Although there wasn't much in the 'story' but the way it is written made me want to read more and never end it. It was a daily life journal of Martha Ballard - a midwife by profession and she recorded her journal every day. What happened in and around the town was very engaging. Though nothing gripping on sensational and yet the way the author has described everything made me feel like I am in that time.
