EDIT; I changed my mind, 5⭐️ I can’t stop thinking about this book, in my non-stop thinking I realised there was never meant to be a big story on this book, it was all about the relationship between Paedyn & Kai and the storyline was an intentional secondary focus to move us from the beginning roll to the end without staying in Ilya and experience more of the kingdom & introduce new characters.
Well that hurt like a motherfucker.
My rating may seem a bit misleading. I am obsessed with this book and I have been forcing my friends to read it non-stop so I can talk to them about it. The banter was 10/10, the will they won’t they, Kai. Need I say more, all amazing. What let it down for me was I guessed the ending halfway through, and I spent the next half of the book with my heartbreaking because it was going to hurt Kai. The last chapter & epilogue ripped my heart out. Also the actual storyline of the book was kind of lost to the banter, which don’t get me wrong I ate up but if you’re looking for a literary masterpiece, this isn’t for you. The storyline was more of a background noise but that’s okay, still read it in 2 days.
