Since their inception, Kindle and Kobo have each released 22 models. Additionally, there are numerous e-readers from brands like Onyx, Nook, and ReMarkable, among others. Which device do you prefer for reading e-books?

Theresa (mysteries.and.mayhem) (mysteriesandmayhem) | 134 comments I have a Kindle Paperwhite, which serves me very well for reading. But with that said, I'll read with the Kindle app on just about any device I have handy - my phone, iPad, even my computer. I never have an excuse not to be reading, no matter where I am or what I'm doing. :)

Same. I do prefer the Kindle. I think I would also like a Kobo but it's rare that I can't get the book I want on my Kindle (only once this year was it Kobo or nothing so I used the Kobo app on my Ipad).

Squire (srboone) | 56 comments I haven't made the jump to ebooks yet. But at work, I always have a Project Gutenberg text on my computer desktop to pass time. Currently, I'm reading The Flame by Gabrielle D'Annunzio, a survey of Italian literature from 1625 to 1907 as etext.

I carry my Kindle everywhere. Alway books at hand when I have a moment.

I wasn't at all convinced by e-books until my husband bought me a Kindle for my birthday. It feels so lie a 'proper' book that I often try to stick a bookmark in it!
