Favorite January read: A tie between Mexican Gothic and A Children's Bible

But I guess This Savage Song and A Memory of Souls will stay with me in the most positive way, and also Firebreaker was a bit of a revelation. So, three of 16.5 (Split Tooth not listed) is as decisive as I'm gonna get.

Lot's of really good books, so I'll point out Bo-Young Kim for the new factor, and Seanan McGuire and C. L. Polk for keeping me interested.

Least favorite: None. All were good, all had something I could critique.

Is it fair to count them? Barring those, my next favorite was Swordheart, and I'd definitely count T. Kingfisher as the discovery of the year.

Least favorite: I DNFed Chilling Effect, so that one.
