I'm waiting on book 3 which is due out next year.

message 3: by GeneralTHC (new)

GeneralTHC My name is Chuck. I'm from Fort Worth, Texas. I don't really have a favorite author either. I like just about anything that's a good read.

message 4: by Demetria (new)

Demetria (nickdemetria) | 1 comments My name is Demetria. I am from West Michigan and I love Love, LOVE a great book. I really don't have a "favorite" book or author as I find I like all sorts of styles and genre's. I look forward to traveling thru this book with the group.

message 5: by Debbie (new)

Debbie Droege (balancedeb) | 1 comments Hi I'm Debbie. I'm from New York City. It's hard to pick a favorite author but I have been reading a lot of books by Raymond Carver and Lorrie Moore lately. I haven't been part of a book club on Good Reads before. I'm looking forward to this one!

message 6: by Jessie (new)

Jessie Olson | 1 comments I'm Jessie from Worcester, Massachusetts. Like many bibliophiles, I can't pick one favorite book - but there are three novels that I will go back and re-read many, many times - Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte, Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison, and Atonement by Ian McEwan.

message 7: by Cheryl (new)

Cheryl (cdeal) Hi, I'm Cheryl from Sanford, FL. I know everyone is going to lambaste me for saying that my favorite author has always been Stephen King. Say what you will, the man spins a great yarn! I also love Nelson DeMille. But really, I love a great story more than anything. :o)

message 8: by Sue (last edited Dec 05, 2012 07:27AM) (new)

Sue Hi, I am Sue from the Midlands in Great Britian.

I do not have a favourite author anymore no-one I would have to rush out and buy their new book. I just like a good read that can incorporate any qualities, e.g entertaining, thought provoking, scary, etc

My favourite book would be 'To Kill A Mockingbird' by Harper Lee, I read it a school, I need to read it again as an adult to see if still has the same impact on me.

kwesi 章英狮 (kwesifriends) | 6 comments Hi, I'm Kwesi. I'm a student and currently taking my undergrad from a local university. Clue: I'm not a literature student or related to writing but I love reading so much that sometimes I forgot that I'm studying for exams. Haha.

Where are you joining us from?
I'm from Philippines and hope I could talk and discuss books to co-readers. I also wanted to share my passion for reading and suggest that Oprah's videos are not country restricted so that I could further understand and follow the flow of the book club without hassle.

What is your favorite book or author?
I can't remember anymore most of my favorite books but the first series that I read and enjoyed was A Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket. I read it a long, long time ago and much younger. Without it, I'm sure you will not meet me in Goodreads. I read anything, I'm not a picky reader and I'm currently trying to expound my knowledge about Philippine literature and literary fiction.

Have a nice day everyone.

message 10: by Theresa (new)

Theresa (theresa1975) I'm Theresa Mullins and I am from Cleveland, OH. It's easier to ask who my favorite author is from a genre because I do not just have one favorite author. I love John Saul and Bentley Little for my horror. Danielle Steel for my contemporary fiction. Johanna Lindsay and Lavyrle Spencer for romance. Charles Dickens and Jane Austen for the Classics. I just recently fell in love with Beverly Lewis' Amish fiction. I love to read and I have bookcases full of books of all genres.
