⤷ “This view leaves me breathless,” I gush, unable to contain the awe it strikes in my bones. “I couldn’t agree more.” Turning to him, my cheeks heat when I realize he’s not basking in our surroundings like I am. No. He’s staring straight at me.

Like I knew I would love him because my weakness is always the quiet, distant, mysterious guy BUT DIDN'T EXPECT TO LOVE HIM THIS MUCH WHAT THE FUCK
Brace yourself because I'm gonna word vomit - I'm gonna use this opportunity to FREAK OUT over our fae princess and her stupid kryptos <3
The way Kryll treats Addi, the way he talks to Addi, the way he handles Addi???? He just knows when to give her space but also acknowledges that he's so far gone when it comes to her, he seems to always know what she needs, and what to say, but he's also a little shy, and maybe a little insecure, and it's just all SO PERFECT?!
I thought I knew why his nickname for Addi is princess, even after he said that "you think I call you princess because of *that*?" I thought I could read between the lines there. BUT OH BOYYYYYYYY I DIDNT REALIZE HE MEANS PRINCESS...........LIKE THAT. MAN I COULD TALK ABOUT THIS FOR HOURSSSSSSSS KRYLL THE MAN THAT YOU ARE
but also BRODY?! the way he shows his love for Addi in this book is SO heartwarming.
gone is the manwhore Brody we know in the beginning of book 1 and we love that for him
also his lil moment of vulnerability there????

AND THEN RAIDEN?!?!
I have to mention that I LOVE that these boys show their love for Addi in different ways - not all perfect but at the end of the day all it comes down to is that they love her (THEY'RE STILL IN DENIAL ABOUT IT BUT IM NOT STUPID YALL ARE IN LOVE JUST ADMIT IT)
While Kryll and Brody knows when to give Addi her space to breathe, Raiden just DOES NOT want to be apart from Addi, like EVER. And he ain't shy about letting everyone know that either.
⤷ I’m done wasting time letting her be mad at me. Well, she can stay mad, but I’m done staying away.
Vampire origins are known to be self centered & only care about themselves, so this feeling of protectiveness & longing are new to Raiden. I love the way he slowly learns how to *healthily* love someone. The slowburn is starting to pay off little by little and I'm loving it a lot. I KNEW the first two books would be worth it because the spice in this?! I've said it before and I'll say it again - context is what makes spicy scenes SPICY. Idc if they do the kinkiest shit, if I'm missing the connection then it's just a tangle of messy sentences to me. This series on the other hand provided me with two books worth of angst and tension and connection before teasing me with what *could* be.
With that said. HOLYYY SHITTTT MOSES
Anyway I'm loving this series more and more. Things are somehow getting even more interesting and this book leaves me with even more questions. ALSO THE BOND THAT THE GUYS HAVE?! Their group chat talk?! Jane I would read a whole novella of just their group chat texts pls make it possible ...more

Starting to question my love for slowburn romances because there's slowburn and there's whatever this book was. I got heartburn from the tension alone.
The first half was a little boring because it was more of a filler. It was needed tho bc I'd rather have boring chapters that provided a lot of context than a lot of action with no context. There are a lot of main characters and Jane took her time building Isobel's relationship with each of the guys. Their individual "relationship" (or lack of? lol the slow burn is KILLING me can you tell) with her all have their own meaning.
The last half, on the other hand, holy fu-

I loved LOVED loved the little glimpses of the guys' lives outside Ironside. Some of them ripped my damn heart out and made me love them even more. (Oskie? OSKIE?!) My favorite alpha seems to be changing every chapter. (jk I love you Gabriel Spade)
I know when you hear RH with 10 guys you think this might be the trashiest, raunchiest book but I swear it's NOTHING like that. The plot is actually amazing, the worldbuilding is incredible, and the romance(s?) are burning extremely slowly. I can tell Jane is taking this project seriously and with so much care and love. The writing is beautiful. The extra content provided (like the cheat sheet) is helpful.
Anyways I'm silently panicking because I only have two books left and then I'll have to wait till December for the next one LORD why must u punish me this way...more

