4.5 rounded up 5 stars to an apocalyptic, dystopian , bloody, vulgar, harsh, nerve-bending, nail-biting, heart-throbbing version of Red Riding Hood! I4.5 rounded up 5 stars to an apocalyptic, dystopian , bloody, vulgar, harsh, nerve-bending, nail-biting, heart-throbbing version of Red Riding Hood! I never see this coming ! This author is more merciless and definitely wilder than Grimm Brothers and I literally devoured each pages but I’m still hungry for more!
This book is gruesome, reminds of us so many “The world is ending” and “ contagious virus” theme projects starting from Bird Box ( Just like movie version the two children accompany Red are “ he” and “she” just like Sandra Bullock call them), “28 days later”, so much better version of Shymalan’s “Happening” ( the situation of abandoned houses, stores with full of dead people), Sodenberg’s ”Contagion” and finally this is not the dystopian movie but as it is admitted on the book, the creature’s technique of ripping apart of the people’s abdomens is totally great tribute to Ridley Scott’s “Alien”!
We have a remarkable heroine like younger but definitely rougher and tougher version of Sarah Connor( mostly the second movie and ore muscled version) meets girl version of Mad Max( let’s say Maxine )!
When I was a child I have read too many Grimm Brothers’ nightmarish fairy-tales and I was also disappointed about the naivety of red riding hood ( she cannot differentiate her grandma from a wolf, come on Red! Wear glasses!) but this super version of her , Red so smart, also intelligent ( a book worm, know-it-all kinda girl like Hermione Granger), a loner, isolated one because she has hard times to trust people completely. At more parts she makes you think she is the protector of her own family. She never acts like a young girl, she’s old soul, always calculating every move, knowing how to use sharp objects, she’s born as fighter and survivor.
Amazing heroine, gripping, fast paced story-telling, nonstop action capture your attention and hook you from the beginning. You don’t want to put it down. ( I confess I let my husband feed me at the dinner when I was frantically turning the pages! At least I was having sushi ) For most parts of the book I wanted to raise my punch at the air and scream” Yessss! Atta girl!”, some parts made my stomach churned, but at the end I can hear my own evil laughs because I enjoyed it.
Only the unanswered questions about the government experiments and the cause of the contagion a little disturbed my mind. But this book is about Red’s story and her surviving fight to reach to her grandma’s house.
I love the ending! Never ending action, thrilling, captivating, shocking parts. I already added gruesome versions of Alice and Peter Pan’s stories. I need to read more from the author because I had so much fun!...more
Hey GR friends are you ready for my second auction for stars bidding? Yes, sure you did! Here we go!
Let’s start with five hundred stars because anyonHey GR friends are you ready for my second auction for stars bidding? Yes, sure you did! Here we go!
Let’s start with five hundred stars because anyone read this book can easily fall in love with those characters, five thousand, five million, I think I heard five billion, whaaat red haired crazy woman raised her hand and raised to five trillion, SOLD to five trillion starts to this year’s best crime, evilish, mind bending, grey cell killing, agitating and surprising book!
Yes, I was the crazy red haired woman and as soon as I opened this book, I wanted to buy it a romantic dinner, take it to the movies and spend my last 10 hours.
This book wasn’t only glued to my fingers, it captivated my mind and conquered my soul. Well done, Mr. Robotham, I already dashed down to the bookstores to buy your other books because I will feel better when I’m gonna read the paperbacks ( Okay, I confess, I got terrified on some parts and threw my kindle against the wall, at least I cannot hurt the papers, am I right?)
The story starts by introducing us Evvie Cormac who’s staying on a ward for a long time. Nobody knows her real name or anything about her past. There is nothing can be found about her on the records. But later we’re learning two things about he :
1)She’s a lie detector. ( As like Tim Roth at “Lie to me” but she doesn’t feed herself with science, she achieves to catch the lies instinctively. )
2) She’s ANGELFACE, who is the survivor of murder house and spent days while a corpse was rooting at the next room of the house and at the end, a woman officer saved her.
And then we’re introduced to psychologist Cyrus Haven who was also a survivor of a murder house (His own brother massacred their family)
So we interacted with two broken souls, two not victims but survivors, two grifted, original, straightforward, smart characters. It was impossible to love them.
Then two of them found themselves to solve a young skater girl’s murder mystery.
What I enjoyed about this book:
Unpredictable pacing of the story. First time in my life I tried to read a book slowly because I didn’t want to finish it. I wished too many times, I had 10 more sequel books so I can binge reading and start to sing “psycho killer, qu'est-ce que c'est? Fa, fa, fa, far better` from Talking Heads. Well, unfortunately the book ended and I felt like I left the dinner table with hungry stomach, I wanted moreeeee!!!
And the blood freezing, gut wrenching, darkest, WTH I just read it kinda ending, final, harsh revelations about murder mystery ( This book reminded me with its ominous, disturbing, chilling atmosphere, Danish series “Forbrydelsen”- “The Killing” is the US version)
After you finish it, you’re mumbling some unidentified words and you’re brushing your cheeks several times because the author slapped you several times. And the interesting fact is you want to get more slaps. I spent all my stars at the auction but it was truly worth it! I’m telling you this is my favorite crime thriller of this year! Brava, well down, fantastic job! As an ending to my review I’m adding a small thank you note to the writer:
Dear Mr. Robotham, Thank you for writing this amazing book. Thank you for reminding me there are still so many gifted writers out there I had to discover and devour their books. And please please pleaseeeee don’t make us wait too long. I’m kindly begging you, write the sequels sooner than ever. I need to read more Cyrus-Evvie books. All the best, Your newest and permanent fan Nilufer...more

