My review of Alien Clay.
So this is my first five star read of the year, better late than never, I guess. Reminds me a lot of the show Scavengers Reign with the way the aliens are portrayed. Very fascinating book that delved into themes of collectivism and binaries (even includes a non-binary character to make the point more clearly), among others. And the ending is a really satisfying one both just narratively and thematically.