I was going to read this and finish it quietly, removing the update like a shameful little bitch. But this book deserves the spotlight. Because, what the fuck, and I can't stress this enough, did I just read.
I read this for shits and gigs but I think I'm the joke now, the moment I found out this RH consists of TEN guys I was like there ain't no way it could be good.
I was so so wrong.
Idk what kind of witchcraft Jane Washington practiced but she somehow made a book about a girl being mated to ten different dudes an emotional rollercoaster with depth like you would not believe. The angst almost caused me a fucking ulcer.
The rejected mate trope in this is insane because being rejected by one or two mates is one thing but 10? I'd cry myself to sleep every day and night tbh
[image]
AND THE SLOWBURN? I'd like to think I'm well versed in slowburn romances but holy hell, this book. The tension, the angst? Out of this world. And I loved it. If it started getting spicy somewhere in book 1 I probably would've lost interest.
But the spark cannot burn any slower, and that's exactly the way I like it. Keep me guessing and wishing as long as possible, PLEASE.
This book was addicting as hell. I was in a daze the whole day. I feel like this book is the equivalent of shows like... NCIS or something. I could read 15 of these no problem.
This is so beautifully written, and easy to read. Which is something because I usually have problems with third pov, but it felt effortless in this book.
This book might be peak omegaverse I fear. Or maybe just RH in general honestly lol.
Even though it's not the traditional omegaverse people might be used to. I might like this one better actually. The author described it as an alternative-omegaverse, with the familiar alpha-beta-omega system but with completely different rules. And this one has sigmas.
I think this book would be perfect for people not familiar with omegaverse.
Isobel, our fmc, is a Sigma. Literally the lowest of the lows. If it was any other book in any other universe I don't think I would like her very much because of her obedient & agreeable nature. But because she's a sigma it makes sense for her to act that way, and I could see little glimpses of her snarkiness & inner bad bitch peeking through sometimes and that makes me excited. I hope she will get to step outside her sad sigma bubble & let her real self come through in future books.
And the ten alphas? I was expecting to get them all mixed up because while I'm not slow, memorizing 10 different love interests seems like a laughable task.
But Jane proved me wrong yet again.
She somehow was able to make the ten alphas distinguishable. They all have unique, different personalities. Grouping some of them in twos is a smart move honestly.
It didn't take me long (really, it didn't) to be able to tell who's who and who's likely to do what. Also, the author provided a really handy, EXTREMELY stunningcheat sheet of the characters on her equally stunning website, so that helped.
And who's my favorite, you ask? I don't know. Not yet. The easy answer would be Theo, but Oscar is too hard to ignore. But I like to torture myself, so for now I'd say Kalen, for the sake of the plot. But also Gabriel and Elijah. Because, reasons. Wink.
I'm not sure what I can and cannot say because this series is so full of secrets and mysteries and I've heard it's better to go in blind so if you want to read this, go straight into it like I did. It's worth it, I promise.
Now excuse me while I race to the next book....more

