A great climactic ending to the Books of the North trilogy of the Black Company. It's actually a very traditional fantasy ending to the series which was a bit unexpected from Glen Cook.
Overall the world is expanded, there are multiple points of view, multiple timelines, huge twists and plenty of action. This is dark, mature fantasy at its finest.
