really liked it
bookshelves: audio, historical, v-card

This book isn’t for everyone. The writing is really dry and the narrator reads it dry but for some reason it worked for me. I know. Crazy?

The audio was great for me while I worked because it was really slow and dry and I was able to follow along as I did my job.

The main heroine is really tough and when she cut her leg to use her blood I was all in. The hero is kind interesting. He’s caring but kind of a Buffon? So the star of the book is the heroine.

The accent was really hard to listen to and this is coming from someone who loves accents. I’ve never heard such a thick Scottish accent. But soon enough I was able to grasp the words and didn’t think anything of it. I just wasn’t able to speed up the volume like I usually do when I listen to books.

Again. This is not for everyone but it passed the time for me.