There are three sides of this book’s story. Caroline’s, Aiden’s and the truth.( it’s out there! Ready to be found by Scully and Mulder)
Caroline tells us she’s the victim. Her husband is cheater. He vacuums all their bank accounts and shows up at their beach house party with his Russian mistress. He wants divorce and plans to flee the country. So Caroline gets drunk and has one night stand with Aiden and guess what happened as soon as their sex is over, he told her “I LOVE YOU” ( whattttt?) HE WANTS MORE. He turns into Sting who sings “ Every Breath You Take” meets You’s Joe Goldberg but the hottest Irish version !
He is determined enough to get rid of the husband, get the woman, get the house (Yes, he’s also obsessed with her house, we’re gonna understand why at the end of the book) ride his horse into the sunset!( or instead of that he got his horses to the old town road paved with prison stones )
And let’s hear out Aiden! There’s so much negativity on his side: Is he an ex felony of manslaughter (We can call it crime of passion, her girlfriend cheats on him and he fights with the other guy and bang! He accidentally kills him. That’s his statement, I’m not judging!), he’s 16 years younger than her (I’m not sure this is bad thing! It might be a big winning for Caroline who defines herself as a cougar), he’s broke, aimless, not having a proper job and he’s so blindly in love with her and he thinks she loves him back! I hear some kind of ominous music at the background ! Nananaa !
Okay, our cute psycho ( we’re not sure but his obsessive attitudes towards Caroline makes us think there’s something wrong with our guy or he’s ultra-Alpha male who has real control issues) joined Caroline’s spinning class and appeared as a waiter at the restaurant where she had a family dinner( you guess right, he wasn’t even working there)
And facts: Husband dies! Aiden gets convicted, Caroline is nowhere to be found!
I like the other’s writing style and technique to tell the same parts with two different POVS. I always adored “he said she said” kind of story-telling.
So whodunit, who tells the truth, whose side of story is more real?
It’s really complex book! But some parts made me alerted and I already found the truth at the beginning. But not worry because it’s not so foreseeable. I just concentrated so hard to find the answer on this one! The author might fool me so easily! Because she designed her twists so smartly, they’re impeccable !
And of course I like the ending! I’m so happy karma won and whatever went around came around! Hell yeah to the poetic justice!
I only cut the points because I had some hard times to empathize the characters. But this is not author’s flaw , this is all about my nature, I’m always dubious about the persons’ motives at first so this pushed me to be suspicious and alert about each word the characters say and in this case, it served me very well to catch the details and fill the blanks!
It was amazing, riveting and energizing book! I highly recommend it to the twisty, edgy, mind bending books lovers! Thank to the publishers for ARC copy and special thanks to NetGalley and thanks to the author who made me need brain cells transplant after bending my mind with her clever writing!...more
Five deserved, burning, spooky, creepy, witchy, goosebumps stars!

