Things are kicking up for the club, and not in a good way: old enemies are still around, a new enemy is now in the picture, some members have their own personal issues to deal with, they've also got to deal with the Feds. Never a dull moment for the Sydney Storm MC. As much as I enjoyed the interaction and chemistry between Devil and Hailee, I do wish she'd been a bit more knowledgeable about the MC life; she came across as a bit too naive for me, but maybe that's one of the things that drew Devil to her in the first place....more

As much I love King and Bear, there's just something about Preppy that had me in his corner right from the start when he and King first met back in elementary school. With this book, we get the story on Preppy's entrepreneurial skills while King is locked up, and let's just say it's an interesting operation that involves grannies...and a pig. Preppy is also doing what he can to get Max out of the foster care system. I wasn't sure how a love interest would be worked into the story, but I should know by now to not question the workings of T.M. Frazier's diabolical mind because she got the story to work. This is probably one of the most unconventional love stories (if not the MOST unconventional) I've read. As with the previous books, this one I pretty much read in one sitting because I just had to know how things would play out. Remember when I mentioned Ms. Frazier's diabolical mind? Yeah, that was pretty much evident by the ending of this book. If you've read any of her earlier works, you know she'll write the first book with a cliffhanger. And when I got to this book's cliffhanger? I was ready to throw my e-reader across the room. I cannot wait until the second book is released....more

I love how she was able to blend past and present seamlessly, so we get the story told in duality. This is a love story that not only is twenty years in the making, it focuses on a love that is binding and so deep that it breaks traditions and rules that have been in place for years. I'm talking hundreds of years. A love so binding and all it took was one kiss. But will everyone be accepting of the binding set forth 20 years prior? This book is an absolute must read!...more

Catalano and I absolutely loved this trilogy! This is a great blend of edgy suspense with firecracker hot chemistry, plenty of twists and turns that had me wanting to read non-stop (that's kind of frowned upon if you happen to operating a motor vehicle though). Gemma's situation is something no one wants to be caught up in, and the way it plays out is a wild rollercoaster, especially once she and Alexander are together; they generate enough heat to probably melt your undergarments straight off your body. Alexander is the ultimate alpha male: all dark and mysterious and swoony and sexy. This is one fantastic trilogy that I highly recommend!...more

Polly and Lucan have been married for eight years and their relationship has become so routine Polly knows exactly how their bedroom trysts play out every time, hence the reason she's now adult videos and has special toys. From the synopsis you can tell her husband walks in at the wrong (or is it the right?) time.
Lucan's shocked at first, but that doesn't last long before things change for them. What I liked about this book (apart from the smexy times) is the fact that Polly didn't stray outside her marriage; they're both still in love with each other, it's just that Polly wants more when it comes to the physical aspect of their marriage. Once they're each other the initial shock of discovering (and being discovered), they indeed begin to up the spice with their bedroom time. Hands down (no pun intended), the hottest part of this book for me was when Lucan took control of the situation and the scene that occurred once he had Polly blindfolded. If I'd known it was going to be that hot, I damn sure wouldn't have read this book at work!...more

