it was amazing

Reading an Elsie Silver book is like meeting for coffee with a beloved friend. It will be comforting, reliable, heartfelt, wildly entertaining and ultimately, I’ll end up feeling more happy and content than when I began.

Wild Eyes, book two in the Rose Hill series, continued on this tradition. I found myself immediately drawn to Skylar and the juxtaposition of her carefree spirit with the traumas that had led to her more solemn persona. And West (aka Coach thick thighs) was the lovable cinnamon roll needed to melt her tough exterior.

While sometimes the children in a single parent romance, can be detract or add no additional value to the overarching story, as Silver is brilliant at, these kids add to the story tenfold. Ollie is the gentle soul you can’t help but love and Emmy totally stole the show as I found myself laughing so hard at her witty quips.

This series keeps getting better. I cannot wait for Wild Side, releasing March 2024. In the meantime, enjoy Wild Love and Wild Eyes on KU, audio or paperback!
