OMG. OMG. OMG. I loved this book so much. I feel so giddy over how much I loved this book. This is the best romance I've read since The Hating Game and I guarantee if you love The Hating Game then you will also love this book. HUGE THANK YOU again to Stephanie Sprinkle for recommending me this book!

This book follows Drew, a divorce attorney and Emerie, a marriage counselor when she accidentally rents his office space while Drew is away on vacation and gets conned. He comes back from vacation to find her in his office and she thinks he's a burglar and it's hilarious and adorable and she realizes she's paid a stranger ten thousand in cash for an office that isn't even available for rent. So he tries to help her out and lets her stay in his office space for a while until she can get back on her feet, and a cute, flirty romance ensues. I am obsessed with cute office romances and this book has the BEST office romance with so much sexual tension, it is wonderful.

I feel like the title and cover of this book are a little misleading because it makes it seem as if it's going to be one of those new adult books with sex being the only major plot point, but OMG this story had so much going on. There's a huge plot twist about Drew's character about half way through the book that changes everything about him and only made me fall for him even more. (view spoiler) I loved the slow burn romance that takes place with Drew and Emerie, it's definitely over a long period of time and in the beginning she's interested in this other guy named Baldwin who never shows her any interest. I loved their banter about whether marriage can really last and it's ironic because her job is counselling married couples so they can last and work it out and his job is a divorce attorney and fighting out the legal shit when a couple decides to call it quits. So their ideas about marriage are very different obviously which makes for some great conversation.

I just loved this book. Just like The Hating Game it has the perfect combination of sexy, fun, cute and humor all wrapped into an office romance with sexual tension and a charming lead male character that made me swoon constantly. I couldn't help but picture this as a romantic comedy movie starring Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone. (I mean her name is Emerie in this and he constantly calls her "Em" AND they mention constantly that she's a red-head so how could I not???) Anyways, I ADORED them together and they've very quickly become a new OTP for me.

I can't believe this is the first book I've ever read from this author. Her writing is so fucking good. I guarantee I'll be reading more from this author as soon as freaking possible. The pacing of her writing is perfect and she has a great sense of humor with loveable characters and I LOVE IT. Highly recommend this! If you love a good romance, do yourself a favor and read this book.

Irene I feel exactly the same. She has the ability to make amazing dialogues between the couple that makes your either drop to the floor laughing or swooning. I've read 2 other books of her "Bossman" and "Stuck-Up Suit" that were equally enjoyable.

menna hafez I am reading this book now and your review feel more excited about it, thanks Gabby ❤❤
