FANFUCKINGTASTIC
Yes I swore. In bold and Italic SHOUTY CAPITALS. I will do it a lot more in this so read no further if you don’t like it.
I mean come on I just read the goddess/fucking genius/ amazeballsness that is Lorelei James latest book.
I have been waiting to get my LJ's Rough Riders fix for what feels like FOREVER!
So when I woke up and turned on “Chase” (my kindle) and saw that it was finally there it was the BEST.DAY.EVER.! I abruptly took myself to the beach and parked my ass to get my read on!
It was sooooo good to be back with all things McKay. God I love this family! DAYYMMNNNN they have some great genes! And exceptional skills in and out of the bedroom!
I loved the special guest appearances. My favourite from this series as everyone knows is Chase (You could prob tell by the name of my kindle!). So the fact that he “popped in” just made my day and I couldn’t wipe the smile off my face!
“Omigod! Is this really Chase Mckay? World champion bullrider? Callin me? I’m so Honoured!”
“Yes it is, and why don’t you just go ahead and pucker up to kiss my famous butt for that smart ass comment.”
But it wasn’t just Chase that appeared, Keely, AJ, Indy, Colt, Cord, Kyler, Domini, Chassie, Trevor, Edgard, Casper, Jessie, Brandt, Dalton, Kane, Kade, Colby, Quinn, Ben.. Yeah you get my point!
So by book 13 we pretty much know how it goes down. They get together, hook up, have amazing sex EVERYWHERE and make me have a million showers and sport "lady wood" like a teenager. Realise they are in love, then fight, then get back together and have a HEA. (and by the next book have 7 million kids! LOL)
Ok so not exactly, but I’m not far off right? But I am NOT bagging it. I love these books!
The in between story was sooo good throughout all this though.
The prologue starts with Tell in high school and totally and hopelessly in love with Georgia “Hotlips” Hotchkiss. She is the cheerleader with the Jock boyfriend. Tell is not the suave, funny, hot cowboy he is today. He is a typical teenager in love with something he can’t have.
Then jumps to the now. Tell has got it going on! He is keeping the wild McKay men spirit alive.
Tell slowly turned around on his barstool to see a red headed woman glaring down at him. Aw, hell. Not again. He remembered he’d done a little mattress dancing with this cutie last year, but he couldn’t recall her name. “Hey, pretty lady.”
She rolled her eyes. “Does that work for you? The “hey pretty lady” when you can’t remember a woman’s name after you slept with her?”
Tell grinned. “Yep”
The woman opened her mouth, no doubt about to read him his riot act, but he jumped in to head her off.
“Now , don’t go getting all indigent, darling’. We both had a great time-that part I can remember. I told you up front that’s all it’d be.”
She cocked her head and smiled. “I’m Jamie.”
See what I mean?

Definitely has a silver tongue.
Definitely suave as shit.
Definitely all man.
Georgia is forced to come home for work reasons. She is doing PR on the rodeo’s.
She also realises that it coincides with her 10 year reunion. She doesn’t want to see her ex-husband. Or anyone else for that fact. Her best friend Stephanie convinces her that she should go, and she should go with Tell. As her Ex and Tell hate each other.
Georgia decides that she should and finally gets some balls and asks him. His response?!
ALL ALPHA MCKAY!
(ok I’ve condensed it but you get my point)
“You are right, I did come to the bar tonight looking for you to ask if you’re going to the class reunion in 2 weeks, and do you have a date?”
Why did his heart rate speed up. “Not yet. Why?”
She blurted, “Will you be my date?”
After the shock wore off, Tell leaned forward. “For real Georgia?”
“For real. I hadn’t planned on going to the reunion. What a fun way to spend an evening, dealing with the stares, rude comments and whispers about why Deck and I divorced. Or hearing about a tragedy it was that RJ got killed drink driving.”
“So what changed your mind?”
“Because you know how to have fun. And if I went with you, I might have a chance at having fun.”
“Your change of heart about revisiting glory days isn’t because Deck hates my guts and it’d be hard poke at him to show up with me on your arm?”
“Okay. Maybe that’s part of it. And you have to admit it would be great bit of drama if we showed together.”

