This is an incredible read about an amazing woman who operated in a realm dominated by men, succeeding, sharing and cooperating with them no matter what agency or country they represented. I so enjoyed this story about a humble individual who helped our country and Great Britain defeat the Nazis by code breaking Nazi commmunications during WWII. I don't read many biographies, but the title of this caught my eye since I really enjoy most forms of puzzles. Elizebeth Smith, a young Quaker woman, catches the eye of millionaire George Fabyan, who has sponsored a project to show that Francis Bacon wrote Shakespeare's works. Elizebeth is a recent college graduate looking for a challenge in her life and so she visits Fabyan's Riverbank, and ultimately decides to join the project.