The reasons I enjoyed so much about this book: - We meet with Hattie, a real gifted witch, who was just being killed by locals with false accusations. ( She’s still witch but not she is not danger to the community, she just wanted to help for saving children) That prologue gives you creeps, by disturbing your feelings push you turn pages faster!!!
- It starts with the moving of couple, Helen and Nate, recently resigned from teaching jobs to shape a different life by changing their living place, coming to rural Vermont for building their own place! The same land Hattie has died ! Oh yes, you can hear Twilight Zone’s theme music in your ears! Because they’re entering another dimension! A different, quirky place with ghosts! Boooo nananana ( Okay, I’m cutting from here, it gets frustrating!)
- Olive is their 14 year old neighbor who was recently abandoned by her mother, living with her father who loses his marbles each day after his wife’s departure, remodeling house by destroying every part of it to bring his wife back! ( He thinks he can deceive his wife with wider wardrobes and Mountain View!) Olive hates newcomers, she thinks there is a secret hidden treasure on their land ! If they leave their land, she can make a proper search! So she starts stealing them to confuse their minds, wearing white dress, walking into their land at midnight, acting like Hattie’s ghost! Yes, this girl is strange, weird, crazy, wild, tomboy but still so lovable, well developed, amazing teen character!
So there are too many interesting and also typical horror story instrumentals such as; A ghost who is searching for her child and grandchildren! A hidden family treasure A disappearing hypnotizing white deer which could be the reflection of Hattie Spirits connect with real people by quija board A group of weird people’s monthly meetings/ seances to connect with the spirits Rising questions to differentiate what is real and what is madness Five generation of women’s unfortunate stories!
It’s a long book which gave me red eye because I felt like my hands were glued to the pages, I couldn’t put down, I couldn’t stop to think about the story , I couldn’t easily give up on Hattie!
The writing was remarkable , well crafted, gripping! I’m so happy to finally find a book about good spirits not the evil but unfortunate ones with unfinished business! Because it is so boring to watch and read about the ghosts and their vengeance stories!
I loved this, I enjoyed it, I’m satisfied with the ending! Last twist was a little expectable but I still liked it!...more

But it really surprised me because I loved every part of it! Not only it can be defined is a fantastic thriller but also it can be considered as a great psychological family drama! This book is shocking, frustrating that slaps you across your face, pushes your buttons incessantly, pisses you off, makes you question your values and amazes you with its unexpected twists! I got shocked because of cruelty and meanness of little girls, angry of parents who are clueless about what’s going on with their children’s lives, the school system that has no power to fight against bullying! Three girl’s disturbing story starts with violent attack at the railroads but as soon as we turned back in the time, there were more of that! Too many lies, fairness, misunderstandings! The end of the book might make you devastated, surprised and sad. Definitely gives you never see this coming or what the hell it cannot be true moments! Unfortunately it is all real and I want to shake your hand of the author for creating amazing book and wounding me with her harsh, realistic but absolutely gifted words!
Look at my photo and fake smile because there is nothing in this book makes you smile! My dog is scared so much and had nightmares because I read him Look at my photo and fake smile because there is nothing in this book makes you smile! Five- this book turned me into creepy paranoid who is afraid of her own shadow, leave the lights on before sleeping, scream as soon as hearing any approaching footsteps inside the house, wow actually I was doing all of these before, but it’s still good to point a finger to something as a reason of my awkward behaviors- stars!!!!
As soon as I got the printed copy of this book, I became so agitated because there was another gift with the copy! A FREAKING CARD! As soon as you open the card, a creepy young girl’s voice started to sing the ominous words: “If you leave a door half open, soon you’ll hear the whispers spoken…” I threw away the card urgently like there was some burning object into my hands! But my vengeful husband saw my reaction! Oh the biggest mistake!!!(I always scare him off when he was watching a horror movie. I approach behind his back and at the most terrifying moment of the movie, I shake him and say BOOO! Ha ha you should see him cry like a baby!)
So my husband; whose sign is Scorpio (relentless avenger), used this singing gift card for his revenge plan! When I was about to take a beautiful nap in front of the television playing “Secret Obsession` (The last worst Netflix fiasco), he put the card into my ear and open it. Yes, you should see me screaming like toddler!
So I hesitated too many times to start this book. But I told myself, I’m living in LA, there are scariest thing at the streets (walking botoxed and bleached blondes everywhere). So I buckled up, put my earlaps (as a precaution for another prank attack from my husband) and start to read!
I loved this book completely. The things most I liked:
-DYSFUNCTIONAL FATHER-SON RELATIONSHIPS: From Frank and Francis( the freakiest father and son) to Pete and Tom and finally Tom and Jake. All of them have connection issues and all of them have inner demons to strangle. (First ones didn’t achieve to do that, Pete made his best and Tom is still trying.)
STORYTELLING -Well-crafted story-telling, smartly organized twists and shocking surprises, unputdownablity, fast and furious pacing!
CHARACTERS - All the characters have too many flaws and they don’t carry ideal heroic materials but I still loved every one of them. I loved to see how Pete is willing to pay his past dues and struggle but always win his fight with alcohol.
I loved to see Tom’s efforts to connect with his son and show how much he cared for him even he was in deep pain of the recent loss of his beloved wife! And little, sweet but also a little bit scary Jake: This little one is combination of Sixth Sense’s Cole and Ring’s Aidan with amazing drawing skills and quiet flourished imagination. He’s the key element of the story. Because he’s always one step ahead from all the characters. (including the murderer)
ENDING: Two parts of ending (Jake’s bedroom part and prison part) were fantastic and also spooky as hell!
There was a “Friends’ episode” that Joe was hiding the “Shining`” book at the freezer because he was too afraid to finish it. I thought I should have done the same to this book, too many times. But I wanted to see the finish line and now I will probably suffer from nightmares! And that sweet singing card don’t help me!!!
This book is definitely one of the best thrillers of this year! And maybe it’s my number one on my favorite thrillers list! (I know it’s early to decide, there are so many upcoming releases) But I highly recommend it to readers who are brave enough to face their nightmares (as Pete told little Jake, nightmares help us to get rid of our stuffed frustrations and overloaded anxiety), and real devoted fans of mystical, surprising, twisty thrillers....more