“You want me as your date for the reunion. You’ll also be sharing my bed.” Tell said matter of factly.
“Why are you so shocked?” You expected I’d be happy just holdin’ your hand and smelling your hair? Nothing comes for free. We’ll be lovers. Not friends. There’s your deal. Take it or leave it.”
“No room for negiation?”
“Nope.”
He finished his beer and slid out of the booth. “Let me know when you decide, but I wouldn’t take too long to make up my mind, sweetness, because you aren’t the only woman who’s asked me to be their reunion date.”
Tell walked away.

Tell drained his beer and set the bottle aside, meeting her halfway. “You came back?”
“Yes.”
“Why?”
“There’s something….compelling about you, Tell. There always has been. I couldn’t stay away.”
He bit back a growl. “You know what that means?”
“Yes, I do.”
“Say it Georgia. Out loud”
“You’ll be in my bed or I’ll be in yours. Either way we’ll be lovers.”
AND LET THE FUN BEGIN!! and OH is there FUN to be had!
While there is fun there are a few issues that have run from the other books. How the boys are doing with the land now that the older generations have stepped back. Brandt, Tell and Dalton’s parents separation. Casper’s new found faith. Georgia’s past.
So long review short. This book is awesome. LJ is a genius and you won’t look at rocky road, butterscotch, cookie dough, chocolate or caramel swirl ice cream again without smirking….
But I GUARANTEE you won’t be able to look at one of these without a devilish grin and a twinkle in your eye EVER AGAIN!!!

3 stars! First half…2 lackluster stars, second half…4 okay now we’re getting somewhere stars!
As much as it pains me to say it, this book was…meh! I love the Rough Rider series and Lorelei James’ writing, but the first half of the book was a little silly, repetitious and just so boring that I nearly stopped reading. Lots of sex and lusting, nearly every chapter, but no heart to the story. Somewhere around the middle of the book, when the McKay’s, and I mean all the McKay’s, made their way into the story, that’s when it picked up for me.
Overall it wasn’t a horrible read, maybe it was just my mood and I was so distracted thinking about Chase and his chaps! Hoowee…I’m just sweating thinking about those chaps and my Chase!! I wanted that kind of passion in this read, that kind of chemistry between Georgia and Tell, a story I could sink my teeth into and when it finally turned around, it was nearly too late!

This story basically followed the same plot line that over half of this series has followed.
HOT MCKAY MAN: Looking for his next score because that’s what McKay men do. They have sex. A lot.
HEA GIRL: Walks up to Hot McKay Man and notices his what? That’s right, black hair and blue eyes. And his muscles.
HOT MCKAY MAN: (to HEA girl) Whoa there darlin’. You look like you might need somethin’ from me. I can help you with whatever you need but you will be in MY bed every night in return.
HEA GIRL: Have hot rough sex to get what I want? Sure! That doesn’t sound whorish at all!
In walks a McKay clan with their 20 children in tow saying horribly mushy things to each other for no other reason than to make a cameo.

Of course it was a cute story and there were hot sex scenes but I was hoping for something more from this book. I still love Lorelei James’ writing and her characters. I will definitely continue read about those hot McKay boys who seem to be trying to overpopulate the state of Wyoming.

3.00 Stars - Contemporary Western Erotic Romance

This one was too predictable. Not much thrilling or exciting or nail-biting going on around here. Somewhere along the line it had nothing new to add. The blurb says it all. You pretty much understand and know where things were going and where it’ll all end up. But, having said that, Ms James is a superb writer who knows how to put words in the right direction to make a less than ordinary story into a work of western art.
Few previous characters revisit. There are slight mentions of pretty much every leads in the previous books but nothing worth knowing or missing. The love scenes were signature Lorelei James styled and were quite a lot in number. No surprise!
Then why did I give the book a 3.00-star rating even if it had a little too predictable and below ordinary plot? Because of Ms James’s flawless writing which once again created authentic setting of the modern life western scenarios with genuine depiction of family values, passionate blistering intense romance, love and LIFE.

