A wonderful telling of Cheryl Strayed’s experiences traversing the PCT after the death of her mother, disillusionment of her family structure, & ending of her marriage. Cheryl’s voice rang strongly throughout the novel, and though at times I think my lack of wilderness experience and interest may have inhibited me from really sinking my teeth into the narrative, I found myself enjoying this read. I think I found the ending a bit rushed, and would have liked to read more about Cheryl’s life after having completed the PCT.
