APPLE HARVEST CHALLENGE - Inspired by a trip to a farmer's market.



🍎Begins October 1st

🍏Levels:
Seed: 1 to 5 books
Blossom: 6 to 10 books
Fruit: 11 to 15 books
Tree: 16 to 20 books
Orchard: 21 to 25 books

TASKS:

There are over 2500 varieties in the United States, over 7500 worldwide!

McIntosh (crisp & slightly tart) - discovered in 1811
Read a book set in the 1800s.

Gala (crisp & mildly sweet)
Read a book where a special event or celebration occurs.
(ex: village fete, birthday party, holiday celebration, museum gala, country fair)

Red Delicious (crunchy & mildly sweet) - favorite snack
Read a book by a favorite author or the next in a favorite series.

Empire (juicy & sweet-tart) - cross between Delicious & McIntosh
Read a book that is cross-genre, i.e., classified as more than one genre. Must be two distinct genres, not a sub-genre.
(ex: mystery/romance or mystery/historical fiction NOT mystery-cozy mystery or fiction-historical fiction)

Not really. It is a fall to winter theme but the challenge will remain open. How long it takes depends on both the level you choose and your personal reading time.

I have another cozy from the library on my nightstand now and an ARC of a Kindle cozy in my ever growing digital TBR pile so we'll see if I make it to orchard.