“You’re in my head, you’re under my skin, you’re fucking everywhere, Ria.”
Oh my god, a romcom that actually has GOOD comedy?!?! WILDDD I know!! This was SO funny, deserved 5 stars just for the humor alone. I loved loved loved our heroine, Ria, especially her relationship with her best friend, Jamie. Their SBS (small brain syndrome) moments were the highlight of the book! I'm so excited to read Jamie's story next!
THE PLOT
Our hero, Adrien, who was the CEO of the company Ria and her sister worked for, was GRUMPYYY. And rightfully so. Because Ria did something to him (might or might not be on accident) that caused him to lose a 700 million dollar deal that he'd worked on for half a year. He was PISSED and on a warpath, nothing but revenge on his mind.
But Ria also had her own reasons for hating him, and she didn't really care that much when he fired her, ready to never think about Adrien ever again... except her sister had to pay for her mistake and Ria wasn't having it. Adrien saw an opportunity to get his revenge on Ria when she came into his office demanding him to punish her instead of her sister. And Ria had no choice but to strike a deal with the devil boss himself.
Adrien made it his mission to make Ria's life harder, and not even a giant tornado would stop Ria from proving him wrong. It was hilarious, they bickered a lot, insults flying left and right. I think it's tricky to create a believable enemies-to-lovers arc in a contemporary romance (because it's never that serious), but they both had solid reasons to resent each other so the hatred made sense!
THOUGHTS
The banter in this book was amazing! Honestly not even just the banter between Ria and Adrien. But also the side characters, like Jamie and Adrien's family. This book was an all-around good time. There was a moment when I thought it would get boring, but conflict kicked in and my angst-deprived soul was fed. It went on for a reasonable amount of time and ended in a perfect conclusion. My drama loving ass even wished it was more angsty and lasted longer.
Smut was good. But I've read so many books in my lifetime and smut doesn't excite me anymore lol so I skimmed some of it in this book because honestly nowadays one chapter of smut is enough for me. I don't need three. I prefer drama over spice. But it's not a dealbreaker, just a personal preference.
And some things happened in this book that were a little too unrealistic, and would never happen in real life unless you were living your own romcom movie, but I didn't mind them that much because they were necessary for the plot. This book is peak cheesy romcom and I loved every second of it.
And last, if nothing I've said has convinced you to give this book a try, please know that Adrien, who was hellbent on hating our heroine, and also allergic to cats, bought Ria and her roommate's cat, Toebeans Maguire, a luxurious, giant ass cat tree. That's it and thank you.

“Because when you hurt and you hurt and you hurt, disappearing is better than feeling.”
LORDDDDDD WHAT THE ACTUAL HELLLLL. I think God saw how much I've suffered lately and gave me the groveling book of my dreams. This entire series had me stunlocked. The end of the first book was the most painful punch to the gut, but it was a necessary evil because holy ANGST and GROVEL. 98% of this book was pretty much just them begging Lilah to give them a second of her day. AS THEY SHOULD!!!
Lilah was the strongest heroine ever. All the shit she endured growing up, and then the miserable shit she had to go through because of the guys.. yet she never once put herself as the victim. Her biggest no-no was letting the guys know how terrified she actually was all the time. She wanted them as far away from her as possible and it was killing the guys. GOOD. MAKE THEM SUFFER.
But JJ. THEY CAN NEVER MAKE ME HATE YOU.
For the longest time my number 1 favorite was Finn. Because he was always kinda nice to Lilah from the beginning. Usually the nice guy of the pack wouldn't be my fave, but what Lilah was going through was SO devastating, it almost gave me an ulcer. I clung to any hint of kindness towards Lilah, and at the time Finn was the only one who, kind of, put her first in a way? Not out of love or care, he was just crazy, but she needed someone in her corner so badly that I had to take what I could get LMAO ...more
So I couldn't sleep one night and had the genius idea to start looking into the rejected mat-ˋˏ 4.5 stars
this book is THE Official Guide to Groveling™
So I couldn't sleep one night and had the genius idea to start looking into the rejected mates trope and this book was on top of everyone's list. I started reading it for shits and giggles but joke's on me because I think this just becomes one of my top comfort reads. oops
I've never been more glad of my ability to ignore hideous covers and cringy titles because good god this book screams 2006. But it's okay because I was here for the plot. And the plot was GIVING. It did not disappoint. It was trashy, over the top, and entertaining as hell. Also surprisingly well written.
This book follows Una, a lone female wolf at the bottom of the rank, who discovers that the alpha of her pack, Killian, is actually her fated mate. But for some reason, only Una can feel the mating bond, so Killian rejects her in front of the whole pack, which embarrasses Una to no end. And he just keeps rejecting her after, days after days, leaving Una to lick her wound on her own while everyone makes fun of her, until eventually he comes to his senses, and realizes that Una IS his mate, so he goes to get Una, but it's too late. Una is over it. She hates him, and she finds a way to sever the bond, so she doesn't need him anymore. Killian is very regretful, thinks he is an idiot (he is, but we love him), and spends the majority of the book trying to get Una back.
Pretty straightforward, I thought it was gonna be a quick, to-the-point, rejected mate romance. But even though the book is not that long (I really wish it was longer), it has more depth than I expected. The found family feel is nice!!
Una is a great heroine. She's smart. She doesn't act like a kicked puppy (or, well, wolf, lol) which she technically is. She fights back, holds on to her independence as hard as she can, and she loves just as hard. She makes Killian work to get himself back into her good graces. You go girl.
Killian is also an awesome alpha. He's a dumbass at times, but he's my dumbass. He grovels and grovels hard and that's all I need to be honest lmao if I'm being real I only picked this up because I wanted a good groveling and my guy delivered.
I wish the rejecting part were longer tho because I love pain. But everything else was perfect <3 cheap and trashy, but perfect <3...more

