Specially at the beginning of the story, which has left me confused and with a lot of unanswered questions. There was a lot of cursing as well, maybe a little too much. And the ending disappointed me.
Jax's behavior at the beginning was somewhat weird. After reaching the end of the book, it doesn't make quite sense to me. Because if he knew her, why did he react the way he did once Clyde said who Calla was? He was so willing to grab a drink with her, knowing perfectly who she was, and then, when Clyde announces she's Mona's daughter, he tells her to leave? Wow. Just. Wow.
Anyway, moving on. I thought the fact Calla is a blue-eyed blonde girl with full lips was rather cliché. I don't know, maybe it was because the heroine in the last book I read was also blonde, with blue eyes and full lips.
I had a great time reading this book regardless and I'm sure I'm becoming a J. Armentrout's fan. Though I didn't love this book, I certainly liked it. The writing is nice and the storyline was not bad either....more

It bothered me how she was able to trust in someone she barely knew, but hey, I guess people are all different.
Apart from that, the characters felt real and understandable. The writing was also good, especially compared to the last book I read.
I might be reading the sequels somewhere in the future....more
