First things first! This is the SECOND book in the series. If you really want to understand and get the full effect of this series you must start with book 1 "Believe" this is the second book in the series "Chasing Shadows" by Mia Fox. Rabidfaery gives this book 3 1/2 stars. It tells a very emotional tale that while you may never have a paranormal equivalent. if you've loved and lost it will have you thinking a lot and rooting for that point of happiness for both Ella & Ethan. It also really makes you love Nate. I thought that the adventure added a lot to this book. With all the emotional intensity it was another wild and suspenseful experience to see if they might all end up like Nate and the story could've got an even more confusing love triangle. "Trust" is a novella length book that will have you on an emotional roller coaster right up to the very end. If you're a fan of romance that has a blend of paranormal quirk than pick up "Trust" by Mia Fox. This was the first series I've read by her and I'll absolutely be checking out more! ...more

It’s called breaking symmetry. To her, a mirror feels like a film of honey. She can reach through it, grab things…even step inside.
On the other side she lives every teenager’s fantasy: a universe all her own, zero consequences. She can kiss the hot guy, break into La Jolla mansions, steal things…even kill. When finished, she just steps back into reality and smashes the mirror—and in an instant erases every stupid thing she did. Gone. It never happened.
But breaking symmetry is also dangerous. First there’s the drug-like rush she gets when passing through the glass, like a shot of adrenaline. She suspects it’s degrading her body, making a new copy of her each time. A reflection of a reflection, each one a little hazier. Then, of course, there’s the risk of getting cut off from reality.
When she narrowly escapes a military quarantine zone with the San Diego Police Department hot on her heels only to discover her escape mirror littering the floor in shards, her worst fear is realized. Now, trapped in a broken reflection, she must flee through a mind-bending maze of mirrors, going deeper into the nightmare as she struggles to grasp a betrayal, uncover the chilling truth about her ability, and somehow find a way out of a dead-end universe that “never happened.” Somehow she must find her way home " I thought that this was a fantastic read! Dan Rix has a really interesting take on physics, both theoretical and in Broken Symmetry applied physics. Even for the basic YA sci- fi/ thriller enthusiast this book fits the bill . From the point of view of Blaire Adams ; a 16 yr. old with enough intelligence to have gotten herself legally emancipated in La Jolla San Franciscoq t b c...more

Ok let's just jump in and say Five Stars easy!! I was so excited to be given a chance to read an advance copy of "Mortal Danger" from Ann Aguirre's newest series "Immortal Games"! In a YA paranormal genre book I was riveted from the first page. The book is from Edith's P.O.V. it starts off with her heading off on her way to commit suicide. Having parents who are both genius level Professors her household is a loving one in all ways but physical . Edie goes to an expensive school that like all schools has that popular clique that has cruelty in the job description . Regardless of if you are the person actually be cruel or hurtful to another person , or you just observe and don't stop it, you're part of it. The main character in this book is pushed to the edge when the " Teflon Squad " does something horrible to Edith and posts it on the internet. This actually happens in so many high schools & middle schools these days maybe reading about it from the p.o.v. of the taunted will make a few people think twice. After this embarrassing event Edith makes her choice. Being an exemplary student she figured out the best way to commit suicide so as not to make a mess, make things to hard in her parents, or possibly survive . For any of us who have tried these are things that go through your mind when you start thinking of killing yourself. In this tale they call the moment when you've crossed the threshold into a definite suicide "Extremis". At this point Kian arrives in the story. Incredibly good looking & kind he offers Edie a fantastic, or possibly disastrous deal to grant her three wishes to be used with in a certain time frame. Kian works for a very powerful and "cold" partnership. This book has awesome supernatural twists that come from all those Urban Legends that have been told for years. Combining them all in a tale where teenagers could do life altering things if they follow their own personal best scenario. Problem is you're not allowed to know what that scenario is. If you use your wishes wrong & it changes the outcome that your "sponser" wants you essentially become