Emms | 8 comments 4 Star read for me.

That final plot twist 🤯

I went into this thinking, oh look another “stranger on the train” inspired mystery. I thought it’ll probably be engaging but nothing really surprising. Boy howdy was I wrong! I had at least 50% figured out, but this one got me good! Second book by this author & I’ve become a fan.

Kristen Fort | 48 comments 4.5 out of 5, if Goodreads would ever give us half-stars. This was really good.

Eh, not my favorite, to be sure. Particularly, juxtaposed with our second book choice this month. They both write the inner narrative/workings of troubled minds but only one does it well, in my opinion. And it’s not this author.

Tiffany (herbtiff) | 66 comments I gave it 4 stars. I don't know that I will consider it a reread so that's where it went to 4 for me.

This was so not what I was expecting. The timeline was intense. Amanda, while I felt sympathy for her, I had a hard time at the beginning. And all of a sudden, I was rooting for her. I so wanted her to win and get some justice.

I am so mixed on Ruth and Billy. They are dark horses. Farrow, he is one of the good ones.

Would I recommend this book. Yes! Would I read again? Maybe. Enjoyable read.

Marinka | 26 comments Just finished reading this. 4 stars from me. Loved all the twists and turn. Great plot!

Julie Grindal (julesgrin) | 45 comments I enjoyed the twisty turning of this story and the timeline change that had some light bulbs going off for me but certainly not all of them. It is a talented writer who brings so much together like Steve Cavanagh did with this book. 4 out of 5 stars.
