Otto Stallworth Jr. was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama during the time when that city was considered the most segregated city in the US. As A Black youth he faced many hardships but that didn't stop him from becoming a successful doctor. The book is an honest portrayal of his life and is written with honesty and humor. Friendships, love, marriages, the good and the bad times are are laid out in this book. The writing style is easy to read. The more I read the harder it was to put the book down. Dr. Stallworth shows great strength and determination. I am looking forward to reading volume 2. This is an excellent book and one everyone needs to read.
