I'M SO SORRY I just got to this msg because I can't see your comments anywhere except the desktop site, but oh trust me it's not that shocking. Here's what I've done: so say I'm currently reading a book I'm really enjoying, but I stumble upon a video on booktube that praises a different book. I download said booktube book and I skim it while simultaneously reading the IMPORTANT book. Do you follow? I hope you do. So that's how I do it. Usually the books I skim are dark romances like Rina Kent books which is how I've discovered that I don't like Rina Kent very much at all :) that's it! I read at a medium speed, so I'm not exactly a slow reader but I'm definitely not a fast reader either. But if you ask me about the plots of the dark romances I've read this year, you won't get an answer because I repeat, they were SKIMMED.
So what I recommend is simply following booktok, booktube or bookstagram pages because they will prompt and persuade you to read more!! Happy reading and remember, it doesn't matter how many books you read in a year, so long as you truly enjoy what you are reading!! 💜✨

Hi dear! I apologize in advance because I'll be promptly copy-pasting the message I sent to the previous sweet girl that asked me the same thing, so here it is! ❤️❤️

Awwh idk girl I sometimes just force myself to read more and it gets a bit unhealthy because I'm always striving to read more, more, more, and with school and the fact that I dream of writing a book, it gets exhausting, but I try! And as I said, some of the books listed in this reading challenge are also DNFs, so please don't think of me as this book goddess who reads like a thousand books a year. In reality, I've probably TRULY read and enjoyed only about 80 of all these books so far (out of the 105 I've read up until now). The dark romances you see are just me exploring a new genre, and winding up tremendously disappointed lol. Happy reading, again, ily 💙
