Family History

The Jennings family name has a short history. Starting as a brewery three years ago, the founder, inspired by his best friend's successful winery, Everston Winery, created a brewery business. In the beginning, things blew up, and the two were incredible partners. But, later, the Jennings brewery business began to struggle as their product was becoming less famous and outshined by competitors. In a last-ditch effort, the business became a winery after betraying the founder's best friend to steal a wine recipe.

Generations later, the tension still stands and the Jennings winery hasn't seen quite the success of the Everston winery. Even so, the rivalry between the two businesses stands.

Business, Business, Business

Being born into the Jennings family is not what anyone would expect. Persephone's expectations, or longings as a little kid, were having a relationship with her parents and older brother. And not so much with the maids. Sadly, only two of her three wishes were granted in her childhood.

Growing up, Persephone was tutored and cared for by babysitters and maids only. She was surrounded by only adults and her brothers. She rarely saw her parents. And when she did, it was for less than five minutes. Jealously became a quick issue for Persephone through this, as her older brothers both received plenty of attention from her parents. But all they seemed to think when she was around was business, business, business.

The Arranged Marriage

At 11 years old, Persephone remembers her life-changing moment. Her parents had created an arranged marriage. Something that would take place on her 21st birthday. A marriage meant to benefit the company. And even though she hated her heart being sold for money, she enjoyed the feeling of being wanted by her parents. The attention they paid her now that she had a place.

At 12, Persephone attended a ball with her to-be betrothed and family. At this, disaster struck. All because of the awful Everston name. She spotted their young daughter talking, well she decided it was flirting very quickly, with her to-be love. And then the saw girl's beautiful dress. Jealousy immediately took over and she watched her new enemy and one love leave each other and she decided to make a scene. And she sure did make one that ended in her ruining the dress she wished was in her own closet. Hey, at least that rat didn't have it anymore.

The years following were merely the same. Spending time with her then-boyfriend once they turned 14. Attend lovely parties. Hate the rat Everston. Repeat.

A Dream Come True

A year later, Persephone was sat down and told the arranged marriage was off. Why? Because her eldest brother had married the guys' older sister her parents had realized she'd be eligible to be in the selection in 3 years. And could become queen. And that was only the start of heaven.

Only a week later, she was scouted to become a model and became immediately fashion famous. Quite the dream for every girl. Right?

The selection forms soon came right in the middle of her daydream whirlwind. And yep, she hoped she was about to be swept away.