#13 read and I still love the series as much as I did when I first started. These books continue the story of the infamous McKay family while focusing on an individual cowboy. I love that the characters from the other books carry over and you get to see what all our favorite rowdy cowboys are up to. I loved getting to know Tell & Georgia. I knew he would be a favorite of mine just by the glimpses in the other books, and I was not dissapointed. As usual, Jame's characters are well developed, the story is scorching without losing the story, and she leaves you wondering where the hell are these cowboys in real life?

5 Kissin’ Tell Stars
I had to take a series break; I binged read this series a while ago and have picked up a book here and there.
And I am glad I did, it’s a big series and I think taking the break made me appreciate the books so much more.
Tell was always a character I wanted to see get a HEA, so when I started the book and it was a high school crush I swooned. Who doesn’t love a story where the one you mooned over so hard in high school then become your soul mate? Sigh right!!
I wasn’t sure what to expect from Georgia if I am being honest, I didn’t have much of a nice opinion of her when she was in high school the way the book makes her seem she was just a taker and no one likes a taker. But you see she isn’t like that now and she has grown into the person she wanted to be.
Her story is sad but I think she came out better than ever for it.
I am glad Tell took the chance with her because his feelings and strength gave him the best surprise of his life. Someone to love and to be loved in the way he had seen from his other family members but never felt himself.
I really have enjoyed Rebecca’s narration in all of these books she kills it with her male voice, there are only a handful of females who can pull of the male voice so well and she is one of them.

Georgia and Tell sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G”…..if you remember that little ditty from when you were a kid and how much fun you had singing it with your friends, then the latest installment of the Rough Rider series will have you smiling and feeling just like a kid again! Lorelei James did not disappoint with the fun-loving Tell McKay!
I had so much fun with this book. It was light-hearted, fun, filled with HOT McKay sex and, of course an HEA! Tell brought out a side of Georgia that she never thought existed. She was an uptight, lonely woman when she came back to Sundance, Wyoming but found her inner child and love when she let Tell into her life. From the pick-up basketball game to the zip-line and the trampoline ….. from the ice-cream to the sprinkler system ….. and, oh-my-God, the Class reunion, the fun does not stop and Ms. James brings it all together with hot sex, a little BDSM and lots and lots of high school fantasies finally played out.
I loved the flashbacks to high school and seeing the dorky side of Tell and then Georgia’s realization that she really did treat him like a love-sick puppy dog for 3 years. It was wonderful watching them grow up and grow together. To see them open up to each other and learn to trust. Isn’t that was true love is really all about? Georgia’s frustration when Tell would not take her to bed and Tell leading her around and making her have fun was hysterical. I seriously smiled throughout this whole book.
A lot of issues were also brought out throughout the story. The McKay brothers and their father; the rest of the McKay’s finally taking Tell seriously; Georgia having to face her past, her father and her ex-husband; Luke and RJ’s deaths. Amazingly, even though these are “dark” issues, they were handled wonderfully, with tender-loving-care and brought the whole story together.
You will absolutely enjoy the 13th installment of the Rough Riders Series. You will laugh, you will cry, you will want to slap Tell in the head for being a jackass and then slap Georgia for not being honest. But, all in all, you will fall madly in love with Tell McKay when you see how much fun he is and his tender/gentle side.
Hopefully, Ms. James will not leave us hanging here…..there were a lot of story-lines left open and I cannot wait to see where she is taking us next. Hopefully, Dalton is next and we’ll find out if he truly does live up to the McKay name and lifestyle. I am sure Lorelei James will bring the inner bad-boy out in him and give him his HEA with a bang!

