often than not, in-laws need to butt out, but since they worked it out, it ended in an HEA.
I enjoyed their story and I recommend this one!

The Rosa Oaks series just keeps getting better and better with each book!

I so enjoyed this one. Tatum and Mason were so sweet together from the get-go. I loved that he was constantly building her up and treating her so well. They also made a great little family together. All the little moments Tate and Micah shared together were so freaking precious and it made for a very sweet read.

The found family vibes in this series are stellar! Everyone is so loving and the gossip and banter makes it really fun. Getting to see all the characters from previous books and see how they’re faring is always a good time.

This was pretty spicy for such a short book too! Mason had quite the filthy mouth!

Overall this is the kind of book you want when you’re looking for warm, fuzzy, low angst romance. It was such a feel-good story and I already can’t wait for the next one!

Tatum just got out of a nine year relationship and was not looking for anything serious. That is until she saw Mason Byrd at a bar, and the two were drawn to each other. It was just supposed to be a summer fling with no strings attached. Light and fun. Of course, it turned into something more.

Mason is a widowed single dad firefighter. He believes that you can only find love once in your life, Tatum has him question this.

Micah, his daughter, is his number one priority. The moments between them were just heartwarming. I absolutely adored Micah. She was sassy and smart.

Tatum is a sweet and kind 6th grade teacher whose heart is somewhat jaded after her breakup. Mason lifts her spirits and shows her how a man should treat a woman.

The relationship Tatum formed with Mason's daughter Micah was beautiful. She was not trying to be a replacement mother and formed a true connection with her.

Tatum and Mason had great chemistry. Mason couldn't keep his hands off of her. Teralyn Mitchell knows how to write spice. It was hot. I was blushing so much while reading it.

I highly recommend this book.

Thank you to Teralyn Mitchell for an ARC of this title.

Mason and Tatum have stolen my heart!
Splintered Hearts is an absolute gut punch of a book in the best way. It's got all the romance and spice you would expect from this series but it is also an emotional journey to a beautiful HEA.
Mason is a single dad raising his pre-teen daughter following the death of his wife and childhood sweetheart. Tatum is the newly found sister of Mason's friend and is recently dumped by her boyfriend of 9 years. When these two collide their chemistry is electric. But what makes this story stand out is the way both Mason and Tatum handle their grief and learn how to love and let others in again. This book left me with such a hangover and will go down as my favorite in the Rosa Oaks series.

Many thanks to the author for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

First book by this author.
I was hooked from the prolonged when Tatum's boyfriend of 9 years breaks up with her.
She runs to her BFF and brother's place.
Mason is a widower of 5 years and has a wonderful daughter.
These two are very attracted to each other. Their sexiness is off the charts.
While I love the relationship between Mace and his daughter Micah; and Tatum's relationship with Micah, I think Mace and Tate jumped in rather quickly.
I guess in my head Tatum would have needed some time to get over her long term relationship that just ended.
I also felt that their relationship was based on sex and not much more. Overtime things changed.
I understood the reaction of his dead wife's family. I loved the letters.

An emotional ride of love, loss, and finding love again.

Tatum and Mason connect when she lands in Rosa Oaks after a long term relationship turns sour. Mason who’s a friend of her brothers and part of her best friend’s circle is a widower with an impressionable adolescent daughter, Micah.

Tatum and Mason have a summer fling that ends when his daughter returns from her grandparents home and Tatum returns to Chicago to find another teaching position. But things change quickly when Tatum ends up back in Rosa oaks as Micah’s new teacher.

I loved the characters of this story, and I think it’s the most emotionally charged one in the series, but there is a tear-filled happy ending for the couple and Micah.

💎ARC REVIEW..💎 *no spoilers*

Everyone grieves differently..

When love is lost and new love is found you will second guess yourself and sometimes isolate yourself.. but to open yourself up can be such a beautiful thing.. this read had me in my feelings something serious.. to say I wanted to protect Tate is an understatement.. the way I cried 89% in.. whew! Highly recommend.

This is a special kind of book.. not only is tate so relatable and such a beautiful soul you can feel while reading.. then you add in mason such an amazing father and friend and Micah such a refreshing young lady.. this could seriously be a lifetime movie.. and we love those..!

Such a fun read.. I’m looking forward to reading more..

I absolutely loved this other addition to the Rosa Oaks series. The characters are very well rounded, have depth & feel real. I love all the books in this series I've had the pleasure to read. Nothing is more heartwarming then children in books too, even if they are testy like teenagers, but when a significant other is accepting of a the child/children from a previous relationship it's very commendable. The strength of the single parent/guardian is also something very admirable to me. Five Stars☆☆☆☆☆
■I was fortunate to be provided with an ARC directly from the lovely & gracious Author, thank you T.M.♡■

Overall: 3.5
Spicy:3

This is the third book in the series. From the intro at the end of the 2nd book, I knew I was going to enjoy it. This book, unlike the other two, started with a bang..literally, then built on the friendship/relationship. This was different and I didn't feel the connection, as you do with the other couples. The struggles you go through finding love after the loss of a loved one and how to balance moving on and honoring your loved one. As the story line continues you do feel the connection the MC's have for each other and know they are meant for each other.

ARC Review

It was a quick and easy read. The majority of the relationship development felt like it was between Tatum and Micah, and her a Mason’s connection was all chemistry. It was pretty spicy for such a short and sweet read. I personally would have enjoyed a little more effort on Mason’s part, it felt like even in that someone else did the work for him. Mitchell is a new to me author so I’m not sure if her stories are all like this but it’s the type of read that is good for cleansing your palette between heavier or darker reads.

ARC Review - Teralyn Mitchell doesn’t miss!! Each book. I swear I love that couple’s love story the most, and then there’s another couple in the next book that I simply fall in love with! People often talk about finding love after loss or trauma and this book shows how that love can be identified and grown if the individuals are eventually open to it. There was some drama, but it complements the story versus takes away from the story. Read this book if you love love and believe that everyone can have it!

Thank you so much for this ARC! 🖤

There's something about books with a single parent that makes me tear up or cry every time, and this one didn't let me down 🤣 Mason and Tatum's story was so full of love and healing 🥹

It was short, sweet, and spicy, and now I have to read the rest of the books in the series because I want to know how the other couples got together 🤣🖤

**ARC review** - Such a cute fluffy read! I love the idea of finding love again Mason totally deserved it. Both, Mason and Tatum have past drama and was glad to see them over come these obstacles to find true love again. Mason’s late wife letter to both of them was so heartfelt that it made me teary eyed! Book is also spicy

This book tugged on my heart strings from the start. Mason & Tatum are everything! Representation at its peak in this read; life after loss, mental health, surviving a narcissist & much more. I connected with Tatum from chapter one & rose that rollercoaster to the very end. This has easily become a read I know I’ll go back to without a doubt.

I was excited to read this cause I like a good friends to lovers but again, it feels like the story goes from zero to one hundred very fast and you are left to mend the pieces yourself. There’s not enough rapport for me to buy into the relation dynamic and it’s again too many characters to pick up on.

Third in the series and they haven't gotten any better for me. The plots always have promise but the writing is flat, simplistic, and choppy. Everything is communicated through dialogue and is often repetitive across POVs. No strong personalities developed beyond their life circumstances, little relationship development outside of mostly physical attraction.

Such a good book. Tatum and Mason are so cute. There is so much more going on and they aren't willing to admit their feelings yet. I hope there will.be so much more of them. Spice is a 10.
