Three seasons on, and it's now pretty clear that The Bear is as much about good, solid menswear as it is about the highs (and lows) of working in a professional kitchen. Even in the very first episode of the hit FX show, Carmy (played by Jeremy Allen White) pays for supplies by selling off his vintage Levi's collection. So, when a grail-y Barbour jacket popped up in the first few minutes of the latest season, we were surprised, but not that surprised.
During a heartfelt convo with his sister Natalie, Carmy's at the airport getting ready to leave for New York City to become the big, famous chef that he always wanted to be. The scene left us a little teary, for sure, but in amongst our sobbing and wailing, we couldn't help but notice the jacket that he was wearing.
Known as the Ogston, it was originally designed for farmers and ranchers and people who worked very hard. Over the years, however, it became a must-have piece for those who, well, didn't work at all.