Brooke Barker's best friends Carly and Cain Elliott have affectionately nicknamed her Hot Mess and that the perfect name for her. Brooke is the youngest of three siblings and realized early in life that she's not the perfect child her older siblings are (although the description of her brother isn't exactly pillar of the community lol). Brooke doesn't let the fact that she's not the overachiever define her, instead she revels in it that knowledge; that and how much she's able to shock her mother.
Brooke's been in love with Cain forrrrreverrrrr but has never said anything for fear it would destroy their friendship; she's resigned herself to the fact that her love is unrequited. Cain's current relationship is seven levels of toxic and full of jealousy on the girlfriend's side. There were a couple of times early in the story that Cain attempted to pull a d-bag move in regards to a couple of social events in which Brooke would also be in attendance, but thankfully Brooke put him in his place. I will say that Cain isn't the type to stop being friends with Brooke and Carly simply because he has a girlfriend, but it does take strong words from Carly to make him finally see the truth about his relationship.
I'd think that with the not so friendly feelings between Brooke and Nina there'd be more drama, but thankfully there isn't. Brooke provides enough drama to the story with her not so secret feelings for Cain. I loved how Cain finally forced Brooke to open up about her feelings for him, and that she was scared about how it would affect their friendship. He was the level-headed voice of reason when they finally decided to test the waters and take their relationship to the next level. The epilogue was perfect, that was one I didn't see coming, but it was awesome to see how many people believed in Brooke.
With this book, you not only get the antics of Hot Mess Brooke, you get a great cast of secondary characters in the both the Barker and Elliott families, as well as Brooke's other best friend Carly. But hands down my absolute favorite is Brooke's Grandpa James. I wish we got to see him a bit more in the story, although from now on I won't be able to see those balloon-shape creations the same way again. This is a standalone, but I'm also hoping we get a story about Carly and Cain's brother Zeke, I have a feeling their story would be just as entertaining....more
I enjoy a good taboo story and was excited to read this one, bit this ended being a whole bunch of nope from start to finish for me. I couldn't relateI enjoy a good taboo story and was excited to read this one, bit this ended being a whole bunch of nope from start to finish for me. I couldn't relate to any of the characters in this book. I understand being stressed from working and going to school, but to be so concerned about your social life to the point you decide to steal exams? You get caught and then get offended when you're given an ultimatum? Hello, you just stole exams, can you really get offended?
Lisa and her "friends" seem to be a part of the "me" generation: I want the reward but I don't want to have work for it. They don't want to put forth the effort to do the actual work, but they'll buckle down and study those stolen exams like there's no tomorrow.
There were a few inconsistencies in this book: Professor Thompson is discussing 19th century literature, yet they're discussing James Steinbeck's "The Grapes of Wrath". Which was published in 1939 (if 1939 is now part of the 19th century, I must be 143 years old since I was born in 1973). Another error is the name of Lisa's friend Jamie. We first know him as Jamie Fenwick, but later in the story it's Jamie Faulkner. Not sure if roommate Jo got a new BAE or if the original name was forgotten (we first know him as Brian, later the name is Zac).
The end is almost as unbelievable as the rest of the book: a statement is made that outside of the sexy times, they're strangers, but yet they're madly in love with each other ...more

Fallowfield, and couldn't wait to read this book. I will say that it started off a bit slow for me, but it didn't take long for the story to really begin to pick up. Once it did, it was hard to put the book down. As far as the characters go, I wasn't really feeling Billy; there was just something about him that had me hesitant on embracing him in the story. Josh is the younger brother who feels like he's not good enough, especially compared to his older brother Nate. Early on in the story seems to be a love-square since all three want to date Sky and she's not sure which direction her heart will lead her (although it's pretty obvious to us readers). But the path to love isn't smooth; in fact this particular road has more potholes and twists and turns than the streets of D.C. There are a couple of events that had me gasping in shock; I couldn't swipe fast enough to find out what happened. The last third of the book definitely had me feeling some type of way, but that's usually how I feel when I read one of Ms. Fallowfield's books. ...more
Cute story, it's a quick read (I had in finished in about 35 minutes). Talk about opposites attracting! Scott is the type of guy who is still friends Cute story, it's a quick read (I had in finished in about 35 minutes). Talk about opposites attracting! Scott is the type of guy who is still friends with his ex-wife, and they're out celebrating the impending New Year with their daughter and the daughter's soon-to-be fiance when Scott volunteers to rescue a driver who needs to a tow truck. When Patrick is introduced to the story, I will say that I just didn't like his attitude; he came across all snobbish and hoity-toity (a phrase I never thought I'd use in a review!)
Sparks fly once Scott makes it to Patrick's location and Scott realizes why Patrick is in town. The banter between the men is witty and fun, and after that kiss, my goodness you know there's the possibility of more between these two. My only issue is that because this is a novella, we don't get a lot of character development and the chance to see a relationship develop between Patrick and Scott. But still, a fun and light-hearted read!...more