Five OMG I’m suffering from brain cells bleeding and explosion of my last standing grey cells, what the hell I just read and who am I ? stars!
I know the drill but let me rephrase one more time! This is not an easy, soft, sunshine and rainbows reading!
In my opinion people who are brave enough to dive into this journey should put themselves an IQ test and discover their cognitive skills. ( luckily I read the quantum physics for dummies before the beginning but I feel like I can be great cast for future dumb and dumber movie if they will ever produce the third installment)
So this book is amazing combination of time traveling, alternated lifetimes, Minority Reports meet Groundhog Day versus Black Mirror and Back to the Future kinda fascinating science fiction crashes into thriller and romance starting with an effective and memorable suicide attempt scene. A woman suffers from FMS ( false memory syndrome) who thinks her child was being erased, her husband denied her existence so there was nothing better than jump and end her life. But she had small hope in her heart, her husband could come to rescue her but when he didn’t show up, she didn’t want to fight anymore and.... Yes, this book starts with jaw dropping scene and you’re hooked!
It’s addictive, unputdownable, nerve damaging, exhausting ride! You wanna know what’s going to happen and think about yourself if I had a chance to save my loved ones by turning back and making my wrongs turn into rights, what would happen!
Saving her daughter from the traffic accident, curing your mother’s Alzheimer disease, prevention of school shooting , saving soldiers from the terrorist attacks are just the samples writer show as in alternative realities that have possible to be changed!
The difference of Recursion from Dark Matter might be romance parts because I really enjoyed Barry and Helena’s love story. Not only they fought to bring universe into the right pattern but also they fought to get back together to be each other’s final word, everlasting love, end game!
This was thrilling, mind bending, provoking book! Dark Matters is going to be Netflix series and I’m already sure that as a brain numbing project, this book finds its place at big screen on near future!
Highly recommended, smart, different, unique and exquisite book but not for everyone!

Welcome to your crazy train ride ! Your destination is a suburban town, meet with this lovely family, party of four. A lovely real estate agent wife, a tennis instructor husband and their smart and beautiful kids. Nope, nothing as it seems. You’re about to meet to one of the dysfunctional families.
Not Shameless, Weeds tv series kinda dysfunctional. This couple suffers from their daily routines and responsibilities of the their marriage. Never ending bill payments, children’s demands, working on the jobs without any satisfaction... As a summary all work no play ! But their solution for not being dull is finding an interesting hobby which is organizing the murders of young women.
This book is unconventional with its disturbing characters. Millicent, lovely wife takes her trophy as one of the terrifying, blood freezing, sociopathic characters of the history( definitely she is the danger, Walter White is like a Disney character when you compare him with this woman) This is brilliant page turner makes you addicted. You never want to stop and keep on reading. It makes you paranoid, it makes you run in the dark as soon as you turn off the lights, it gives you goosebumps!
Twists are well played. The characterization is developed with so much dark humor and conclusion is surprising. A promising start! I truly enjoyed it!...more

