we are all born so beautiful. the biggest tragedy is being convinced we're not.


APPEARANCE

↬ with piercing blue eyes and stunningly golden blonde hair that cascades over her shoulder, ivy is renowned for her delicate beauty, in a fragile sort of way, as if she was a glass statue that you feared if you handled a little to roughly, she would shatter.
↬ ivy has two very apparent dimples, which are actually her favourite quality about herself.
↬ she is not particularly curvy or extremely thin, and has an average sort of body type.

GOING DEEPER

[↬ ivy is a very sweet and honest girl. despite her expensive and spoiled upbringing, she isn’t particularly rude or bratty, instead mainting a kind and down-to-earth atmosphere which makes it difficult not to be friends with her.
↬ ever since she was a child, ivy has always had a soft spot for animals. she would constantly pester her parents to bring her pets like dogs and cats, but unfortunately they never could because her mother, anne, was allergic to fur. as a remedy for this solution, ivy was often dropped off at animal shelters where she would spend time playing with all sorts of creatures. her parents hoped she would lose her interest within the first couple weeks, but ivy’s fascination with the job stayed. as she grew older, she volunteer their in her spare time, and was we’ll associated with all the staff members. perhaps, in another world, where there lacked the weight of the role of being heir to her father’s business, ivy would have become a vet or full time animal shelter employee.
↬ alas, her role as heir to her father’s powerful and influential enterprise had been decided the moment upon her birth, and she had been groomed for the role her entire life. even if it wasn’t what she wanted, ivy would take the role as her parents wished it so, ever the darling, obedient child. for as long she can remember, ivy has always been the good daughter. even when her older sister, azalea was around, ivy was the one who strove to please their parents, not azalea. although, looking back, it likely had very much to do with the abuse she was suffering behind closed doors, that ivy, as a child, had never really realised.
↬ the incident occurred when she was six. azalea was twelve. she didn’t know how it had happened. in fact, she barely remembered what had happened. all she knew was what she had heard from maids and servants. something had caught on fire and poor darling ivy had breathed in some of the smoke. ever since that day, every breath was painful labour, and she could barely speak without it feeling as if some was attempting to rip her throat out. she visited doctors around the world, and took speech classes, whatever her parents could do to fix their little girl. but there was no use. while her voice improved slightly, it would forever remain a raspy, wheezing noise. it was fine though. ivy was already a quiet, peaceful child, so it wasn’t as if it changed a huge part of her personality. the next few years went on, ivy became extremely sheltered and protected, and over time, her parents became stricter and stricter. it was only when aster was born that they truly started to leave her alone.
↬ aster was a miracle baby, and from the moment he entered the world, he immediately stole the spotlight and became the star of the show, which have ivy some very deserved space. it was only for a year or two that ivy felt this freedom, with her parents off her back, instead busy cooing over their new baby boy. and then azalea disappeared and everything went to hell. no, ivy had never had the closest relationship with her half-sister. but that didn’t mean she didn’t love her, and when azalea vanished on aster the night before aster’s birthday party, ivy couldn’t help but to wonder if her parents had something to do with it.
↬ there was something haunting about the way no one ever spoke of her again. it was like she was a ghost. as if she had never existed. and as a child, ivy was too shaken, and perhaps a bit scared to ask her parents what had happened to her. when she finally gained her wits about her a few weeks later, ivy approached her tutor and asked her what had happened. she simply told ivy to shush, and not mention that name ever. it was truly a terrifying feeling for a ten year old child to witness.
↬ but life kept moving, and ivy kept breathing. painfully, slowly and against her will, but it kept happening.
↬ when prince felis’s selection was announced, ivy already knew she would be entered. she did not want to go. she wanted to stay. but she said nothing, and the next day ivy was taken to submit her application. ivy believed, that out of all the girls in a province as large as labrador, what were the chances she’d be chosen? but she was, and it was frightening. she did not wish to marry a proper stranger, and even if the chances of that were slim, she did not wish to pursue one either, royalty or not. MISCELLANEOUS

(view spoiler)[↬ ivy enjoys to embroider and sew in her free time, but unfortunately, her skills in that field are very lacking, and much of what she sews looks rather like a five year old attempted it.
↬ same with other artistic endeavours such as painting and sketching, ivy is not particularly skilled, but enjoys it anyway.
↬ ivy absolutely adore animals, and if she had it her way, she would adopt all sorts of creatures, feathery, fuzzy, scaly or otherwise.
↬ maid #1 - angela, twenty-four (fc; lily collins) angela is a neat freak. she has severe ocd, asthma and, anxiety and she stresses over every little detail and gets worried if anything goes wrong.
↬ maid #2 - delthyna, twenty-three (fc; ana de armas) delthyna is a sweet sort of woman, but not at all to be messed with. best friends with the royal security knight, and the woman who helped get gillian assigned as a maid, delthyna is not to be underestimated, a true wolf is sheep's clothing. she's practical and smart, and rarely relies on her emotions to make decisions, and never does she make them hastily.
↬ maid #3 - gillian, fifteen (fc; ella louden) gillian is a an extroverted and bright-spirited sort of person. originally caught by a guard, azalea thorne, gillian was supposed to be arrested, but was instead offered a job in the palace as a maid during the selected as she seemed to be able to protect selected competitors from themselves, such as being able to calm fights and brawls.
