Ok. So call me nerdy,a lover of low-brow humor,whatever, but I loved this book. My life hasn't been nearly as tough as the narrator of this book, but I wouldn't have survived it if I had taken myself as seriously as some reviewers want the narrator to take his situation. I found his ingenuity and irreverence in spite of certain doom refreshing. Anyone who wanted a seriously tense story of survival should have put the book down after they read " I'm fucked" in the first sentence. If the author had taken that tone with the book, that would have been depressing. I will bet all of those who thought that this book lacked drama liked the movie Titanic.
