Brian Eshleman Why thank you. I am blessed with the combination of some pretty rare conditions which make a lot of reading possible. In fact, you are probably subsidizing my accomplishments as I finally chugged my pride and started drawing Social Security Disability recently. That, along with the Amazon Kindle's capacity to read books at four times normal speed and my God-given ability to understand that as well as, sometimes, read something else at the same time, leads to totals that are really fair to compare to someone else's. We can't boast in our gifts, the Bible says, because they are manifestations of God's grace rather than anything we earned.

David Buccola What is this Kindle feature you mention? I have a kindle oasis. Is there a feature where it moves the text faster? I’ve seen apps that so that one word at a time. Tell me more!

message 9: by Brian (new)

Brian Eshleman Thanks for reaching out and asking! On my Kindle, when I touch the text, a play button comes up at the bottom left. I can adjust the speed at the bottom right. If you don't see that option right away, you could check in your settings. I'm not specifically familiar with the Oasis.