Tell and Georgia are perfect for each other and KISSIN' TELL is one of the best of the series! Two of my favorite characters in the series, they are loveable, fun and sexy!
Georgia and Tell sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G”…..if you remember that little ditty from when you were a kid and how much fun you had singing it with your friends, then the latest installment of the Rough Rider series will have you smiling and feeling just like a kid again! Lorelei James did not disappoint with the fun-loving Tell McKay!
I had so much fun with this book. It was light-hearted, fun, filled with HOT McKay sex and, of course an HEA! Tell brought out a side of Georgia that she never thought existed. She was an uptight, lonely woman when she came back to Sundance, Wyoming but found her inner child and love when she let Tell into her life. From the pick-up basketball game to the zip-line and the trampoline ….. from the ice-cream to the sprinkler system ….. and, oh-my-God, the Class reunion, the fun does not stop and Ms. James brings it all together with hot sex, a little BDSM and lots and lots of high school fantasies finally played out.
I loved the flashbacks to high school and seeing the dorky side of Tell and then Georgia’s realization that she really did treat him like a love-sick puppy dog for 3 years. It was wonderful watching them grow up and grow together. To see them open up to each other and learn to trust. Isn’t that was true love is really all about? Georgia’s frustration when Tell would not take her to bed and Tell leading her around and making her have fun was hysterical. I seriously smiled throughout this whole book.
A lot of issues were also brought out throughout the story. The McKay brothers and their father; the rest of the McKay’s finally taking Tell seriously; Georgia having to face her past, her father and her ex-husband; Luke and RJ’s deaths. Amazingly, even though these are “dark” issues, they were handled wonderfully, with tender-loving-care and brought the whole story together.

Tell was the scrawny, self-conscience kid growing up. He had a huge crush on Georgia, but she was dating the popular guy in class, Deck, the same guy that would beat on Tell every time he tried to spend a little time with Georgia, even if it was just helping her out by giving her a ride home. Georgia, even though she ran with the popular kids, was always thought of as being stuck up, but the truth was she was shy and not very outgoing and her best friend was her brother RJ. Ten years later, Georgia’s back in town on a summer work assignment and so much has changed: her brother is dead, her marriage to Deck ended years ago when she found him in bed with her dead brother’s fiancée. She’s back in town to prove that she’s not the same girl that left years ago, but she’s still not certain that she wants to go to their class reunion. But she and Tell come up with a plan. She’ll help him get more rodeo judging opportunities through her PR position and he’ll be her date to the reunion, showing all their old classmates that she’s moved past her cheating ex.
Tell is kind of the forgotten middle child. He works hard, plays hard, but no one in his family takes him seriously. The other McKay’s laugh off any ideas he has about their ranching business, his mom takes him for granted when she constantly asks him to drop everything and babysit his nephew. He’s trying hard to prove that he’s more than what they seem to see, but it’s a struggle. He still feels the sting of Georgia’s rejection from when they were kids and a few run ins with Deck results in Deck knowing just what buttons to push that hit Tell the hardest. I did feel for the guy. It’s hard living in a small town and getting out from under the impression that everyone has of you, regardless if it’s true or not. His relationship with Georgia helped him grow and also starting opening the eyes of others around him.
That said, I had a hard time getting into their relationship. It felt like they were still acting like insecure, over-emotional teens. Not communicating, assuming the worst, they went back and forth for much of the story until finally at the end, they starting acting like adults. It was just difficult to root for them because for as much as they talked about how they’re not the same people they were ten years ago, they still acted like it. Tell made a few bad decisions that reflected poorly on him and his character, and even though he knew what he was doing was wrong, it’s hard to like a hero that intentionally makes poor choices.
Georgia finished dressing and watched Tell tucking in his shirt and refastening his belt buckle. Something about getting dressed after experiencing such explosive heat together made her self-conscious of her rumpled state. She smoothed her hair and tugged her dress into place.
Then Tell was in her face, giving her the gentlest kiss while his fingers firmly held her chin. “Every time you get that embarrassed look, I’m gonna kiss it right off your pretty face. No matter where, no matter when, understand?”
He wasn’t being his playful, fun self. She wondered how many women knew this side of him. Rather than speculate, she just asked. “Are you always this intense after sex?”
The heat in his eyes didn’t dissipate. Tell slowly shook his head. “Apparently only with you.”
Oh man.
As always with this series, the sex is off the charts naughty, this story being no exception. There’s high school classroom sex at the reunion and trampoline sex just to name a couple and Tell, even though he might not be the most outgoing person, is pretty dominant in the bedroom. He knows what he likes and he knows how to push Georgia past her comfort zone. He also takes charge of bringing some fun into her life. Georgia had being living in Dallas previously and didn’t go out at all. Tell wouldn’t think twice about taking her to the movies, community events, putt-putt golf, anything to get her out and have a little fun. She really started living again, all thanks to Tell.
I enjoyed their interactions with their families, both of them needing to air out a few things, Georgia with her dad and Tell with his brothers. I liked seeing Georgia understand her dad a little better and giving him the chance to explain how things went wrong after RJ’s death and really talk things through. Tell had a few important conversations with both his brothers and it showed a little more how much his family is underestimating him in all aspects, but they all respect him, that much was clear and Tell needed to know it.
This was a good story, but it’s not my favorite in the series. Tell and Georgia took a long time to start acting mature about things, especially related to their relationship. Sure, much of their actions were driven from past insecurities, but I’d have liked to have them move past this sooner in the story, because once they talked and cleared the air about everything, they had some nice, romantic moments; just a little too late.

