it was amazing
bookshelves: coming-of-age, debut, drama, historical-fiction, lgbtq, mythology-related, retellings, romance, war
Read 3 times. Last read July 18, 2022 to July 26, 2022.

It took me one week to read the first half, and today to read the remaining half.

Epically, poetically wonderfully written.
As a greek person, I've had Odyssey and Iliad as lessons in junior high school and high school. This was a refreshing perspective on the story from Patroclus point of view, as it enlightened me with details I failed to see in the past, as well as details that make the story richer and more real and authentic.

I couldn't give anything less than five stars.
