"The Silent Patient" by Alex Michaelides starts with an intriguing premise and strong writing, immediately drawing readers into a gripping psychological thriller.

This book is a decent read, with clues, suspicious characters, and clever red herrings that keep you engaged. However, the plot might require some suspension of disbelief at times.

There is a major twist in the story which will take many by surprise, though if you're familiar with the genre, you might see it coming early on. This twist, while shocking, also raises questions about the coherence of the first half of the book.

The story moves quickly, thanks to short chapters that maintain a fast pace. Overall, "The Silent Patient" is an enjoyable thriller. It's a good choice for a quick read. It's not deep, easy to follow, and a good choice for fans of the genre.