I attempted to read Kissin' Tell (Rough Riders #13) by Lorelei James this weekend. Ugh! I DNFed it. The "hero" was a man slut who couldn't remember the names of the women he slept with. The heroine was a horndog who was pissed at the hero for treating her with respect and consideration instead of boinking her the first chance he got. Ooooooo-kay. I hated them separately. I hated them together. I hated the storyline (a repeat of the same old "blackmail you into sleeping with me" thing that I've already seen by this author). This was awful. I had to read two back-to-back Stephanie Laurens to erase the memory from my mind. Yuck.
Grade: Couldn't Finish, Alternative reads: All Jacked Up or Strong, Silent Type are much, much better.

Tell McKay...how does he compare with all the other McKay cowboys?
Fran: I seem to have this problem everytime I read a Rough Riders book...Wanting to keep that particular McKay locked in my basement. But with Tell that actually means that he is closely vying for my favorite McKay spot. I have a thing for bad boys so Colt has always been a favorite of mine, then there's Jack who actually isn't a McKay, then Cord because holy hell he's hawt. But Tell has woven his way in there and now my order and priorities is all screwed up from wanting to ... ummmmm.... ok lets leave it at that. I loved him!
Suz: What I really like about the Rough Riders series is that each McKay is really different, the only thing they seem to have in common is their spectacular bedroom skills... must be in the McKay genes! And Tell was completely different from how I expected him to be, he had hidden depth. Although, he isn't my favourite McKay, that special accolade goes to Cord, Kane and Kade I still really liked him, he was could be intense but know how to have fun and he had mad sex skills...I will never look at a trampoline again in the same way.
What did you think of Georgia? Was she worthy of lassoing a McKay male?
Fran: I personally love stories about the geeky guy having a crush on a popular girl and then years after high school they get together. So I started off liking her already because she was never the mean girl. That being said she was ok. She wasn't a wimpy heroine but not too kick ass like I prefer them. But I actually think her personality worked with Tell very well.
Suz: I don't know why...but I never felt like I got that close to Georgia. She seemed nice and I liked that she let Tell bring out the adventurous side in her but I didn't feel any real connection to her like I have with LJ's previous gals.
What did you think of the relationship between Tell and Georgia?
Fran: Talk about some hot chemistry! Between Tells prowess in the bedroom, creative and no-holds-barred imagination and Georgia's open mind to trying anything, never saying no, going for what made her feel good and all her dirrrty talking...well they were amazing in the bedroom. But they actually complemented each other very well in their every day lives as well
Suz: They definitely had sizzling sexual chemistry! And more then that, I loved that they were able to be what the other needed, Georgia needed someone to help her let go and have fun, and Tell needed someone he didn't have to be the joker with.
Overall, what did you think of this installment of the Rough Riders series?
Fran: It was amazing. Sweet and a little kinky, with lots of teenage fantasies fulfilled which were extremely hawt. Probably one of my favorite books in the Rough Riders series. Tell has the perfect balance between sweet man and take charge alpha male, with plenty of game to bring to the ummm table ;) Definitely left me wanting more. And this book also left me wanting more Dalton. Yeah, like I said I have a thing for bad boys and when before he was pissing me off, now he's drawing me in like a fly. But alas, have to get Gavin first, no that I'm complaining. I'm excited and sad at the same time to see this series come to an end. Job well done, Ms. James!

