DNF at 12% What a waste of my time. I kept hearing rave reviews but WHY? It started weak and got worse. Evie isn't engaging and her awkwardness isn't endearing. The Villain is cookie cutter.
That is two hours of my life that I will never get back.
UPDATE: I read several reviews where the BookTok five star fans of the book say it is great give it a chance, so I skipped to the final six chapters. It didn't make me want to go back and read the intervening chapters. I really wanted this to be great based on the hype, but it was still an enormous waste of my time.
My opinion for what it is worth, if you weren't following the author on TikTok where you got invested in the author, you probably want to give this one a miss.