I may have been reading Harlan Coben’s books for at least 10 years. Myron Bolitar’s series are always the light of my day. I enjoyed them so much. Maybe you find it like a cheesy slogan but when you start one of his books, you cannot stop!
You stay up all night till you finish and earn your restful sleep! ( actually that’s what happened to me over and over like living a dejavu) When I’m reading a book, I usually imagine some actors who can act as that character. I always do it for Coben books because they’re written like fast paced action movies. ( this book may be considered as Taken meets Ben is Back) So I imagined Liam Neeson’s 15 year old younger version as Simon and Robin Wright’s 10 years younger version as Ingrid . When you read the book, you’ll understand why I matched these characters with those actors. ( Also Evan Peters and Emma Roberts may be quiet great Ash and DeeDee)
As a summary this book has so many twists as you expect from any other Coben books. It’s full of action and it brings so many layers together starting from ancestry and DNA match sites, creepy cult members, a lost daughter, a private investigator who searches a lost boy and a family who breaks into pieces because of their lost daughter’s drug addiction. There too many secrets, surprises till the end. The tempo gets faster and your heart rate raises as you keep reading and trying to find a reasonable answers and making your assumptions.
The end is real slap on the face! I liked so much! Mr. Coben kept us waited for this new book for so long but it is totally worth it!...more

Each character we learn more about them, we think we cannot despise more but actually yes, we can ! At the beginning we thought they didn’t deserve to be locked up and there might be some way to rescue them. But a fewer pages later, I started to sing: “ Burn baby burn! Disco Inferno!” and” Ain’t no rest for the wicked”! So yes Karma finally shows her ugly face at the end. It’s a great mash-up of Exam, Interview and Unknown movies which are good thrillers in one location and the twisted final reminded me of Netflix famous Spanish series “ La Casa De Papel” So buckle up, walk on disgraceful characters bodies with your high heels, enjoy this entertaining show!

"I Know Who You Are" is a compelling psychological thriller that delves deep into the murkiest corners of fame, deception, and the fragility of identity. Unfortunately, I had a really hard time connecting with the main character and feeling even a tiny particle of empathy for her. The triggering subjects and abusive situations in this book are also hard to digest, which is another reason I didn't quite enjoy my reading and had to take breaks due to feeling queasy. My poor stomach couldn't handle what was written on the pages.
Let's take a closer look at the main plot: The story revolves around Aimee Sinclair, a successful actress with a seemingly perfect life. She has fame, fortune, and a devoted husband. However, her world shatters when her husband goes missing, and she is thrust into a nightmarish journey of self-discovery and sinister revelations. To be fair, one of the strengths of this novel is its unreliable narrator. Aimee's perspective keeps shifting, and the reader is left questioning her reliability as she grapples with memory lapses and haunting recollections. This narrative device adds layers of intrigue to the story, forcing readers to constantly reevaluate what they think they know. However, I believe the readers are kept in the dark for too long, and the repetitive cycle can make your eyes roll as you yearn to cut to the chase and find out the biggest twist.
This book is a rollercoaster of a thriller that takes you on a journey through the darkest recesses of the human psyche. While it may not reach the same heights as Feeney's debut novel, it still delivers a gripping and satisfying read. The shocking twists and turns keep you guessing until the very end, and the final revelation will leave you breathless.
In summary, Alice Feeney's "I Know Who You Are" is a chilling exploration of identity and deception, wrapped in a tightly woven psychological thriller. My inability to connect with the main character, the harsh and excessively dark sensitive subjects, and the far-fetched, unreliable conclusion left me thinking that this is an okay read, but I was expecting so much more from my queen of twists.

Laura moves back to her childhood towFour so happy to find finally nail-biter, breathtaking, nightmare conjuring, anticipating book! We have a winner!
Laura moves back to her childhood town, stays with her sister’s family, heartbroken, dumped via text, trying to make changes in her life and goes on a date with a guy she found on a dating site. But after her date night, she doesn’t come back to home.
Interesting fact is : Her sister Rosie gets really scared. Not because of something bad happened to her sister but because of probability that something bad happened to her sister’s date.
Laura fights with the demons of her past and had a dysfunctional childhood with daddy and commitment issues. Any man approaches her is dead or disappears! So there must be something wrong with her or she might be trouble magnet who chooses the wrong candidates all the time.
This is my first tango with this writer. I heard lot about her previous book. But I think this one is real page turner, mind bender, thrilling, gripping one. You want to learn all the secrets the characters kept! Because starting with Laura , sister Rosie, her husband Joe, even their close friend Gabe, Laura’s last date are not telling the whole truth!
You keep turning the pages to know what’s gonna happen next! With the clever misdirection of writer you may reach the never see it coming conclusion. ( honestly I was expecting this one but still it was great twist)
So the character development, fast paced storytelling, never ending anticipation keep my attention awake and made me love this book so much! At least it took my one sleepless night!...more