Really 4.5 Stars
I love the Rough Riders series; these books are the ones I blame fully with my love (obsession) with Cowboys and the reason I should probably avoid Texas unless I want to be arrested. That being said, these last few have felt very different. That isn’t a bad thing, they just are. The earlier books are full of horn-dog men who grew up in a happy home but are now ready to settle down. The books that have featured Casper’s sons are nothing like that. These books show cowboys emotionally scarred by an emotionally and physically abusive father, who have had to fight for every bit of Cowboy pride that they have. They keep themselves away from the rest of the clan in a way the preceding cowboys never did, holding a little resentment against the rest of the family for their easy way of life. It gives the books a very different feel but they are no less enjoyable.
Tell’s book is very different in another way; in no way is Tell ready to settle down. Tell is a man who is all about the fun times. He sleeps with dozens of women, manages to charm them when they get pissed at him for not remembering their name and has no intentions of settling down. He is literally the teenage boy you’d shuck on the head and go “awww, you’re so naughty...” His attraction to Georgia hits him like a steam train, but it’s still more about sleeping with his teenaged obsession than the woman she has become. He is so quick to judge her on her past actions, so eager to find fault with her intentions that he pissed me right off. He wanted to strut around like a peacock with his new buff muscles and sexy moves, but he was unwilling to believe that anyone else could have changed too.
Georgia was a completely different character. People assumed that she had the easiest time in high school, but in order to try to fit in, she took considerable emotional poundings. I loved the way she faced all her fears and met with all those people who hated her in high school, trying to make them see she’d changed. I really enjoyed the way she started to bond with all the people of Sundance, having the kind of relationships that she had never really enjoyed before. I loved her girls nights out...those are the kind of evenings I enjoy But what I really liked the most was that she wanted people to like her, but wasn’t willing to allow them to make her bend in order to do so. She is the type of heroine I love in these novels; feisty, emotionally bruised and with a back-bone made of steel.
Tell and Georgia’s relationship was fun to read, but it took me a while to take them seriously as a couple. Tell was so insistent on them just being “fun”, that even I believed it! The sex was off the charts amazing (trampoline scene = INSPIRED!) but it was all about play-time. It is only after the emotional stuff starts to come out and slap them around the face that I started to see them as the missing piece to each other’s puzzle. What I found the most heart warming was the acceptance that they gave each other when they realised what their flaws truly were.
Cos this is a Rough Riders book, there is plenty of McKay man flesh around to keep me happy. With a fun-loving cowboy and a woman who is willing to experience ALL of the charms he has to offer, I got the ride I wanted. I loved Chase in this book too.... *sigh*, why aren’t these men real?

Wow. As usual James has given us another unique, exciting and passionate book. Georgia Hotchkiss had been forced by her boss to return the Sundance Wyoming. This is where she grew up in the shadow of her twin brother, now deceased. She has many ghosts to face and hopefully excize including an ex husband and his pregnant wife.

2 Stars for the front half I am nicknaming the "cheese section" for its cheesy dialog and clunky bits.
4 Stars for the back end which I am nicknaming the "yes please" section because it developed into a wonderful, signature LJ story that I've grown to love.
With this series, LJ offers something that's rarely tackled in fiction and even more rarely successful: She has developed a cohesive, true-to-life, familial, cultural and economic infrastructure and weaves it really well throughout each narrative in the series. Its a kind of an informal meta-narrative that develops and grows right along with the family.
Its very appealing.
I'm grateful I was sustained through the first half by my will to keep up with this oft-fabulous series.
And since my face didn't actually freeze into a cringe and my eyes didn't actually roll out of my head, I feel safe in recommending this to anyone who is already a fan of LJ and reading through the series.

