Soundtrack Challenge: ~Across the Universe~

From Wiki’s recap of AtU: Across the Universe is a musical romantic drama film directed by Julie Taymor, produced by Revolution Studios, and distributed by Columbia Pictures. The film's plot is centered around songs by The Beatles. It was released in the United States on October 12, 2007. The script is based on an original story credited to Taymor, Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais. It incorporates 34 compositions originally written by members of The Beatles.

Niquae, chick-lit is not my favorite genre; however, I love a good mystery with a touch of ♥romance♥. So, I may try it.

Plus, I'm thinking of entering a challenge that mentions "fashion" in one of the categories.

Hmm, you won't really get a romantic closure with The Fashion Police because it is setting up to be a series.

For mystery with a touch of romance, I also enjoyed . Actually, I think I liked this one better because it wasn't so chick-litty (or at all?). You get a romantic closure here. Book Two has a picture of a low-heeled shoe on the cover too. :)

There's also the Mattie Winston mystery series I mentioned in the other group. It's the one with the nurse turned deputy coroner by Annelise Ryan. Book 2 was really enjoyable (Scared Stiff). I'm in the middle of Book 1 now. You don't really get a romantic closure even in book 2.

And if you are not averse to m/m romance, the Adrien English mysteries by Josh Lanyon are pretty good. The first couple are mostly mysteries with a touch of romance, but the latter books become more focused on the development (or non-development) of Adrien English's relationship(s). This is more evident in the fifth (and last) book.