Nope this sound is not coming from my husband who repeatedly hits the axe to the kitchen door to save from cooking another disastrous, poisonous dish!
BAAAMMM!!! And again this sound doesn’t belong to my crazy neighbor who sings all day and parties at night, finally younger version of Robert Downey Jr. runs into his house with his car but sorry this is not also the voice of a car’s crushing into wall.
BAMM!! Yes, you got it right! I’m hitting my thick head against the wall as a punishment not to read this series before. ( I firstly did it when I start “Bear and Nightingale” trilogy which turned into my all time favorite series. So yes, life is too short to procrastinate to read the best written books! Stop scrolling your phone or surfing through the channels air the shows for dumbs. Just read and read and read! I think this might be my quote or motto!)
This is my upgraded review: And here we go: Victor and Eli’s competition to eliminate each other might be reminded you; Charles Xavier and Erik Lehsherr’s never ending rivalry ( personally I always had a hard time to choose between two hot man, with his sexy Scottish charisma McAvoy already stole my heart years ago but don’t forget Fassbender’s amazing Irish and German heritage, we saw the big parts of it at his movie “Shame”)
So this book is a quite mash-up of X-Men – Boys ( because they are not originally super humans, they’re created at the labs as like Boys’ notorious super humans who are also bad guys like these two on this book!) –Flatliners ( if you skip Oliver Platt’s character, this reminds me of Bacon- Sutherland and Roberts trio. Two guys and a smart girl triangle)
Story-telling is fast paced, stunning, entertaining. There are too many details seem like unimportant but you have to pay attention when you read some of Schwab’s books because every detail means something at the end to complete the entire puzzle and see the whole picture.
All the characters have too many dark sides, complex, suffering from jealousy, hatred, narcissism and having sociopathic tendencies make most of the readers detest them and skip this book but I actually find this realistic and sensible because this book is not the heroes’ story who want to do the right thing. This is a battle between the pure evil and lighter evil: They both do whatever it takes to defeat the other.
I also loved the sisters’ complex, deadly, love-hate relationship and cliffhanger at the end was the fantastic touch. So time to move on the next book! This author is evil master of dark thrilling, enjoyable books!...more

Another Flashback Saturday and I’m rereading, reviewing ( alternated version) and discussing another brilliant and one of my favorite Colho novels.
And surprise it’s a mindf*cking, WTH I just read kind of jaw dropping, intense, shocking thriller.
Yes, there’s semi- white Colho writes about angsty love stories about sweetest characters and there’s very dark Colho who writes thrilling, heart pounding, disturbing stories about not so sweet characters. This book is an absolute product of dark Colho targets psychological thriller lovers.
Verity has three main characters: ghost writer Lowen, grieving father and charismatic husband Jeremy and his poor ill wife/ a phenomenal best selling author Verity! All of them are dealing with inner demons kind of flawed, exhausted, damaged characters.
Lowen and Jeremy meets in the middle of the tragedy. They witness a man’s dying in the middle of Manhattan street. A truck hits a man as he checks his phone and his blood splats on Lowen’s shirt. Jeremy wants to help her, following Lowen to a men’s restroom at a cafe and borrows his white shirt because Lowen is in a hurry. She will have an important meeting with her publisher.
Guess who bumps into her in the elevator and pushes the same floor button? Lowen and Jeremy meet again and not so coincidentally they are attending the same publisher meeting.
Lowen finds out her publisher wants her service to finish famous author Verity Crawford’s last novels of very popular series. And dear Jeremy I’d husband of Verity! Sorry Lowen, your bizarre love story about the girl meets the boy in a tragic circumstances took a frustrated turn!
Well, Lowen sees this as a good chance for her career. After she loses her mother to cancer, she needs to focus on something and Jeremy who recently pulled out her little daughter’s body from the lake, dealing with his sick wife who is paralyzed, incapacitated because of car crash, lying on a bed all day were perfect traumatized team for finishing this job.
Lowen feels attraction to Jeremy from the beginning but he’s married man who is grieving so she shouldn’t take advantage of his situation, should she?
But when she finds the secret manuscript of Verity changes everything! Verity poured out her dirty secrets, her complex feelings to this manuscript: a kind of manifestation tells how far you go to be the best author!
