I loved these characters, Alex is my hero and my girl crush, I admire her. And I loved Blue Eyed Boy or Miles. The story is definitely something different and writing style is really good.
Good work Mrs Zappia! Can´t wait your next book! You have another follower...
Once again another great story and dark as I've come to expect from her! I really enjoyed it.Once again another great story and dark as I've come to expect from her! I really enjoyed it....more

I don’t know about you, but I love great first lines (or great first chapters). First lines that intrigue or challenge, that captivate and spark strong emotion or curiosity. Call me judgemental but some of my all-the-time-favorite-books were judged based on first impressions. These are some of them: Forbidden, Between Shades of Gray, On the Jellicoe Road, The Sea of Tranquility, The Storyteller, The Bronze Horseman... And this book/novella, from the very first sentence to very last word , kept me captivated.
"I´m convinced that hell has an intercom system and the buzz of my alarm clock is played at full volume on repeat against the screams of all the lost souls."

I have mixed feelings about the current novella trend in fiction. Shorter works featuring secondary characters from a successful full-length book or covering a discrete span of time before/after the action. Problem is that the novella is a specific prose form that isn't always easy to carry off. Longer than a short story, shorter than a novel,it requires careful plotting to get the pacing right. But you don´t have to worry about that things while reading Colleen´s novellas. They are perfect.
Maybe Not tell us a story about side characters of Maybe Someday, Warren and Bridgette who are everything but not ordinary. They are odd, goofy, silly, evil, mean...The author developed this characters in such a way that you must loved them. Colleen Hoover has such a brilliant writing style and I highly recommend all her books!
Without giving too much away, as I do not appreciate those who give reviews and spoil the storyline, I will say this novella is not just about Warren's story. It´s quite funny and enjoyable read for fans of a well-written story, well-crafted characters who make you warm in your belly and laugh out loud.
This is one that is on the MUST read shelf for anyone who wants to giggle, snort, and grin the silliest of grins for a long time after finishing the book. ...more

This book had me in a love/hate relationship. I found the first half of this book rather boring and very repetitive. I felt like the story was predictable and a little too dramatic at some points. I liked the writing style. It was poetic and beautiful. I didn't like the characters: Maise is anoying and self centered and Evan, or should I say Eric, is weird. Their teacher-student relationship has nothing to do with my opinion of them, and I have no issue with their age difference. In my opinion this even wasn´t pedophillia. I just didn´t fall in love with these characters or their story. The whole story sounded to me like Taming the Beast wants to be Slammed.
All in all it wasn’t my cup of tea and I won’t be repeating the experience anytime soon. 3 Stars is the best I could do. This book has some great reviews and you may enjoy it. But, it just wasn't for me....more
Well, it doesn´t have a cliffhanger like someone said to me. It has a happy ending. But this isn´t something special that I would like to reread.