a slave to their enterprise and offer the deal to other people at their moment of "Extremis" . Edie and Kian make a great pair of lead characters! When Edie starts seeing the downside of wanting revenge it may be to late. When every choice you make could have a mortal outcome for you, your friends, even your enemies life it becomes a lot harder to enjoy. Seeing her enemies fall isn't all Edie thought it would be. With all the supernatural characters it was a real pleasure to read. As with any book by Ann Aguirre it grabs hold of your attention and does not let go until the last page. "Mortal Danger" is no different. Beautifully written, exquisitely creepy I can't wait for the next book to come out in this series. Even though this is a YA title I would recommend it to any age group or gender. The book keeps you guessing right up to the last page. Fans of "Gameboard of The Gods", Anti- Goddess, spooky tales and games from childhood should add this book to their to be read list immediately ! Keep checking back to Mousehead and Tales book reviews for more reviews, giveaways, & sneak peaks. "Mortal Danger" earned five stars. Ann Aguirre never ceases to amaze . "CLUB DISHABILLE
Alex Marchand doesn't know how to do things by half, even when on medication to control his impulsiveness. It's a struggle he's had since childhood. When he falls, he falls hard and he falls fast. Luckily, he found a girl as foolish as Dahlia Warwick, a woman who has codependency down to an art. Club Dishabille is a novel that gives the reader the hearts and flowers they expect and only the palest of pink bottoms. Arden explores the subject of BDSM with readers who may not quite be ready for a safeword.
Dahlia and Alex, two people with limited experience in exploring what they desire, discover a new definition of romance while finding their way together. Club Dishabille spanks the genre of romance, but delivers the happily ever after.
Club Dishabille is a love story for those who want it a little bit rougher.
MORPHOSES
Morphoses is a novel of transitions. It starts where Dishabille left off and it includes two of the more minor characters from that novel. The title itself gives the reader a hint into Miranda's kink. While a good bit of the story revolves around Miranda indulging this, there's another transformation that is taking Nicholas kicking and screaming into a normal functioning sexual relationship. By the end you will love Miranda and Nick as much as Dahlia and Alex.
Morphoses is a love story for those who are ready for a bit more than just a spanking.
FORCE MAJEURE
Force Majeure takes us on a lustful journey of near obsession, past the normal niceties of sex and romance, and into the intricate mind of Jeff Rainier. A mind both complex and simple. He knows the rules, but doesn't always want to understand them.
Evan Monroe was looking for more in her life, but was unconvinced there was such a thing. She was bored, and unnecessarily jaded. But, she'd try anything once; twice if you begged.
Jeff Rainier turned out to be a force that was almost too hard for her to handle.
Force Majeure is a novel that tries to define love, but only confuses the matter."
All three of these books focused on a different type of sexual sub sets. I really enjoyed the way that the author focused on some aspects that aren't usually discussed in serial style Erotica. Starting the series by introducing Dahlia was genius. Dahlia is a woman who enjoys being a submissive and now that her daughter is old enough for her to focus on her own social life again she dives right in. Contacting the owner of the local BDSM club & meeting up with her brings the reader into the world of sexual exploration. Patrons of the club can make use of the clubs privacy rooms/ dungeons or just mingle to find others that might share what intrigues are on display. I really enjoyed the flipping of p.o.v. in all 3 stories. It gave me a clear understanding of what each character was thinking. The trilogy touches on 3 very different sexual kinks that were written in a way I found very sexy. Out of the three couples that were focused on in this trilogy I REALLY enjoyed Evan and Jeff. Evan with her beautiful hair and her need for a dominant that could really bring the fear to the surface. Anyone who gets aroused by this type of bed play has had that awful awkward experience ; your partner wants to please you sexually but doesn't really enjoy being a Dom. It's awful for all parties involved. Not only was I.T. guy Jeff quiet, a little geeky, and VERY awkward in social settings. The type of things he needed to meet his sexual satisfaction would be very hard for a person like him to articulate to the woman of his long term fantasy Evan. As mentioned earlier once you've read the first book and get to know the quirky relationship that she has with her daughters father