4.5 stars – I loved this one and I absolutely enjoyed it more than Still Beating. Lotus is a spinoff of SB, about another character who was mentioned 4.5 stars – I loved this one and I absolutely enjoyed it more than Still Beating. Lotus is a spinoff of SB, about another character who was mentioned who got kidnapped, but his character was taken as a child. Oliver was kidnapped and raised by a stranger to believe the world was ending, and he eventually manages to escape decades later as an adult. But the world is completely different for him now – just thinking about how things changed from the early 2000s to the 2020s, it would be like another planet for Oliver. He has a difficult time adjusting, understandably. The one thing he can rely on though, is his childhood best friend, Sydney, who never forgot about him.
I loved the connection between Sydney and Oliver. They have to rebuild their friendship which is slow and painful, but this book and romance had my heart aching. I was feeling terrible for Oliver and what he went through, I was feeling for Sydney and her empathy towards him. They were just SO good together.
The only reason I’m giving this 4.5 instead of 5 stars though... is because I feel like Oliver adjusted to present day as an adult way too easily. Like yes, it probably wouldn't have worked for the romance if the hero had the mind of a child as an adult, but that’s my only gripe with this story. It’s not believable, but I still loved the fiction of it....more
3.5 stars! Better than book 1, but I'm still not totally sold on the series, as much as I wish I were. It sounds sooo good in theory, but the romances3.5 stars! Christopher is the youngest brother, and he’s the one who’s been spoiled the most and has never had to work for anything... at least not until he meets the heroine. He decides to prove to his brothers that he’s not THAT spoiled or privileged by going on a backpacking trip in Europe for about a year with little to no money or amenities. He struggles so hard, and it’s hilarious. Just imagine this dude who’s used to 5 star hotels and private planes, having to survive with barely anything. He got humbled quick.
The heroine Hayden is also backpacking and she meets Christopher at a hostel they're both staying at. She rejects him hard and puts him in the friend zone immediately, but the rest of the book is just Christopher trying to prove that he’s perfect for Hayden. He’s not, but he works on himself for sure. It’s a super entertaining book to read, where we have a hero who’s used to getting what he wants, but the heroine says no and makes him work for her. I honestly can’t say why this one worked better for me compared to the other books but I had a lot of fun with it!...more

Friends to lovers! Mafia romance! Lino and Samara have been best friends since childhood and he’s actually loved her since he was 10. But him loving her puts her in danger so he lets her go. Unfortunately, the man she eventually marries is abusive and Samara doesn’t tell anyone about this until she manages to get a divorce. This is when Lino has had enough and goes after his woman. He pretty much forces her to live with him and marry him so he can protect her. He's a very typical Adelaide Forrest hero so if you've enjoyed any of the other heroes in this series, you'll definitely like Lino.
The plot is pretty predicable but still enjoyable. I actually loved the friends to lovers aspect, which I thought it was well done. It was very close to 4 stars for me, but the heroine makes some frustrating decisions that hurts not just herself, but other people, that brought this down a bit for me....more

Mixed Signals is easily my favorite of the series so far, because Layla and Caleb are ADORABLE. We have a hero who has been pining over the heroine since forever, pining for her from afar, and she has no idea. They're from the same small town and he goes into her little bakery every single week to get some delicious baked goods, and also to see a glimpse of her. How can you not love him???
Caleb doesn’t have the best luck in relationships, and when he finds out that the woman he's crushing on doesn’t either, he comes up with a proposition. The two of them will date for one month with no strings attached so they can figure out where they’ve been going wrong in their dating lives. I guess you could call this a fake dating romance, but it's also not really one, because they do actually date... there just happens to be an expiration date.
Layla and Caleb are SO cute together. I loved them, and I loved how Caleb was basically just trying to make Layla fall in love with him with this proposition. The romance is so sweet, so feel good. Caleb and Layla are two very precious characters who need to be protected at all costs....more

Winnie is the divorced, jaded heroine who thinks her sister is marrying the wrong man and tries to matchmake her with their best friend since childhood, Steven. She concocts all these wild and hilarious plans (the tubble scene is GENIUS) that actually make Winnie and Steven closer instead.
What Winnie doesn’t know is that Steven is actually in love with her, not her sister. If you love friends to lovers, a hero who falls first, a hilarious heroine, and sisters who are super tight knit, you need to read this novella!...more
Everybody and their mother has been talking about Lovelight Farms and the whole Lovelight series, so I finally decided to read this first book! I was Everybody and their mother has been talking about Lovelight Farms and the whole Lovelight series, so I finally decided to read this first book! I was really excited to see that it was a friends-to-lovers Christmas romance, because I do love me some friends-to-lovers. It ended being an ADORABLE read, and perfect to read for the holiday season!
Stella has just taken over Lovelight Farms, but she needs a lot of money to save this Christmas tree farm. So she enters a contest with an influencer to get some publicity and hopefully win the $100K prize at the end. The onlyyy thing is... she lied on the application by saying that she runs the farm with her boyfriend... who does not exist.
This is where her best friend Luka saves the day – he agrees to pretend to be her very loving boyfriend/partner. What Stella doesn’t know though, is that Luka has wanted to be her boyfriend in real life for a very long time. We have an excellent pining hero here, which I always love to see. Stella herself is clueless and very much in denial about her feelings and about Luka’s feelings, which can get frustrating for some, but it didn’t bother me that much. I just loved the whole fake relationship aspect and the whole Christmas tree farm setup. Lovelight Farms was so much fun – if you’re looking for a feel-good, cozy read, this would be perfect....more