Oli is my love my life honestly I'm so glad that she's a VERY entertaining heroine lol she's funny asf. And what I love the most about her is how she's not afraid to be the villain to protect her loved ones. I'm just so sick of heroines ALWAYS trying to do the right thing even if it's the DUMBEST decision. I'm glad Oli is a little ruthless in that aspect. She doesn't want to spill innocent blood, but she will if she has to, to protect her bonds and close friends. She'll feel extreme guilt over it but she's willing to go through it if that means her loved ones are safe. GO OLI HONESTLY
I inhaled this book like it was oxygen. I sacrificed my sleep to finish this with zero regrets. What a kickass start to a series!!
I'm usually not veryI inhaled this book like it was oxygen. I sacrificed my sleep to finish this with zero regrets. What a kickass start to a series!!
I'm usually not very lucky when it comes to RH/why choose, perhaps bc it's not really my thing, but it works so well in this book. Maybe because there's a paranormal element to it so it's less cringy to me. If this wasn't a why choose I think I would've been in shambles because I wouldn't be able to choose... just kidding it's Gryphon till I die.
I also love the hell out of Oli. She's the main reason I'm so addicted to this because reading her pov is just so fun. I want her to have all the good things in life so I feel like I can't stop reading until she gets the happiest ending lol

When I say I love my silly little romance novels, this is what I mean. This book is very silly, very weird and VERY romantic! I knew I wasn't gonna get life-changing quotes out of it or soul-opening speeches out of anyone, but that's why this is a silly little romance lol!
I know Ali Hazelwood is not everyone's cup of tea, but fortunately for me her writing just speaks to my soul. I find comfort in her predictable plot and familiar sense of humor. I get why people feel the humor in this one is a bit forced though, but I personally loved it. After reading too many books with flat, boring fmcs, reading one with a character like Misery was a breath of fresh goddamn air. Her name did give me the ick in the beginning but I got used to it eventually. In conclusion, I'd pick Misery with her forced quirkiness and weird sense of humor over one-dimensional female characters ANY day.
I love that she hates that she cares. I love that I never know what she will do in certain situations because Misery is a complex character, a funny one at that. It was never boring in her head.
And I'd like to say Ali Hazelwood is blessed with the talent of writing down bad male characters, without making them look pathetic. I was giggling over Lowe inhaling the air a little bit deeper when Misery was near. Or when his pupils dilated when he looked at her. I lived for that shit. It was giving Mr Darcy's hand flex. Good shit!!
The whole knot thing was new for me (never read omegaverse or anything like that before), and a little weird, but I embraced it. I mean this is a romance book between a vampire and a werewolf. Of course there was going to be some weird stuff, and honestly it wasn't as bad as people made it out to be.
Also the end!!! Got me gasping a little. I was hoping something like that would happen so imagine my delight lol. Now I NEED book two!!...more