I love Lorelei Jame’s writing style, and I how she wrote the steamy scenes between the characters. I’ve never read a book that involved ice cream in a scene and a trampoline in a different view. Yes, I typed trampoline. I still can’t stop thinking about both of those sex scenes…and those were just two. There are plenty more between Tell and Georgia that will have you curling your toes with excitement.
I recommend this book to anyone who loves reading western romance, erotica, and of course those ladies who love cowboys. This book definitely will make you want to “ride a cowboy instead of a horse.” =)
Be prepared for some mind-blowing sex scenes that will probably have you fantasizing your sexual fantasies after you read this book. =)

Oh how I've missed the McKay boys!! I loved Tell! I always love a "get the girl you loved in high school" story. It was a sweet and very steamy read! My only complaint was that in the end I wanted more!

Decent but not my favorite in the series. Tell was a bit of a let down in the McKay department and I thought Georgia wasn't a good match for him. They both seemed a bit immature, and at times I wondered if they'd ever left high school behind because they sure acted like teenagers instead of mature adults. Not a bad read but any means, just not my favorite. LJ is a favorite author so I'm just chalking this rating up to not liking the characters. 3 stars

I love Rough Riders. Not a single book in the series has disappointed me yet. And that’s surprising considering there are 13 so far. A lot of series with this many books start to feel repetitive. Every story Loralei James gives us is fresh, totally different plots, different characters, and always fun and steamy. I love them all!

Loved it! Tell was a great surprise. Both main characters were well developed and this story was steady with all the twists and updates in relation to the McKay clan. Looking forward to the next book in series. Highly recommend!

First off, I must say that Tell has captured my heart and slid into being my favorite McKay. Tell McKay is cursed with the middle child syndrome. He feels like he's not good enough and the family issues haven't ended even though his parents got divorced. Even though he was a late bloomer, he has upheld his duty as a McKay in the women department. He has those McKay blue eyes, dimples and hard body. Women in Sundance and all around are throwing themselves at Tell McKay and he's not afraid to admit it or take advantage.
Then he runs into Georgia, his high school crush. Georgia is one sassy woman. Her and Tell strike up a deal about their high school reunion. Tell is calling the shots (not like Ben was though, lol) and Georgia has no problems keeping up. If you could only imagine all the fantasies a teenageTell has had of her since high school. Luckily he gets to act a few of those out. :-)
It should go without saying the sex scenes are SMOKING HOT!!! I was pleasantly surprised with Georgia and how forward she was. It was written nicely where she didn't seem slutty just forward and really attracted to Tell. She had no problems keeping up with his sexcapades and there wasn't a shortage of role playing or dirty talk, which I totally loved.
"So why was he so hesitant to take the next step with her? A power thing? A fear thing? A little dick thing? She'd find out tonight." -Georgia (That made me laugh out loud)
Beyond the sex though, these two have a connection and its obvious from the beginning. The are both unhappy with their lives, unsure of what to do with themselves next. Both have parent issues and are suffering the loss of a sibling. They are both sarcastic and funny with each other and just naturally are at ease with one another. The hammock scene was the cutest.

It's always nice too in a series to see other couples (family) from previous stories. This book had cameos from about half the wives and most of the McKay men. Jessie and Brandt have several scenes in the book and it was nice to see them up close again.

