Magics and betrayals revealed

Jade is a baker and devoted to her work and her customers, sister Sienna, her gran and her mom. Her life is busy and quiet with moments of small magics that Jade cherishes, until the day the vampire shows up at the bakery and attempts to enter.

Thankful that her Gran’s wards are strong enough to protect her and those inside, Jade sets aside her fears and goes out dancing with her sister Sienna and Sienna’s boyfriend. They have a fun night until the wolves appear, and Jade learns of magical murders that involve her talismans, small necklace pendants she is inspired to make with tiny pieces of magic embedded inside. Jade appears she may be the murderer but it is clear she is not the perpetrator and has no knowledge of the evil being committed with her pendants.

Jade knows little of her powers as a magical dowser, one who can find others magically - but she must learn, and quickly, to protect her family and others. As magics are revealed and betrayals are uncovered she must discover who she is and embrace her gifts or perish.

I read the book in an afternoon and evening - awake until 2 am to finish, it was so engrossing. A fascinating novel, well written characters and shocker of an ending and an absolutely worthwhile read
