it was amazing
bookshelves: computer-security

A good history of the history of semiconductors/computer chips, with a focus on the companies and geopolitical implications. The second half of the book is primarily about the national security issues of concentration in Taiwan and Korea (due to China risk), sovereignty, China's efforts to build their own independent supply chain, and the military and economic risks of losing access to semiconductors.
