If i could give this book 10 stars, I would!!!!

The absolute brilliance of mixing science (although some far fetched) and top notch entertainment along with some of the most memorable characters, is quite an accomplishment. I just can’t say enough how much I loved this book and how it will go down as one of my favorites!

I can’t say anything really without giving the plot away and won’t do that. But know for however dire it gets, the optimism felt throughout and the hope that never dies creates an

Perfect combination of science, humor and suspense. Even my 10-year-old immediately fell in love with this audiobook. Love love love. (And for reference, I'm really not much of a sci-fi fan.)

(For the parents out there - there are maybe 3 curse words in the entire book and one brief scene where two characters talk about having sex in an awkward, almost autistic way. It lasts for about 2 minutes and I managed to skip over it when my son was listening.)

At first, he’s having trouble remembering how he got himself into this predicament but eventually remembers. Normally, I’m not a huge fan of back and forth between past and present but it worked perfectly in this story.

Rocky was everything. First contact has never been so freaking cute. And that ending. I loved the e

Andy Weir has clearly found a formula that works. A brilliant lone scientist stuck in space, who must overcome calamity after calamity in order to survive and hopefully get home.

This time, the story involves space fungi that are eating our sun (technically, it's more like a space algae, but whatever). The nations of Earth band together and launch a mission to the stars in order to turn the tide on this interstellar parasite.

Our narrator wakes from a coma and doesn't remember a thing. Where is he

If you enjoyed The Martian (or sci-fi in general), check this one out. I feel like I have a book hangover. My only advice is to skip reading any reviews/synopses/anything else about it and go in blind.

Only took two days to devour this book. Hardly ever read SciFi but Weir never disappoints.
