If you want a cozy, comforting and clean Christmas read- this is it. I won't say it's perfect but it's a very lighthearted and palate cleansing read.
I liked the vibes and there were so many cute scenes that made me smile. The main characters- Rachel and Max were fun. Rachel's brother was an arse and so immature, didn't really like him.
I believe it could have been a 135 page novella. The amount of time it took the MCs to get together was unnecessarily dragged and came across as superficial.

Keeping it precise, this is a fun and binge worthy read. But I found it to be a tad flawed. I much loved the first half of the book. The second half fell apart for me, it kind of lost the magnetism and I started to zone out.
I absolutely adored Christian and Megan. They have such cute moments and the chemistry is genuinely good. As individuals, Christian shines a bit more than Megan even tho it was her who had more depth. I didn't like any of the side characters, including Andrew and Molly (from Holiday Romance). Those two annoyed me a lot especially towards the end. But I will say this one was better than Holiday Romance.
The ending, especially the epilogue was very sweet. If you're looking for a lighthearted Christmas read with a fair bit of drama, then this is your book.

The three sisters blend in with each other than that their unique personalities do not stand out at all. To say that this is a Christmas book would be misleading, it's just set in December and has one chapter (that too last one) which involves a Christmas party; other than that it's quite a boring and depressing read....more

The characters Cami and Noah Cullen *suppresses laughter* anyway, they did nothing for me. The chemistry was kinda meh. Noah was there but less sparkly. Enjoyed the chemistry between Marie and Leo. Marie, princess of Eldovia is full of sass, confidence and her zeal for simplistic things makes her seem endearing but also predictable. Leo, a simple yet charming guy is the real star for me in this book. His sense of humour, the way he falls for Marie and the way he's written is absolutely likable.
It was an enjoyable read but not something that wowed me. Three stars seem apt....more

With a good plot, realistic and raw characters and a story that makes you feel all emotions- Christmas Under the Stars is hands down Karen Swan's best works.
It's got drama, plot twists that came out of nowhere and blew my mind, such pure raw emotion and a swoon worthy romance. Basically guys, it has it all! It does deal with grief and loss, but it's not written in a way that's going to make you uncomfortable.
I'm just glad I read it. Please excuse, I'm gonna be thinking about this book for a while. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!...more

The first half was much enjoyable even tho it took some time to build on. But the second half kept dragging on and on unnecessarily and the negative effect it had was- bore me and the characters lost their charm.
It's a friends to lovers romance. The chemistry between Molly and Andrew is great BUT as friends. Even tho they have their cute moments, I personally didn't feel any romance.
Molly is a quirky character, either you'll like her or straight up hate her. Trust me, there will be no in between. I did find her entertaining so her quirks didn't mind me much. Andrew is cute but that's all there is to his personality.
Another thing that disappointed me was that there were too many dialogues. I think that took a lot away from the story. As there was NO space for feeling any romance, cause it's told from Molly's POV- there was zero space for her to think/feel anything. In my opinion, that's a big let down. The flashbacks started to grow old at one point.
It's a decent read. It has its cute moments and good humor but sadly, it doesn't do much for me. If you want to give it a shot please do, you might like it more. I think the author has a lot of potential, I'll keep an eye on her other works....more

Nettie on the other hand, she starts off as a relatable character, one you like but ends up being perceived as a selfish and kind of annoying main character. Yeah I started to get annoyed with her and the decisions she made as the story progressed.
The novel's plot can be perceived as unrealistic by some but in my opinion it is a fictional world and anything can happen there. Also, let's not forget it's a sweet Christmas read. Miracles do happen ...more
