The people love The Bear's Carmy Berzatto. They also love the Whitesville tees and the big hitter Ralph Lauren jacket that he's dropped throughout season three. And while most real life chefs share his love for elevated workwear, he's also got the same hooves – Carmy Berzatto is a big fan of the Birkenstock Tokio.

Just how the show's pastry chef Marcus Brooks is a big New Balance boy, when Carmy (played by Jeremy Allen White) is in the kitchen, he goes for Birkenstocks. The German shoe company's been around since 1774, but it only achieved hype status over the last decade thanks to ultra comfy silhouettes like Arizona and the Reykjavik. And while our fave TV executive chef could've also bought into that noise as well, he's all about the Tokio instead.

Whether he's scrubbing the floors or cooking up a storm or screaming to his staff about a list of so-called “non-negotiables,” the Tokios keep him on his toes all-day long. And while they look super simple and super sleek, according to the brand itself, it was actually originally designed to be worn in the kitchen – and that's why real life chefs love 'em. Recently, Pied à Terre (a Michelin star restaurant in London) uploaded a video on TikTok that was about the shoes that all its chefs were wearing. And lo and behold, it was Tokio after Tokio after Tokio.

And we don't blame them either. With a smooth leather build and a bouncy cork-latex footbed, there's also a handy strap around the heel. Plus, it's fitted with a Super Grip outsole, which is a lot grippier compared to the “regular” pairs that most dudes own.

While you may never chef as well as Carmy Berzatto, or have the same grit as Carmy Berzatto, at least you can own the same Birkenstocks as Carmy Berzatto. And that's close enough.
