Space Opera Fans discussion

I know there are a TON of the stuffy Military/Captain falling for the heroine books, but I feel like I have exhausted my search. Any suggestions for this theme?

enemies to lovers is my favorite! Steamy is always a perk- not erotica necessarily, but I'm not picky as long as there is a good story there. No YA, please :)

Does this need to be a male captain? Just checking parameters before I start looking through my bookshelves. Lately I’ve been thinking more about female captains, not necessarily romance, so I don’t have anything to suggest yet.

No it sure does not. Matter of fact I JUST read one where it was a female captain and she was a hardass. I gotta think of what it was called!!!

Conflict of Honors by Sharon Lee and Steve Miller. This is a reasonable entry point to the Liaden Universe books. In this one the main POV character is Priscilla, and the captain is Shan. Yes romance, yes action, a lot of culture clashes and great characterization.

Ahhh it was Warleader with the badass chick Captain!

Space Deputy by Jenny Schwartz might fit this category as well. Not exactly a captain, but the sheriff and in charge of the ship they are on most of the time. That was one of our group reads too.

Try the Central Corps series by Elizabeth Bonesteel.

That was a good one. SG writes good space-opera with romances that are not overly explicit.