Nick, her.. well I won't spoil it by saying how her relationship with Alex and his sister Miranda becomes;) but suffice to say that by the time you finish this trilogy you'll have some new ideas for your paramour and you'll never look a tech guys the same again. A huge plus for this author was that although it would take a lot of really open minded people to pull off what Dahlia, Alex, Nick, Miranda, Evan , and of course my favorite Jeff endure to find their H.E.A. Arden wrote the characters like they could be anyone you work with , live next door to, even see yourself in. The sex scenes are very graphic and this series is absolutely aimed at a mature audience . Rabidfaery was turned on while reading this set. It earned 3 1/2 stars and I've added this author as one to keep an eye on! If you enjoy Erotica and exploring different facets of the sub cultures with in this is a really good series to check out. You can find more books by this author listed on Goodreads and Amazon. There's even some paranormal books with a gothic twist that I'm getting ready to read! Anyone who reads my blog knows I'm an avid lover if faery I was very excited to take part in the tour for "Fae- The Wild Hunt" by Graham Austin King. Anyone who reads my blog knows I'm an avid lover if faery tales. I'm NOT talking about the Disney versions that make you think of the pixie Tinkerbell & pixie dust. There is nothing nice about a Fae regardless of wether they are part of the light or dark court. True faery tales are scary, violent, full of inhumane manipulative , arrogant creatures. WARNING! DANGEROUS! Stamped all over them since the beginning of tales being told around Irish and Scottish fires.. The only thing pleasant about these tales is the fragrant heather or peat put atop the fire emitting a fragrance that with the outdoors backdrop gave a community a reason to gather & keep their numbers aware and safe if all things that creep into the forest. Fae - the Wild Hunt followed along right in the footsteps of many grand bards telling a tale through multiple points of view .first you meet Devin @ just a wee ten years of age. Living in an abusive environment with an alcoholic father who beats his mother and eventually Devin himself. When Devin's Da takes the abuse farther than Devin's Mother will tolerate any longer she protects herself & Devin & runs to a childhood friends inn to stay for the night and prepare to flee town. The adventure takes off right from those first couple chapters. When Devin's "adventure" to go find his estranged grandparents in a neighboring town go violently astray. Mother is injured, cured, and than taken by a amber eyed creature in the woods as payment for aid and Devin is left at the base of a tree. When a farmer who lost his own son comes across Devin he takes him home to his wife Hannah. Devin has no clue where to go so he stays with Hannah and her Husband . The story goes on over a period of years. Many characters are introduced . The book is action packed when the Fae decide they've been banned from our realm to long & plan to fight to walk amongst humans again . This is the point where we're introduced to Klöss. He's an Oarsman & being trained as a soldier to fight against the Droo's. With several castes of Fae the battle with this one is going to be violent. As a lover of fantasy books that paint a vivid image if it's characters . Realistically show that no side is 100% good or bad. I found myself drawn into this book and turning pages as time flew by. Though I dread a cliff-hanger when I've come to think of the characters as friends this book does leave you dangling quite precariously ! I would absolutely recommend this book to a wide variety if readers. It's enjoyable for both woman and men alike. There's adventure, suspense, violence, bits of romance all wound up in a fantastical world that is described to a point that's vivid . Mousehead & Tales gives this book an excited 4 stars and will absolutely be keeping my eye out for more stories by Grahm Austin- King!...more

I'm really enjoying the way each couple have turned their issues that caused misunderstandings and pain , loneliness & longing into kinks where they can meet people looking exactly for what these characters have. Being a switch mistress is a hard task to master. I'm proud to be able to call myself one. When you fulfill a sub or Dom's needs it's an intense bond that holds it's own sensuality. The author captured the tenderness a Dom feels for his/ her sub. The pride in their bravery & the need for praise and tenderness . Though only after every command has been met to the Dom's approval.Equally A.A. captured the beauty of a submissive. How it doesn't mean weak or pathetic. It takes guts, testing your pain threshold is a painful & tense procedure. So far this series has impressed me with these aspects ...more