I am a huge fan of Lorelei's Rough Riders Series--no doubt about it--and love her smexy Cowboys that drawl such dirty words that make me wish I lived in Wyoming. Or at least attend a few Rodeos.
Her cowboys and cowgirls are devoted to their family, even when the s**t hits the fan and they don't always get along. Her heroines are kick-a** women that drink hard, party harder, and love fierce. What's not to love? Oh, and they do cheerleading jumps (Hurkeys) off the bar, lol.
I will say (while ducking my head) that KISSIN' TELL wasn't exactly my favorite of the series, but I did enjoy reading it. In fact, had to take a cold shower on occasion, and hold my sides from laughing at the visuals that Lorelei painted about a certain nekked trampoline scene. Talk about awkward and a wee bit uncomfortable. OUCH...certain body parts should NOT be exposed while jumping; Gorgeous "Georgia" body or not, that cannot be pretty.
Yes, some of the smexy times was a bit out there for me, as far as realism goes--but I did enjoy reading them. They were very entertaining and original.
And I will never eat ice cream again without thinking how Tell loves to lick it off certain body parts...sigh...
Even though certain **ahem** sexual escapades pushed the realism boundaries for me, they were exactly what they were intended to be--highly erotic and a total turn-on HAWT.
Tell's dominance in the bedroom and the whispering promise of hot things to come--I almost felt his hot breath against my ear--was swoon worthy and rated an A-friggin-plus in my book.
Both Tell and Georgia have experienced a loss of a sibling. Both haven't really dealt with it. And both have no clue in hell on how to be in a relationship. I love the way they flounder around trying to figure things out. Things aren't perfect---and THAT dose of realism is refreshing. There was also a strong family dynamic in this story that made me wanna reach out and give my mom a huge hug.

Let me just say Tell McKay is one large hunk of yummyness! ;) The geek turned hottie playboy and the ex-virgin cheerleader sure do spark fire. Although their relationship was very juvenile and most arguments could have easily been solved, I guess that was the point. The insecurity, isolation and judgement doesn't end after high school. This may sound extremely shallow but I preferred the sex to their actual relationship. I loved everything about the book except the actual romance part. I see the connection between their shared grief over losing a brother but most of the story either Tell or Georgia were locked into a certain way of thinking that the ending just seemed abrupt to me. Well maybe it's just me. It's just the sex was so passionate, steamy, exciting, and had me all geared up. I like Georgia don't get me wrong but I didn't love her or feel connected. Together they create fireworks while alone she's just a woman lost. I wish she spoke up more. She wasn't bitchy but actually shy.
My favorite part was catching up with the rest of the McKay Brood. And those Mckay wives sure do pop them out like crazy. I'm glad Jesse and Brandt finally got their baby after all that went on. Also, Dalton McKay what is going on with you? The reality of the family drama keep me reading book after book. I feel like a McKay sometimes while reading. I hope y'all know what I'm saying or else I sound crazy.

When Georgia Hotchkiss moves back to Sundance, Wyoming temporarily she is uncertain to the welcome she will receive. Not surprised when she is treated the like the town pariah when she sees her fellow classmates. Georgia readily admits that she made mistakes in high school, she was the cheerleader and girlfriend to the hottest jock in school and was completely absorbed in that relationship not making room for friends.

Tell learned a valuable lesson though, he never wanted to be played again and when Georgia returns he feels himself turning back into that horny teenager wanting to get Georgia in his bed. When she asks him to attend the reunion wanting to get a little revenge as well as maybe have a good time, Tell is willing to be her right hand man but he has conditions of his own if she is willing to agree.
I gave this a 3.5, not my favorite out of the series and I struggled a bit with Georgia and the vehemence people treated her with. I also thought it was interesting that she is described as shy but she is pretty ferocious with Tell so it conflicted a bit for me.

Yeah, that worked for me. It wasn't perfect, but it had a super sweet, smoking hot cowboy! I liked watching both Tell and Georgia fall in love with each other. But as great as seeing Tell begin to take a stand with his family and have more confidence there, it was really special to see Georgia "come home" and face all the demons of her youth. She was never who everyone thought she was and she developed the courage to finally be herself. What I didn't like was how childish they both acted at times, but at least they would confront it and admit it. I loved that in the end, both Tell and Georgia came to the realization to do whatever it took to make it work between them! It was nice to catch up with all of the McKay clan too.

Totally forgot about this book and had to restart from the beginning. Besides that, I had started writing this long, descriptive review about the book, but decided if you’re looking into this book then you must’ve read the previous ones in this series and already know how great Lorelei writes these characters in this huge family. This one stars Tell McKay...the fun loving middle brother to Brandt and Dalton. He doesn’t disappoint.
