DNF at 66%
I can't do any more of this. I'm bored bored bored.
The reader is treated like an idiot, what with all the unnecessary inner monologuing to drive character motivations home.
Even the copious amounts of spice is taxing, instead of being what it should be: hot.
Why the hell is this book so long?
And if it isn't actually a long book, then my point still stands. Why does it feel so long?
If this had gone through 3 more rounds of edits, mayyyybe. For what it is right now? I'm DNF'ing and not looking back.

Took a break to read reviews hoping it would hype me up to continue…I really like Hawke and want to love this…saw your review, glanced at my kindle and I’m at 66% 🤣 If I were further I think I could stick it out, but I don’t think I like it enough to push through, which makes me super sad 😞 I hate quitting…
